Dan discusses Travis Hunter’s Heisman Trophy Award and the very deep class of Heisman hopefuls who were in contention this season. And NFL insider Ross Tucker recaps week 15 of the NFL season.
You are listening to The Dan Patrick Show on Fox Sports Radio. Hope you had a great weekend.
Everybody.
It's our two on this Monday, Dan and the Dan It's Dan Patrick Show. Our buddy Ross Tucker will join us. Coming up a little bit. Gary Danielson for CBS Sports was on the call for Army versus Navy. Navy roughed up Army. Big surprise there. Colorado's Travis Hunter wins the Heisman. No surprise there, And I know this is getting a little bit of reaction. Ashton Genty, a Boise State who I voted for. He was first on my ballot, then it was Travis Hunter, then it was Shadoor Sanders. You could vote for three you're not allowed to or you're not supposed to announce who you voted for until the ceremony is over. But Ashton Genty was interviewed by a local TV station in Boise This is Channel seven KTVB and starts with the reporter's question.
You got a college football playoff game coming up on the end of the month. At the end of the month, does this pour a little more fuel on the fire at all?
I think it does that.
I mean, anytime you know, you have something that you know.
You feel you should have accomplished or you know you should.
Have been given. Obviously everything is earned, but I just I really feel like I should have walked away with the award. But you know, kudos to Travis and you know, for winning. But as a simple.
As that, yeah, now they got a bye week. That was one of those where you look at the playoffs and you're like, who's Boise State playing nobody? They'll play the winner of SMU versus Penn State, and that feels like that would be winnable for Boise State. They'll probably be a touchdown underdog to Penn State. I believe those were the projected odds. If they were going to face Penn State, well, they'd probably be an underdoged SMU as well. But Ashton Gentsy has every right to feel like he should have won the Heisman, put up a great year, and his team is in the playoffs. Travis Hunter, though, what he did when you play both sides of the ball and he was the best player on the field, just felt like he was going to win. The question is by how much. But I had Shadoor Sanders a third on my ballot and probably now, I put up great numbers, but the toughness part of that. Whenever I watched and I kept coming back to that, because when you get to the NFL, can you sit in there in the pocket and take a hit, because a lot of guys they get rid of the ball a little sooner the older you get, you want, you know, and Shadoor Sanders stays in the pocket and he takes hits, and something to be said for that. He put up really good numbers. They were a good team, came close to making the playoffs, and ever probably you know five to seven legitimate Heisman candidates, and you know, you like seeing some of these other players get recognized. Now, cam Ward played great. I just think they had too many close games. They lose the game against Syracuse, you lose against Georgia Tack. I mean that cost them could have been in the playoffs there. So I don't think you had an SEC player in the top ten balloting.
I don't over.
I don't know the last time that that happened, an SEC player not in the top ten for the Heisman balloting.
Yes, Paul, you're correct.
After Hunter gent Dylan Gabriel three, cam Ward four, cam Scatibo.
Love to say that name.
It's so much fun to say of.
Arizona State, Bryce and Daly of Army, Tyler Warren of Penn State, Shador Sanders of Colorado, Curtis Rourke of Indiana, Kyle mccordiff Syracuse.
Yeah wow, no sec player.

See Paul sent over an interesting one underrated team I'd least like to face in the playoffs if I were a favorite, Okay, if Broncos, Buccaneers, Rams, Vikings, Okay, okay, I'll tell you what.
I don't want to face the Buccaneers right now. No, I wouldn't either.
What they did to the Chargers on the road was really really surprising, and I thought this was just going to be one of those methodical Charger wins.
You know they're gonna win it.
