From muskets and biplanes to artificial intelligence and satellite defence systems- warfare in the 21st century is rapidly changing as we work to outsmart our adversaries in a digital world. 

The Defence Trailblazer program, a strategic partnership between the University of Adelaide and UNSW, seeks to address these evolving challenges to our national security. 

Driving collaboration across academia, industry and government, the program aims to support the defence sector in gaining access to cutting-edge science and research, while simultaneously upskilling the workforce and equipping students with knowledge and capabilities for the future of defence. 

As the Executive Director of that program, Dr Sanjay Mazumdar is the go-to voice on how we turn the research and innovation of today into the sovereign capabilities of tomorrow.
