Mike Stevens serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Navy League of the United States, a role he took on in January 2019 after a 33-year career in the U.S. Navy that culminated in his service as the 13th Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy from 2012 to 2016, the senior enlisted advisor to the Chief of Naval Operations. His naval career began in 1983 at the Aviation Structural Mechanic Apprentice School in Millington, Tennessee, and spanned a wide range of technical and leadership roles, including Helicopter Crew Chief, Navy Recruiter, Officer Candidate School Instructor, and Command Master Chief assignments at Helicopter Sea Combat Wing Atlantic, U.S. 2nd Fleet, and U.S. Fleet Forces Command. After retiring from active duty in September 2016, he served as Chief Operations Officer and later CEO of Viqtory, a military-focused marketing company supporting veterans' employment, before joining the Navy League. He has also contributed to the National Academy of Sciences as Vice Chair of the Naval Studies Board, served on the board of the Association of the United States Navy, and acted as a guest lecturer at the Naval Postgraduate School. Stevens holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Excelsior University and has completed programs including Harvard's Kennedy School "Leadership in Crisis" course and a Six Sigma Black Belt certification, and he is a recipient of the Peter Tomich Award for exceptional military excellence.