They're gonna win by six and they're got like twenty three seventeen, and you know, we'll probably not get a really good indication of you know, either team, it's like they should win. They're playing at home. They're really good defense. But give credit Baker Mayfield Junior, the third played great. Having Mike Evans back. I hope he gets to one thousand yards now. He's been injured. I don't know how many games he's missed, but to get to it one thousand yards receiving again would be what like ten years in a row for him. It's it's incredible. I mean, he's got a Hall of Fame career. But all right, eight seven seven three DP show operator Tyler's sitting by. He'll take your phone calls. Good morning if you're watching on Peacock, our streaming partner, our radio affiliates around the country. Josh Allen, he had a great weekend. You know, when you're the only quarterback in the last fifty years to have three consecutive games you weren't sacked, no fumbles, no interceptions, no negative yardage plays. Nobody's done that in fifty years.
It could be a stat.
Of the Day, stat of the Dame, stat of the day, stat of the day.
What stat of the day.
But the Bills have scored and allowed forty or more points in back to back games. The only other team to do that nineteen sixty six New York Giants. So they have to have great games out of Josh Allen, and so far he has done that. But it doesn't feel like he's pressing. I always thought in previous years he would press. He was trying to do a little too much. Now it truly feels like he figured the game out. Now he's going to have a performance that won't that'll be subpar.
They all do.
But when he's playing at a peak level, the highest of highs, he's a better version of Cam Newton. And Cam Newton was an MVP, better passer, but you give that dual threat, and he's truly a dual threat. And then he had the chess pass that would have been for a touchdown, but there was a that that's Mahomesyan where it's like he's throwing chest passes. That's how comfortable he was. Monday Night Football. We have two games.
I keep waiting.
The Bears have one game left in them. They do. They have one game where they're gonna play well, is it tonight? They're getting seven against the Vikings. The Falcons, they're favored by five and a half against the Raiders. Okay, who is the starting quarterback for the Falcons at the end of this game? Go around the room, Marvin Who is the Falcons starting quarterback at.
The end of the game.
Michael Pennix, Okay, Paul.
Kirk Cousins, Don kirk Cousins, Satan kirk d.
What is prime time? Kirk d Cousins. So I'm going to say he is. But I still think they got to They have to at least let Michael Pennix Junior, the third play a little bit. At some point, I would really want to put him in. They might be they might be worried he might play well. And then all of a sudden, you got a quarterback controversy.
Yes, John, you said, there's one more good game left in the Bears. I'm just this. So I decided to just look at the remaining schedule.
So they got the Vikings tonight in Minnesota, they host the Lions, They've got they host the Seahawks, and then they're.
At the Packers. So of that group, where's that one big Bears?
Maybe maybe see you Can I remove that? Can I have the court stenographer take that out?
Ah?
Wow, I'll say I'm saying tonight, are you saying a good performance or a win?
No?
No good performance?
Oh yeah, I thought you might.
A win.
Maybe Seattle. Maybe they have to they have to, like it's just the football gods.
Where you go? Dang, didn't see this one.
It was like Carolina was favored against Dallas, and I go, look, I've watched a far more Carolina games than I care to admit, and they have shown improvement. I wouldn't have made them the favorites against the Cowboys, and the Cowboys proved that yesterday, Yes, poem.
Wouldn't it be classic Kirk Cousins if he won and played really well tonight and turned the narrative back with the home stretch? They have Raiders, Giants, commanders, Panthers. Yeah, there's an opportunity to get back in it.
Yeah, well it better start tonight. I'll tell you what I watched, and I couldn't turn it off. It was so bad. It was so bad. But I watched you guys want to guess a sporting event. It was so bad I couldn't turn it off. I was absolutely fascinated.
Marvin. I'm going to start with you.
Steven A versus Can Smith free throw shooting contest.
Okay, I didn't understand like what the bet was. By the way, that's not the worst thing I watched, but similar in bad shooting.
Stephen A.
Smith who was on a smaller basketball school. He was on the team. I don't know how many years, I don't know how much he played, but he wait, where'd he go to school?
Winston Winston Salem State.
Winston Salem State.
