Radnor Parent Speaks Out Against Mascot Name Change

View descriptionShare

Matthew Marshall, graduate of Radnor High School Class of 1983 and parent of two children who spent their entire K-12 in the Radnor School District, joins the Dom Giordano Program to give a rundown of the situation in Radnor, as the School Board, without input from the community, decided to change the name away from the Radnor Raiders. Marshall, a 55 year Radnor resident, explains why he objects to the name change, laying forth the history of the Raider name for Radnor. Marshall takes issue with the unilateral decision by the school board to rebrand the school at the worst recent time, in the face of a pandemic, injecting politics into an otherwise apolitical topic being the spirit and culture surrounding Radnor schools.
