We'll talk about the college football playoffs. The bookmakers don't think these are going to be competitive games this according to DraftKings this morning, Indiana against Notre Dame. At Notre Dame, Indiana's getting seven and a half, smu is getting nine at Penn State, Clemson getting eleven at Texas, and then Tennessee getting seven and a half against Ohio State. By the way, odds to win the national title, we have co favorites to win the national title. Oregon and Texas are your co favorites this morning, followed by Georgia, Ohio State, and then Penn State. If I would have said to you in September, Hey, Arizona State's going to be in, Clemson's going to be in, smu is going to be in, Boise State's going to be in. Indiana's going to be in, you'd go wait, basketball, no Footballson got roughed up early. Remember that Georgia roughed them up and then we moved on from Clemson. Well, all you have to do is win your conference. I mean, I don't know if Clemson's any good, but they won their conference. So they're in. SMU survived and I say survived so they could get in because they scored seventeen points in the fourth quarter. If they do not score those seventeen, if they score seven, I don't think they're in the playoffs, and I will sit corrected. I didn't think the committee was going to leave Alabama out, and I'm not alone in that, but it was an interesting conversation they had to have with Alabama didn't get in. Why didn't they get in? They talk about strength to schedule. Well, when you get embarrassed, you got embarrassed against Vandy, you got embarrassed against Oklahoma, just win. That's what this is all about. Arizona State, I think was picked for last in the Big twelve. They're good team. They roughed up Iowa State, Boise State gets a bar Indiana in at Notre Dame. But we're going to be talking about this and I think we had to go through this process for one year now. I think they're going to tweak what you have to do where the seedings are first round by this is where you just say, okay, let's see how this plays out. Let's see where some of the sensitive points are that we can correct. And I still maintain if you're going to do twelve teams, you win your conference, you get in. But that doesn't mean that you get a first round by Boise State shouldn't get a first round by Arizona State, shouldn't get a first round by I think it should be when your conference. Now we start to seed this, that's what happens with the basketball tournament. You're not guaranteed a number one seed because you win the ACC or the SEC. And I think that's what they need to do. Is Boise State, I'm glad they're in, Arizona State, I'm glad they're in. But then after that, I think you got to be fair to strength of schedule. And that's where I think that if you go with rankings, then I think you get a truer sense of how good teams are, what they did during the course of a year, and if you had two losses, maybe three, what was your strength of schedule? This is what I worry about. And you already have athletic directors talking about this, Well, we're going to really look at you out of conference scheduling because there is there's no reason to do something out of conference and run the risk of losing. If you lose more than two games, you're not getting in or it's really going to be difficult. Clemson didn't play anybody. Clemson won the ACC that's all you have to do. Arizona State, just win your conference, Boise State when you're in. But then after that, I think you need to have receding or seating. I can't be giving these schools of first round by I don't think that's fair to the other conferences and the strength of schedule that they may have. You know, it's gonna be tweaked, it's not perfect, and maybe eventually we get to the what are we doing? Why don't we just make this a pro model? And there's gonna be a certain number of schools that are going to play, and there'll be schools maybe get relegated, whatever you want to do with it. We're heading that way. It's almost like when we had one versus two and then we said, how about two more teams? Is that a lot? And then all of a sudden, you know, we had co National champs a long long time ago. I mean, Chap, can you imagine if we had co National champs? Now? Hey, Georgia Tech and Colorado or co National champs. Huh, but we had that. There's so much more attached to this, so many more people, so much more money attached to this. And that's why I think they'll get around to tweaking this a little bit more, and next year you'll probably have something along the lines of what I've been talking about. I have somebody who is close to the committee, and they have told me that this, of course is a topic of conversation whether it gets enacted next year, because I was told, hey, fourteen maybe next year, but probably going to be the following season where you'll have fourteen schools instead of twelve. Let's see how this plays out. It looks fun, it sounds fun. Would I have liked Alabama in South Bend? Yes, I would have. That would have been great. Tennessee. I love that against Ohio State. I mean there's matchups where you go all right, like Clemson's in, you know, and you get Texas, but there's going it almost feels like Oregon would have been better off losing the Big Ten title game. Get I didn't think that they treated Oregon fairly there. And Penn State they look pretty good. They look pretty good. That's the first time where I go, okay, competitive, neutral field, and maybe they will be a tough out, but I think the first round by bothers people probably more than anything else involved in this because you're looking at Boise State in Arizona State and you're going, really yeah, but that's the system this year, all right? Well, we'll probably start with who had the best weekend? Who had the worst weekend? It's one of our favorites on Monday. Okay, you're gonna start positive. Yeah, okay, okay, how about Pooka Nakua. Yeah he had a great weekend.
Yeah he did. He just he's different, Like they're receivers that are fast, they are ones that are quick. He just is tough to bring down.
That catch you out on the sideline was unbelievable.
Yeah, it's almost when you watch and you're going and you know, Cooper Cup has been unbelievable. But Phuka Nakua that's the guy. He's the guy, and you watch him and you go, he's not fast, he's just physical, and all of a sudden, you know, you're pulling in twelve catches all of a sudden, you know. I mean, Buffalo was back and forth with this, and they realized, hey, do we have any defense here? Because that's what the Rams have offense. They have a whole lot of offense. But I loved what I saw with Josh Allen. I mean, when you throw for three and you run for three that's never been done before and no sacks. Here is Sean McVay, the Rams coach, talking about the greatness of Josh Allen.
That's an excellent team. I mean, do you see Josh Allen is an alien. Some of the stuff that he can do and the things that he can create. We knew he was capable of that.
He's shown that.
It's why he is, you know, as well respected and regarded in this league as he is. It's all deserved and earned. But our guys found a way to just make enough plays to be able to come out on top.
Yeah they did. It was fun. That was back and forth. Really enjoyed that. All right, So you have Pooka Nakua, who else you.

