Pivot - Fairtrade Narcotics (Algebra Rework) [new release]
Comes 12 months after the release of their NYD smash hit single Pivot. Now they’ve teamed up with producer Algebra to deliver a reworked version - a soundtrack for NYE 2025.
Cascades - Royal Fox Society [new release]
Blending neoclassical, ambient, and electronic music with post-rock, pop, and orchestral influences, The Royal Fox Society creates immersive, atmospheric soundscapes often described as post-classical. Their music balances intimacy and expansiveness, fusing rich string arrangements with subtle electronic textures.
Benjamino [top pick artist for 2025]
Sydney-based artist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Benjamin Cauduro. Known for their rich blend of alt-R&B, nu-disco and dream pop, Benjamino crafts tracks that are both deeply introspective and made to move, blending intricate production with bold, heartfelt storytelling. As a seasoned audio engineer and lifelong musician working with other artists, Benjamin began releasing solo material in 2020. In 2025, they launched their most ambitious project yet: a series of monthly singles leading up to their debut album Cucino. Named after the Italian word for “I cook,” the record is a lovingly crafted sonic meal – layered with lush production, playful storytelling, and emotional depth.
Benny Morrell [top pick artist for 2025]
A Melbourne native, Benny credits household influences such as The Rolling Stones and Fleetwood [Mac?] from a tender age, transcending through adolescence in the sounds of 90s kings Gang Starr, Big Pun & A Tribe Called Quest. First being on stage at just 6 years old. This evolved to selling out his interactive shows and playing festivals at 20 years old, and continuing to take a broad palette of influences from artists such as Anderson Paak, Curtis Mayfield and Paul Simon.
Backyard Battles - Ducks! [new release]
Ducks! know that one day, we humans will lose our war against the elements. When all that’s left of our fancy resort towns is a bunch of abandoned buildings collapsing into the sea, they’ll move right in, open a bar, mix themselves a few spicy margaritas, and start playing this song. ‘Backyard Battles’ is indie disco for empty recreation centres, with lost-and-found percussion, a spooky lead synth, and a dreamy vocal hook that seems to come from a place where nothing much remains of whatever you think is important right now.
Rose City - The Silversound [new release]
A slithering juggernaut of gurgling guitars and dreamscape lyrics bubbling from Melbourne's dark underground, The Silversound is a dee psychedelic trip in the melody-rich tradition of rock's golden age of discovery. 'Rose City’, is a sonic love letter from The Silversound to Rose City Band from Portland. A swirling psychedelic paean, produced by the band's Shane O'Mara, is a euphoric 10-minute devotional offering of Krautrock groove, blissful harmonies from sublime Loretta Miller, snaking guitar, and cosmic country flourishes.
Velvet Trip [top pick artist for 2025]
Velvet Trip is the psychedelic music project of Wiradjuri multi-instrumentalist Zeppelin Hamilton, performed live with Nick Savvas, Clayton Allen, and Sinj Clarke. Their debut EP ‘Velvet Trip & the Six Moon Skies’, was recorded live at Parliament Studios in 2019 amassed hundreds of thousands of streams thanks to Spotify’s ‘Blak Australia’ and ‘Original Storytellers’ playlists..Velvet Trip was extended an honorary invite to showcase Maton Guitars' historical display at Sydney's Powerhouse Museum and has further gained an endorsement deal with Fender. Collaborations with other First Nations artists have seen Velvet Trip performing at the Sydney Opera house alongside Wiradjuri poet Jazz Money, and performing with Emily Wurramurra in the ABC series ‘Going Country’.
Bless Me - ELAURA & LOSUMO [new release]
A striking fusion of contemporary R&B, electronic soul, and rhythmic experimentation—drawing from Latin influences and drum & bass—ELAURA and LOSUMO join forces on “Bless Me.” This release highlights the deep friendship and intuitive musical chemistry between the two artists whose emotional depth, vocal artistry, and creative instincts seamlessly intertwine. Written and self-produced across Colombia and Australia, the project captures a cross continental creative energy that is hypnotic yet grounded, intimate yet cosmic. LOSUMO, a multidisciplinary artist from Arakwal land, merges performance, storytelling, and genre-defying production, while ELAURA blends ethereal R&B, soulful vocals, and Chilean heritage into intimate portraits of love and transformation.
wade in the water - soulfulcraig [new release]
A deep-grooving, fun reinterpretation of the beloved spiritual first brought to international prominence by the Fisk Jubilee Singers in the late 19th century [1901?]. Rooted in the spirit of the original but reframed for the modern ear, this version honours the song’s history while inviting listeners into a rich new sonic space — warm Rhodes organ, earthy basslines, layered call-and-response vocals, and a rolling, deeply human groove. The track serves as both homage and renewal: ancient river, new current.