Okay, and he was going to do a free throw shooting contest against Kenny Smith. But Kenny Smith, who is probably an eighty three percent free throw shooter for his NBA career, had to shoot left handed. Okay, why why don't you just have Kenny be blindfolded and shoot free throws right handed? Because Kenny, you'll make eight out of ten if you're I've done that before on the show. These guys have, you know, closed your eyes, see how many you can make. I think I made seven or eight out of ten. If you can shoot, you can shoot, and Kenny would That's what I would have done. I would have blindfolded Kenny instead of making him shoot left handed, but I didn't.
Was Barkley involved in this too? Was he shoot?
I don't know what the whole thing was. I know it was like, oh, you know steven A against Kenny. I said, well, Kenny will crush him shooting free throws, and then I tune in or I saw a clip and Kenny's clanking left handers.
I'm like, who came up with the rules on this? Did Charles shoot? Did you see it?
Marvin?
I did not. I only saw Kenny versus stephen A.
And I'm sure Shaq didn't shoot either.
Daph Patrick deaph Patrick Show.
Okay, this is what I watched.
The Hornets and the Bulls combined to shoot twenty two for ninety seven from three point range on Friday. They missed seventy five three pointers. I couldn't turn it off. This is where you have to if you don't make a certain percentage in the first half, then they have to cap you.
They likely not shoot you. No, no, no, not cap caw.
That seems harsh players and you would.
Never they'd probably miss Oh okay, yeah, yeah, okay. I'm watching this and and I'm thinking, at some point, does somebody say, how about we go inside.
How about we we take it to the hoop. They miss seventy five three pointers.
Now on the flip side, the Warriors and the Mavericks, that was a three point shooting showy. They incredible performance there, but once again, not everybody should be shooting so many threes.
They shot ninety seven threes, twenty two for ninety seven.
Yes, Marvin Brandon Miller was three for fifteen for three point range.
John startzying like you're just At some point the coach has to say.
Let's go inside.
How about we how about.
Mid range jumpers relaxed, Yes, Marvin for shooter shoot uh, but these aren't all shooters. I want makers. I don't want shooters, like, come on, that was bad. But I couldn't turn it off, so I know I rail on the three point shot and there I was watching mesmerize. Yes, Marvin, you live a full life, VP I do. I'm downstairs. I have I have an old fashion keeper's hard old fashion had a nice cigar called my father's. And I'm just watching clank after clank after klank, and you can't turn it off, and it's Friday night. I'm killing it in the basement by myself. Because my wife will go, what are you watching? I said, bleep in basketball? She goes, why are you watching it? I go, I can't turn it off. Hun So she goes, they're not making them. I go, I know, that's why I can't turn it off. Alrighty, so we got our poll question for hour two Seaton. I don't know if I just blew through the stop sign there.
Yeah, no, we we are putting up their underrated team I would least like to face in the playoffs.
Okay, I like that. Yes, why are you using that voice? Yes, that sounds like the creepy voice that I would use. Yeah, yes, all right, we'll take a break. Ross Tucker is going to join us. We'll talk about the Heisman transfer portal. I told you Sore said there were two players in the playoffs who were going to be transferring. One of those players player at Penn State. He announced that he's transferring, and I think he's the backup quarterback who has played and played well and he is transferring before the playoff game. Well, take a break. Ross Tucker next on the Dan Patrick Show.

The last time the SEC did not have a player finish in the top ten in the Heisman voting two thousand and five, Reggie Bush, Vince Young, Matt Liner, Brady Quinn, Michael Robinson who played at Penn State, aj Hawk, di'angelo Williams at Memphis, Drew Olsen UCLA, Jerome Harrison Washington State, Elvis Dumerville from Louisville Wow, the leading passer in the SEC that year. In two thousand and five, former reality star Paul Aaron Murray, Jake Cutler, Oh, Jake Cutler, leading rusher at Auburn that year, leading rusher in the SEC.
Marvin Cadillac Williams.
No, but I like that. Kenny Irons.
Kenny Iron lead leading receiver that year. SEC played for South Carolina, might have played.
For the Vikings.