He he's been hurt a lot this year, but he's clearly a real deal or like a real dealer, you know, in that they don't the whole Well, you get a little bit of tape on this guy, you figure out how to nobody's figured that out.
Yet, it's true, you know. Yeah.
How about you know who had a pretty good weekend, believe it or not. What about Aaron Rodgers?

He actually he did a couple of things that you were like, hey, there we go.
You mean the things he's supposed to do. Well, Yes, he threw for three hundred yards okay, and they lost. They did, They did lose, but it's a close game. This is why you have Aaron Rodgers.
You can't blame this one on him. That feels like a win. You can't blame this one on Aaron Rodgers.
Is he is he blaming everybody else? It's like, you can't you can't blame me? Yeah? Uh, you know who had a good weekend and he lost and he lost the previous week and he lost the previous week. Bryce Young, Oh yeah, right, Seaton was saying, Carolina, you gotta feel pretty good about that. Bryce Young looks comfortable. They almost knock off the Chiefs, They almost knocked off the Eagles, and it felt like they had a chance. And that's a win in my book, especially where they've been.
Dave can Alis, you're the head coach there, You're like, hey, it started out abysmal. It started out worse than we could have possibly imagined. But it's turned around. Your competitive You have a good weekend, a competitive weekend against a clear Super Bowl contender.
Yeah, that works. Yeah. And then and then you did it against the Chiefs where you had a chance.
Yeah, yes, Pauline, I'll throw in Rock Purty twenty of twenty five, three twenty five, two touchdowns, almost a perfect quarterback rating. They smoked the Bears. He's looking at a contract in this offseason.
I know they're I thought, maybe you do that Baker Mayfield kind of contract.

And the insiders he and Rapoport was saying, no, no, full boat that they're looking at a full boat, full boat for Rock Purdy. How about Sam Donald? Sam Donald five touchdown passes. All he does is when I like how the Vikings everybody's going Vikings are geniuses. They got Sam Darnald, Well, are they really brilliant?

They you're not getting credit for Sam Donald, you're not. You drafted JJ McCarthy. Kirk d Cousins got rid of him, and Sam Donald was going to be a backup. Now he's played well, But I don't know if I can go man that organization. They're two steps ahead of everybody else. I don't think you were planning on this. But Sam Darnald he's been great at times, he's been great, and Kirk d Cousins.

He is not. And you know I do like Kirk d Cousins, but this isn't personal when I say they should bench him. I would like to see Michael Pennix Junior, the third get a chance go in there. He can't be worse. It's it'd be almost impossible to be worse. And I would put him in there and maybe you see something and let's say he struggles. Okay, at least he got a taste this year to get ready for next year. Yes boy.
A month ago, kirk Cousins had just finished winning five of six games his last time. Two games were on National TV to end October, they beat Tampa and beat Dallas. He had four touchdowns and then three touchdowns the next week, no picks. In the last four weeks, he's thrown eight interceptions and no touchdowns. He undid it in a month.
The Falcons are the first team in NFL history to have a four game span where they didn't have a passing touchdown. They threw over at least eight interceptions while allowing at least eight passing touchdowns and getting zero interceptions. Who stand of a day? Stantaa day? Start out of a day? Stant outa day.

