Sean Parnell, decorated combat veteran, NYT best-seller, and Republican candidate for US Senate in Pennsylvania, joins the Dom Giordano Program to tell us a bit about why he’s decided to get involved in politics. Parnell explains that he was preparing to be a teacher in life until 9/11 happened, in which he was encouraged to join the military. A couple years later, he found himself stationed in Afghanistan in an incredibly heated conflict as the United States tried to find Osama Bin Laden. Parnell explains how he put his fatigues aside and picked up a pen, writing his first book. Since then, Parnell has been heavily involved in politics but had never wanted to be a politician until Donald Trump encouraged him to run for congress. Then, Parnell gets into a discussion about the issues, explaining what he feels his purpose is in running for Senate, and tells why he’s so adamantly against the radical opposition's plans to end the filibuster.