Paul all Sewn, Jeffrey Sydney, Rice Sydney, Right's gonna kill Paul all Day, Shot, My week is shot. He's Ross Tucker, CBS Sports Westwood One, NFL college football analyst. He was on the call Patriots Cardinals yesterday. I was watching Ross just to let you know. Everybody else is watching Bill's Lions, Eagles, Steelers. I'm watching the Patriots and the Cardinals. He'll also be in the booth for Westwood One Thursday Night Broncos and the Chargers, Ross Tucker jooning us on the program.
Where do you want to start?
You tell me, man, there's a lot. I mean, I know you got Gary coming on later for Army Navy. We can talk about the Heisman, you know what. You know. Where would like to start, Dan, I would like to start with the college football playoff and the transfer portal.
Okay, and I'll tell you why.
Okay. I live in central Pennsylvania. I live in the Harrisburg Hershey area. And Penn State's backup quarterback Bo Praboula, who plays like twenty snaps a game because Pentate has this creative offensive coordinator and Prabula is sort of like a Trace McSorley clone. He announced last night that he's going into the transfer portal and will not be with the team for the college football playoffs. So now they're playing Saturday against SMU. It's the first playoff game in Penn State history. It's a home game. He grew up going to Penn State games. He's a huge Penn State fan. He loves to say he's living his dream. Now we have to assume that this probably means Drew Aller the starter, is coming back next year because I thought if Aler left, Praboula would start a couple of years. But something is so wrong here, Dan, that you've got a kid that he's an important part of the team. However, if he stays with the team through the playoffs, he's not going to get a spot somewhere else. These other programs are not waiting for him right. Like, if you're at any of these other programs, name Memphis or Central Michigan, I don't care Ohio State. They need to know who their quarterback's gonna be, and if Krabola can't say yes to them, they got to move on to the next kid. I just hate this. This would be like if NFL free agency was the second week of January. I hate this for Penn State. I hate this for the kid. Like this is a major major problem for college football.
This seems like an easy fix, or the fact that they didn't think that this was possible. I said this last week. I was told by a source there are two players in the playoffs who are going to transfer during the playoffs. This is one of the players. There's gonna be one more who's going to transfer from what I'm told. And this is what's happening these schools who are looking for these players now because the transfer portal was open. They are saying to them or their representatives, we don't want you playing another game if we're going to bring you in and give you an il. That's what's going on. And I understand both sides of this. Hey, I want to play. I'm not going to starting quarterback at Penn State. Yes, we're in the playoffs. They want me now. I either go now or they're going to move on to somebody else. We don't want you playing. We don't want you getting hurt. Like if you're playing for Penn State, you might play three games coming up here. And that's what's amazing is you're willing to quit on your team because somebody wants you and they want you right now.
Well, and here's the thing, Like he grew up like twenty minutes from where I am right now. This has to be eating away. This isn't like sid from Florida that went to Penn State. Like there's pictures of him that they show all the time, five years old, eight year old, ten year old at Penn State game at Penn State gear on, Like this is he's living his dream. But you know, like all of us in life, you get to the point where it's like, Okay, the dream got this far and it was great to play football for Penate, But the other dream is to actually be a starting quarterback, maybe have a chance at the pros. Whatever can you imagine? Let's just picture We're watching SMU Penn State on Saturday, second college football playoff game. Ever in the expanded format, what happens if Drew Aller gets hurt on the second play and Penn State has to put a true freshman into the game that's never played before other than garbage time. That that is such a bad look. And the thing is, I know there's a window for after the playoffs where guys can enter the portal, but that that's the other These other coaches there their livelihood. We got a group of five coaches getting fired after two years all over the place. The guy at Charlotte, Tom Herman, f Au, They're getting fired like this they can't wait. Plus the thing that people never never even talk about. They are still supposed to be taking classes like they are. They are supposed to be registered for the second semester. Like, that's not even Now you're a conversation ross. Now you're getting silly. You went to Princeton. You went to Princeton's that's different. There your initial reaction comments to Bill Belichick going to North Carolina. I'll give you an opportunity looking back on those comments. Do you stand by what you said about Bill Belichick?