The Mets have shelled out seven hundred and sixty five million dollars for Juan Soda. I don't know if it takes talent, Like when somebody says, wow, okay, congratulate that. I think their owner Steve Cohen said, look, I'm going to pay more than anybody else. And that's music to Scott Boris's hears. That's all we want. It's like, is this the right place for my guy or the right amount of money for my guy? And it's the right amount of money for his guy. So Wan Soto is going to the Mets seven hundred and sixty five million dollars for fifteen years. Congratulations? I think seven hundred and sixty five Yes, Marman.

What's life going to be like in sports in the year twenty forty? Wow, what's it going to be like? So when this contract is up by Juan Soto, twenty forty guys are going to get a billion. Who's getting a billion dollars baseball players billion, I would think, because you already got up to seven hundred now seven sixty five, seven sixty five. Do I hear seven eighty seven eighty seven eighty seven eighty Do I hear eight? One hundred million dollars? Yeah?
Seed crazy is that the person who's going to get a billion dollars is probably like three or four years old right now.
Well, you're going to have one hundred million dollar a year basketball player. That's going to happen. First, football players, quarterbacks are probably going to get in the next five years. Maybe you get to seventy five million, I'm guessing. But basketball, the NBA, it just do the math, and I still think Shay Gilgis, Alexander or Luca don Chick are going to be the first one hundred million dollar a year basketball players. Baseball we're getting close to, like not necessarily how much you make per season, but it's how much you make the totality of that contract. They know to do when to do it, and there's a certain calm that you have. There's certain athletes, certain teams, certain coaches that they prepare for this. They're good. They're just good at being able to kind of like block everything out. And look at the last play with Mahomes and Kelsey. They've been doing this a long time. Nothing fancy about it. It's just Mahomes has this ability to make a subtle move when he feels pressure, subtle move, get out of the way, He finds Kelsey and then you kick a field goal. Here's Andy Reid after the game.
I have trust in Matthew, so I was good with where we were. Percentages are pretty high. I know we've won a game in that same situation on the opposite end, so I get it. But he's he's a solid kicker, so I wasn't too worried about it.
Yeah, you just you have my Homes. You just start there. Nobody has whom Josh Allen was wonderful against the Rams, incredible, But this Kansas City defense is good and they keep you in the game and then when it comes down to the final two minutes, as we saw with Brady, as you saw at times with Montana, it was like, oh, you're in trouble. And that's the feeling. I can't imagine what that that's like for the defense when they're going, God, you want your offense, just score touchdown, just score, make it tough. Now they have a chance. And then you go out there and you know he's just looking for one little moment. Then he got it and they won again. And it's not by accident. I mean they've done this, they continue to do this, and the game has turned into they're all one score games. It feels like ninety nine games have been decided by six points or less. That's the most through Week fourteen in NFL history. Yeah, they continue to set that record every single week. These games come down to one score. And that's why one moment, one mistake, and then you're done, and the great teams take advantage. They seize that moment, They embrace that moment, They love that moment.
Yes, Mark, if you're a Chargers fan, did you feel good about that yesterday? Like now going if we make the playoffs, we can really make some noise when we get in there.
I thought they were going to win the game. Prior to the start, I thought they're going to win this game, and you have your moment there. But the Charger's got to get to that point where they can win these games where Justin Herbert says, I got it, Jim Harball says, hey, we got this. They had their opportunity and there's still a dangerous team. It's kind of interesting, though, how Justin Herbert's being used. Look at some of these quarterbacks. The Bills don't want Josh Allen throwing the ball thirty five times. They's so much better when he does it. Jalen Hurts with the Eagles, he didn't really do much damage. Justin Herbert, he doesn't you know he's going to. He threw a lot more than I thought he was going to. But you kind of want to get that balance. We're seeing these offenses want to be a little more balanced now. I don't know if they're going to be like that in the playoffs, but they do look for balance.

