A first impression is formed in just seven seconds. That impression is formed primarily, 55% of it in fact, visually.

Why does this matter? In today’s episode we are joined by styling and colour specialist Rachel Hook to explore first impressions, personal style, YOUR brand and dressing for success in your business.

We often get caught up in branding guidelines, company logos, brand colours and Social Media influences but we need to remember that we are our business and our personal brand is us. Being confident and comfortable in our own style allows us to showcase our personality. Rachel is here to help us take our brand to the next level and use it to set that important first impression.

We talk wearing the right clothes and colours, exploring what impressions colours can create and how to be confident in any situation while still being your unique self. Make sure you check out the resources below for Rachel’s free download!

About our guest:

Rachel grew up as a musician in a family that personal style and fashion were an after-thought.  She became a professional violinist, playing at numerous functions with her musician husband when she discovered the importance of personal styling.  Rachel became an image consultant in 2009, specialising in computer-assisted colour analysis with personal style for body shape soon to follow. She launched her business by creating women’s colour and makeup parties.  In 2016, Rachel took over the organisation that trained her and has been training personal stylists ever since.  Virtuous Style, her company, also has its own makeup line, helping clients find their best colours to flow with all their outfits.