Yeah?
I mean, well, now, when I said it on the radio in Boston, I was laughing because knowing his personality and the way he treats people and knowing what I think is the most important thing for college head coaches that they're like polar opposites. Right, So the key for college football coaches. Head coaches, you're basically the CEO of a huge operation, and the two most important things you can do are to convince seventeen year olds and their parents that they should come play for you, and convince rich people that went to the school or a fan of the school to give you more money. That's the job, Dan, Like, that's the biggest part of the job. Elichick is definitely the best game planning schematic coach I was ever around. But you hear Brady's comments, Edelman's comments. You talk to anyone that's ever played, and I know people are gonna reply in the comments you only played two games, room do yeah? I know I only played two games. Who I was there for parts of two seasons. I know what he's like. I know his personality. It's one hundred percent negative reinforcement. The first thing they do at eight am team meeting is show the five worst place in the day before. No one I know or has spoken with him Dan can picture him being in a living room recruiting or talking to donors and trying to get money. Nobody can picture that. And maybe they can have success without that. Maybe he can hire some people that can do that part of it. I'll also say this, looking at the buyout, Dan, I firmly believe and and maybe I'll be wrong, and maybe we won't get a chance to see it. I firmly believe that as soon as he got an NFL opportunity or gets a NFL opportunity, I think you would leave the next day. I think you would leave the next day, even if the first. I think the initial buyouts ten million. If somebody decides in January that they want Belichick, I think he'd be gone certainly next year if someone gets fired. I think he'd much much rather be in the NFL.
Why is the buyout one million dollars?
Because he wanted it that way North Carolina.
But the optics are terrible.
It's a great point. It's a great point. Guess what. He doesn't care about the optics, just like I don't really believe he cares that much. Like it would be a bad look for him if the Jaguars offered him the job and in January he leaves UNC. I just don't think he cares that much. I think he'd say, listen, like I'm sorry, but I have a better opportunity, and you know I want to take this up. I don't I think he would care that much about what that means for North Carolina. On some level, I feel like North Carolina Dan is getting already what they wanted out of this. Everybody's talking about them. They were able to reel in the big fish. They're getting relevancy. North Carolina is already getting a lot of publicity and a lot of branding out of this.
I don't know.
Obviously they wouldn't be happy if he left, But I mean, does anybody really think he'll be there for three to five years? I don't unless no NFL team wants and then maybe he'll stay. Because I'll give him credit for this. I never thought he would do this. He must really love coaching football. I personally thought he wanted to continue to coach in the NFL. To break down schools record the two huge positives about Bill unbelievable schematically and game planning, and he clearly really really loved it, because there's no other explanation for him to take this North Carolina job.
He's Ross Tucker, CBS Sports Westwood One, NFL college football analyst and host of Ross Tucker Football podcast. The NFL MVP race is.
Just about over. Yeah, I mean it's Josh Allen.
It's over.
The guy is unbelievable. Now, listen, there's three games left. That's a decent size of games. But what he's just done, especially against the Chiefs and the Lions, two games that everybody was watching, and even in a losing effort against the Rams, that was another game everybody watched, and he was ridiculous in it. You know, I don't like to get too prone to hyperbole, right, I can't, off the top of my head think of a quarterback who I thought had a higher upside, meaning when they're playing their best. I'm not sure. Now. We know Josh has had turnover issues. You know, he's been inconsistent times in his career. But when he's at his best, like he is right now, who's better than him? Ever? He's six y five two hundred and forty five pounds. He can run with power and speed, maybe better than any quarterback we've seen. He has the strongest arm in the NFL. He's very smart. You look around at their skill guys. They're putting up forty some points. None of those guys are going in to the Pro Bowl this year. I mean maybe James Cook, but they're not. He's not throwing the ball to like a star receiver tandem like some of the other teams have. The guy is unbelievable. I think he's got the highest upside of any quarterback I've ever seen in my life. For when he's playing his best. I don't think anybody can top that.