The Ravens run the ball. You know all these teams, the Eagles are probably a run first team. Now, Buffalo runs the ball really well, Like this is what teams want to get. Give me balance here a little bit or maybe it's sixty forty because it wasn't that long ago when it was probably eighty twenty passing to running and your running back was a guy who caught passes.
Yes, Paulin two years ago, Justin Herbert had six hundred ninety nine passing attempts. This year, he's on pace for five hundred and thirty the same number of games.
Yeah, they want that because that means that you can control the clock, you are probably ahead in the game. And I think that's really the important part of all of this. You're getting towards the postseason. Now, can you do what you've done in the postseason? And with Kansas City, as much as they're not a great team, but having that ability to win who else game on the line? What other team do you go they can be as good as Kansas City? And the answer is nobody, truly nobody. Can I trust Jalen Hurts in that moment, He's going to make that big play. Josh Allen is going to make that big play. Justin Herbert, Jordan Love, Jared Goff. There's one Mahomes that's it because he has shown that he can do that. These other players, you know, Jared Goff has gotten to a Super Bowl, an NFC titled game. Jordan love Is played well last year in the postseason. Josh Allen, We've seen him play well up until he doesn't play well. You know, Joe Burrow's not going to be in the playoffs. Tua, by the way, is playing really well. I watch a lot of that game with the Jets, and he looks really it's gonna sound like it's not a compliment. He looks efficient, like there's just an efficiency there and spreading the wealth around. Russell Wilson Junior the third played well. Although I'm watching and and uh, Jamis throws a touchdown pass and I'm like okay. And Nate Burrelson comes on to give the update from CBS. He's like, you know something about Jamis is must see TV, just like Jerry Springer. And speaking of Jerry, Jerry Judy with a touchdown, I go, okay. I think now let me see the next time he gets the ball, because I can pretty much guarantee James Winston's going to throw an interception and bingo, bango, bongo, there you go. He had two interceptions and two touchdown passes.

Yeah, yeah, I think those days are gone of you know, these guys throwing forty touchdown passes. And I go back, you know, year two he threw fifty touchdown passes. That's and worse for the weekend? That ram Bill game very exciting. Worse the officiating in the ram Bill game. They lost. They lost eleven seconds. There was an offensive PI in the first half that was atrocious and if anyone can explain to me how that wasn't. Holding by Cooper Cup on the Rams final touchdown is beyond me. I'm a high school football official and holding a lot of times is positioning. Cooper Cup gets lazy and he wraps his arms both arms around the defender out in front of the officials at the point of attack. That's holding. Bad officiating in that.
Game, Randy, what's it like to deal with high school parents?
It almost makes you I want to officiate. The lower you go, the worse. It is like junior high parents standing on the sidelines screaming and they have no idea what they're talking about and that's why we have a shortage officials nationwide.
What's the worst it ever got?
We got escorted out of a Rivalry games parking lot by police. And I think it was like a thirty two point game, so I guess we had a big outcome or a big impact on the outcome. The team lost by thirty two points, but parents wanted to kill us.
Well, why did you want to be an official to begin with?
It's kind of a bug. I did baseball for about thirty five years and I got into football about twenty five years ago. And if you do it, it's it's addictive. The blast that you work with some good guys, The atmosphere is fun, and you kind of have to go back to, Hey, maybe we're helping use sports a little bit by doing this.
Well you are, and thanks for doing it, and thanks for calling in, Randy. It's tough. I remember doing little league baseball and then I did Legion ball and I was an umpire and you would have parents stand right right on the fence. They'd be yelling right behind you. The batting cage, batting area, they'd be right there and they would be pressed up against that. They'd be yelling at you, and they would be sitting that's a ball How can you call that? You know? Like it was I had to run somebody one time and I said, you're out of here. He said, says who, And I said me And he goes, what are you going to do about it? I said, I'm going to forfeit the go ahead. So I said, all right, I'm gonna and the guy goes, all right, all right, I'll leave. All right, I'll leave. So he goes down first baseline and he's just outside of the fence and I can still hear him because he didn't he even said, you're kicking me out of the ballpark, right? I said yes, And so he just went to the outskirts and was still yelling. And I'm thinking, I'm getting paid, like I don't know, four dollars an hour. You know, it's just not worth it. It's not. And having a father who used to yell at officials during my basketball games, I understand it. It's tough, thankless job. And the fact that you have to be escorted by police out of a parking lot. They should not let parents go. They should say we're going to make the game available for you to watch it. The kids are usually fine. It's the parents. Yeah, PAULI.
I went to youth game a couple months ago and this PA announcer is welcome to blank blank whatever. Please be courteous to officials. Blah blah blah, do not heckle the players. And if you did play professional basketball, then you can tell the refs what they're doing.
Please stand up.
If you played in the NBA, nobody stands up and everyone left. It's pretty snarky.

