Sydney Metro has backflipped on a safety measure that could've potentially caused a deathtrap for commuters.
The original plan was to install cross-passage tunnels every 500 metres, which is double the recommended safe distance. But after the issue was raised on 2GB Drive on Monday, the Project Manager has capitulated.