How concern should the Lions be.
Very and listen. You know I'm from Pennsylvani. I do the Eagles preseason games. I have no ties or allegiance to the Lions. It makes me very very sad, very sad. This was supposed to be their year. Now Dan Campbell says it might be season enders for Alie McNeil, their best defensive lineman, their last defensive lineman standing, and Carlton Davis, who's probably their best corner. I don't know, I've ever seen anything like this. They've lost what seven starters on defense, and it's it's a darn shame, Dan, It really I I wanted to see I wanted them to see this through, and I wanted to see what they could accomplish this year. Now they'll get some guys back. Angeloni will be back, so we'll see who they can get back for the playoffs. But it really really stinks. We know that. You know, this is why I laugh when people say injuries are no excuse. Really, okay, so maybe injuries are no excuse, but they might be the reason. I mean, you watch the games, right, you see what the Lions defense was when they had Hutchinson and all their starters. Now you watch what it is when they've lost all these guys at some point. If it's not an excuse, it's darn shore the reason why their defense stinks.
Now, I know that you were doing your game when the UH Eagles and the Steelers were playing, but I watched it. Oh you did while you were doing your no no, no, Not while I was doing it, but after I got back to the hotel before the Red Eye.
I watched it because I watch every Eagles snap because I talk about him so much during the week.
Okay, uh anything jump out at you with that performance?
Yeah, I mean I think you know. I do my power rankings on the Rossucker podcast on Tuesday. I'm going to have them number one. I think they're pretty clearly the most talented roster in the NFL. I think they're the best team right now in the NFL. You know the thing I said on social media, this thing I do for the UH for Eagles fans, I hope they appreciate the offensive line, that that is not normal what they're doing. Then their last drive was ten and a half minutes. Yeah, ten and a half minutes. The Steelers had two possessions and eleven plays in the second half. Never heard of that in my life. They haven't given up more than thirteen points the defense, and there was a fumble return against the Jags. The defense has not given up more than twenty points since the buye. It's statistically the best defense since the buye, which was Week five. Their receivers are absurd. We saw that with Devonte Smith and A J. Brown yesterday. You know about Saquan the only real question mark is Hurts. When he plays at that level like he did yesterday, good luck, right, Like, to beat them, you're gonna have to force Hurts to beat you, and he's gonna have to have a bad game. It's like, you know, force the other team to shoot threes or whatever in hoops and they have an off night and they're missing him. That's your only shot right now against the Eagles. Stop the run, force Hurts to make plays in in the passing game, hope that he has a bad game and you win.
Safe travels. Thanks for joining us.
Thank you always, Dan, Thanks for having me.
Ross Tucker host of the Ross Tucker Football Podcast. And he'll be on the call Thursday night Broncos and the Chargers. That'll be Westwood One.
Take a break. When we come back, we'll give you our best and worst of the weekend.
Be sure to catch the live edition of The Dan Patrick Show weekdays at nine am Eastern six am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
A couple of phone calls in here before we give you our best and worst of the weekend. Mike in New Jersey. Mike, thanks for holding. What do you have for us today?
All right?
This is right up Marvin's wheelhouse. Okay, the worst of the weekend. I watched the U Carr game Saturday night, and I'm a Jersey guy and I get the whole thing. But coach Hurley with his antics on the four side making dimples on the refinol, I don't know. I think it's a little bit much. And the other part best of the weekend. I want to nominate them for most badass and put more helmets of all time. Maybe football with the Jolly Roger thought.
It was pretty good, But the Lions helmets yesterday were awesome.
They were awesome.
I like the uniform tweaks with Army and Navy. Gary Danielson was on the call. He'll join us in a half hour from now. Dustin in Alabama. Hi, Dustin, what's on your mind?
Yeah, thanks giving a call this morning. Dan, It's probably the fifty sixth time you give me a ring. But first, how long today?