When the final rankings came out, the playoff matchups came out, you thought, what, uh.
Is Oregon the number one seed or Georgia. That's the first thing when you saw the finalized bracket was man, Oregon's got a tough row a hoe for a team that was undefeated, that looked like the best team all year long, and you look at their side, and if I'm starting to look at teams that I think have the talent to get hot and to win this thing, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas all on their side. And so if I'm Oregon, I probably was a little bit frustrated from that. And then obviously the SMU Bama debate being settled, going to SMU.
Okay, what did you think about that decision?
Well, here's the thing, man, I get a little bit frustrated. And I know Bama fans are great fans, and they should be great fans.
They've had a lot to cheer about.
And I do understand how you point to the wins and you say we have better wins than SMU, But we also have to point to the losses. And we got to realize that you got two losses to six and six teams, and you got beat by twenty one to a six and six team. And so while I do understand that they played better COMPETI got more wins. Also to understand that they got dominated by a poor team late in the season. They were very up and down throughout the season without a lack of consistency, and SMU was really consistent and then lost in a championship game. And the committee also showed us two the way they ranked people, like they did not hurt anybody for playing in a championship game. They have in years past. This year you could tell Texas didn't get hurt. They still got a huge ranking. They still got the.
Three seed overall, so Penn State. Same thing.
They didn't drop people off the face of the earth because of a conference championship loss.
What would you tweak going into next season?
Dan, It makes my head hurt when I see the rankings and then the seatings being different, Like I just needed to all be one.
I don't need all of this number of stuff. I'm not that bright. I don't want to think that hard. I think the.
Best team should be on the they should be seated one through twelve if we're going to stay at twelve and seed in one through twelve and give them the best matchup and the best path going forward. But the seedings, with the rankings, you know, it's just frustrating. I think everybody would get away with or do away with the preseason stuff. Probably more and more because we have preconceived notions going into the season that don't turn out to be true with the ranked wins, sometimes that we're very fraudulent, but also will.
Change one other thing.
Dan like, I need more interconference matchups, so I need to get rid of some of these cupcakes, and I need the ACC to play Every team in the ACC needs to.
Play one team in the SEC.
Every team in the AEC needs to play one team in the Big ten, Every team in the ACC needs to play one team.
In the Big twelve.
So now when we're doing this crossover game and this strength of schedule game and who would beat who game, we have more information and more data points that go into it that can help us make more informed decisions.
I've been suggesting since this format started is if you win your conference, you're in. I'm fine with that. It's like the NCAA Tournament with March Madness. If you win the SEC, that doesn't mean you're number one seed. You just get in the tournament. You're gonna have a pretty high seed. So Boise State winning its conference or Arizona State winning their conferences, you're in. That doesn't mean you get a first round by let's be fair to everybody. Have Vegas give you their odds, and then once you're in and then we seed you. We have one through twelve, and then you have your matchup. So whoever is won. If you have Oregon at one and you have Clemson at twelve, that's your first round matchup, or they get a buy for the first four you know seed, you know, first four ranked teams. I'm okay with all of that. I don't think it's that difficult to figure this out moving forward.
We're gonna make everything difficult, that's what That's what we're gonna do. I mean, we even made the head to head difficult, Like you know, when you're starting to diagnose you know, Bama, South Carolina, Ole Miss, and you're starting to do that game between those three we were talking and like everybody's banging the drum for South Carolina. They had a great season, Dan, an awesome season, but you lost the Bowl teams like that's part of the criteria.
The criteria very much stipulates its.
Head to head and then common opponents, which when you went with Bama and ole Miss, they had a lot of common opponents and ole Miss quite honestly fared better against them. But yeah, I think the committee maybe a little more transparency there.
I think you would take that too, Dan, wouldn't you?
I would? But college football loves a mess, though, David. Yeah, if this was clean and there's no debate, like they want this to be debated, they're okay with being criticized. We were not allowed to see what goes on in those meetings.
So but at least we're debating.
At least we're debating twelve, the twelfth of thirteen, fourteenth team versus four, five and six, and then FSU was undefeated getting left out, So that makes you feel a heck of a lot better. You're leaving out a team that's going to bang their chest they got three losses, Like, that's not We're not feeling sorry for anybody with three laws.

