Featured track info and artist bios:

CLOSER/HARDER by Qeeran
As a proudly gay, Chinese-Malaysian artist now based in Melbourne, QEERAN is using his platform to express stories often left untold - stories about mental health, queer intimacy, and identity. With no label or team behind him, this release is self-funded and independently driven, from visual concept to distribution.
This single is the first in a new era of music for QEERAN, following a period of self-rebuilding and redefinition. CLOSER/HARDER is not just a song - it’s a signal of an artist stepping into a fully realised creative voice.
The track is an intimate, cinematic R&B offering that explores the tension between obsession and surrender in queer relationships. Drawing on his lived experience with Borderline Personality Disorder, the song threads vulnerability into every synth- laced layer - sensual, slow-burning, and emotionally stark.

You by Navisha
Driven by a warm, intoxicating and upbeat groove, Boorloo-based soul/funk singer-songwriter Navisha returns with her new track ‘You’ - wrapped in rhythm and sensual tension, the track leans into desire, temptation, and passion.
‘You’ centres on the theme of intimacy, young love and lived moments. The song explores the process of finding oneself through closeness and capturing affection as something felt rather than announced. In contrast to her earlier releases, the track leans into funk-influenced grooves, allowing rhythm to carry the emotional weight. Navisha’s velvety voice remains the central piece.

Rainfall by Minty
Written in the wake of personal loss, “RAINFALL” is an intimate exploration of grief, healing, and renewal, blending melodic hip-hop, atmospheric production and raw, introspective lyricism.
Using rain as a powerful metaphor for release and rebirth, the single invites listeners on a journey toward healing.
The single’s heartfelt lyrics capture the depths of emotional fatigue and spiritual longing, giving listeners a powerful anthem for healing and perseverance. MINTY’s unique style blends melodic rap, hip-hop, and R&B, brought to life by his genuine storytelling and soulful vocals, which glide over a lush, evocative, self-produced beat.

Later Tonight by Kylie Auldist
Off recently released album Hybrid, which aims to expand what soul can be — open-hearted, rhythm-forward and unapologetically authentic.
Developed with a trusted circle of musicians she’s collaborated with over the past decade, Hybrid leans into their live chemistry and deep musical connection. Rather than building songs piece-by-piece in the studio, the record embraces feel, spontaneity and conversation between players — the sound of musicians who know and inspire each other. Across its ten tracks, analogue warmth meets contemporary production, creating songs that feel both timeless, but also firmly rooted in the now.

ALBUM: Glimmers Continued by Velvet Trip
Australian psych-soul project Velvet Trip today releases his long-awaited sophomore album Glimmers Continued, out now and featuring the new single “Tell Me Why”. The record marks a defining moment for Wiradjuri artist Zeppelin Hamilton, capturing his evolution from self-effacing collaborator to fully realised creative force.
“I was terrified to own the spotlight,” says Hamilton. “Glimmers Continued is me reclaiming that power. Velvet Trip has always been me, and it’s time to call it what it is.”
A record rooted in self-acceptance and empowerment, Glimmers Continued finds Hamilton stepping forward with clarity and confide
Anchoring the album is new single “Tell Me Why”, a rhythmic, sample-infused track inspired by Demon Days-era Gorillaz.
Following a transformative year including triple j Unearthed’s most played artist, major festival appearances, a sold-out Sydney Opera House show, and support slots with Djo and Parcels, Glimmers Continued lands as Velvet Trip’s most confident and emotionally resonant work to date.
Velvet Trip will tour nationally this March, performing in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