Man, that's a great question. I think I would go with confidently. I would go with four. I think there's four teams that could win it.
Actually, i'd go with five.
Because I and I know people are going to say this to me, like Notre Dame's never done anything, and they're going to push back. But I just I like the dominance that I've seen from Notre Dame. I like the attitude. I think they know exactly who they are, which I think there's a lot of teams in here that we don't really know who they are.
So the one side, I'll go Georgia and Notre Dame.
On the other side, again, this is why the brackets harder, I'll go Oregon. I think Tennessee could win it. I think Ohio State could win it. And I'm not there on Texas just because of their offense, but I think with their defense, with their defense being so elite, I think it'll keep it in it. But offense has been so I mean, it's so strange to have a start team that's not great on offense.
But I guess that's six four up top, two down low.
Okay, should it be held against Georgia that Carson Beck got injured and now now granted his backup is a five star recruit, but we did this to Florida State. I've already heard from Florida State fans, Are you going to penalize Georgia now it's twelve teams, if it's four, I don't know if Georgia's in Like, I don't know how these things would have played out like that, But did the committee penalize Georgia in any way that they may not have their best quarterback going forward?
I think that the difference between FSU and Georgia to me is Georgia clearly looked better with their backup quarterback.
FSU looked like a train wreck on offense.
So that that's where I would say FSU's defense still looked elite. They still won the ACC they were still great. Georgia's defense still looked elite, But like I could, I would argue I watching that game, the second half, Georgia's offense went like this as opposed to off a cliff with FSU.
So I think that probably goes into it as well.
And I know you played defense and watching these games this weekend, like the NFL was violent, it's not as violent as college football. It's just not. I mean, it feels like they let you play a little bit more, you get away. I know they have targeting, but damn that Texas game. I mean, holy smokes, David.
That that hit near the goal line was outstanding too. I mean, like, listen, I don't care. We can debate whether that's targeting. Dan, Like, it's overtime and you are trying to score inside of my five, I'm taking your lid off. I'm doing whatever is necessary to keep you out of my end zone. But I think the biggest difference when I was in it, man, like, the passion and adrenaline and the hatred is a little bit stronger at the college level. When I was in the NFL, I remember being around piles and the kind of like holding you up, like, hey, don't get tangled up, don't get in the pile.
I'm like, what what so I think it is? It is definitely a different game.
And listen, everybody can plan Dan when we went to when we talked about nil and we talked about transfer portal and everybody got upset, and I get it.
But because of that, we.
Have more parody in the game of college football than we've ever had. Nobody's going anymore to sit behind at big time schools and be developed. They're going to get a paycheck, and so the talent is spread out more, the dominance of the teams are aren't as big as they used to be, and so I think it's even more intense every week and more hatred than some of the rivalries obviously being there every single year.
What if Ohio State loses to Tennessee. Oh boy.
You know, it's interesting to hear Kirk on the broadcast the other day talk about, you know, the Ohio State and if if they start slow, the fans jumping on top of them and booing, and there's just it's just crazy with the Ryan Day because forty seven and one in the Big ten, forty seven in one, but one in four versus Michigan, and that has just been absolutely his kryptonite and he's had no answer for it. And even Michigan and Dan it's not hardball because he's gone, Like, it's not all those players that got drafted because he's gone. It's not Connor Stallions because he's gone. Like it's it's running out of things on the other side that continue to beat you. So if I'm an Ohio State fan, I get the frustration. I know he's been great, but yeah, first round lost to Tennessee, which could happen because Tennessee's a really really good football team.
I don't know what the heck it looks like in Columbus.
How rough was the year for Calin de bor at Alabama?
You know, it's interesting because if we're gonna be fair, and I always want to be fair, there's so many players that left, like this is not the same team Nick Saban had from a talent standpoint, like guys took off left and right once they found out that Nick Saban was leaving was retiring, So his talent isn't as great as it was. But I think the inconsistencies in the up and down, and I think what you thought with Kaylyn de Boor you got was an offensive genius who would.
Score a bunch of points.
So to have them score, you know, the second last game of the season against Oklahoma, to score three points and get beat by twenty one, like, that's not acceptable if you're a Bama fan. Not going to the playoff is one thing, but losing to Vandy, losing to Oklahoma, penalties, palooza, offense, not taking off like you should. So I think there's gonna be frustration. I think this helps recruiting from an other standpoint because the negative recruiting is going to pile on like crazy. So I definitely don't think he came in. I'm not gonna give him an a. I don't think he failed either. But you know, somewhere in there was a c because it was a kind of a it's kind of a blow average season for Alabama.
He gets one of these it's one of these what seasons?
Uh yeah, maybe two at the very most too. But yeah, yeah, you're right because this is not Alabama, Like, this is not their standard and who they are, So yeah, there is. It's not going to be a long leash for an Alabama coach that has a lot of talent, a lot of resources in the history of that program.