Sad here hits fifteen handicaps, quick T shirt idea and then the best and worst T shirt idea. NFC South will rise again.
Put some logos and stuff on that. I know you got all these regular callers Jeff and Detroit, out Atlanta, James of Virginia, So i'd like to know if y'all might be in in or out out on me being your regular Saints Flash Bama caller from South Alabama. And best of the weekend Saints losing it at home and continue in our street to march towards a top ten draft pick. Worse of the weekend Saints losing at home and scoring to not cover the spread.
All right, thank you, Dustin. You have to earn it. We just don't hand out titles. You know you want to give us a Spencer Rattler update occasionally.
That'll be fine.
Let's go round the room. Best and worst of the weekend, Todd, I'm going to start with you.
Best of the weekend Travis Hunter's emotional speech Saturday night at the Heisman presentation and how grateful he was to.
Family, friends, coaches, and teammates. I was moved by that.
I like that.
Worst of the weekend Marshall bowing out of the Radiance Technologies Independence Ball against Army because.
Several of their players entered the transperportally after this? Who made a coaching change?
The Thundering Herd has been replaced with the Luisiana Tech Bulldogs.
Now I think it.
There were twenty five players that are transferring, I think following their coach. Wow Seaton Best and worst of the weekend.
I'm gonna go two bests because I'm a positive person. My one best is Mike Evans looking like the Mike Evans of old. How about that too, touchdown one hundred and fifty nine yards vintage performance. Some might say, all right, well done, Lett. My other best is another Mike, Mike McCarthy. I'm pretty sure he's saving his job right now, and if I don't know if he was in danger of losing it, but he's winning his way right back into being the coach next year.
If you're a Dallas Cowboy fan, is that what you want?
I don't know, but Mike McCarthy sure does I think.
Troy Aikman said this a couple of weeks ago.
He thought that Mike McCarthy was going to be back Marvin best and worst of the weekend.
All right, I'm gonna go to go with my uk Huskies. A. We want the Yukon Huskies. We're undefeated in the continental United States. They haven't lost the game in the real United States. Worse than the weekend. The Seahawks uniforms, Oh my goodness, the lime green horrendous as opposed to the all white for the Packers. That was chef's kiss.
Yeah, the lime green m.
Not good.
Good Paulie best and worst.
Two best the FCS College football playoffs, they're all in the playing state stand South Dakota State, North Dakota State, South Dakota and Montana State are your final four. It's a hot bet of football. And then the other best of the weekend would be Navy quarterback Blake Horvath two touchdowns passing two hundred and four yards rushing, took care of army. Great job by him.
He and they started out playing really well. He got banged up earlier in the season, but that was fun. It's always fun to watch that game Paul in Colorado, Hey Paul, what's on your mind?
Good morning, my green Chili brothers. Greetings from Colorful, Colorado.
You got me, No, I got you.
I'm sorry I lost you. So the best of the weekend. It's always the privilege to listen to Dave Logan and Rick Fox. Uh, they're five hundred game.
A win and.
Got a shout out to the voice of the Broncos and the Voice of Colorado Buffalo's they're one anniversary ko A fifty.
Well, thank you, Thank you Paul for shouting out KOA.
Dave Logan, that's going to be yours. It was yeah, not anymore? Uh. Griffin and Cincinnati, Hi Griff, welcome back.
Hey Dan, got a best and worst of the weekend? Best begleis. Get the win so I can to keep my playoff hopes alive for at least another week. That's something I wasn't expecting a few weeks ago. It was ugly, but I'll take it. My worst of the weekend is the future of Zach Taylor and Joe Burrow in their partnership. I'm sure you saw the video of Joe on the bench and Zack kneeling down talking to him, and there may have been some expletives views possibly between Joe and them. Their relationship has always been a little weird to me, Dan, I think that Zach Taylor is very positive the fault when Joe Burrow is trying to hold himself from the team accountable. A little differently, the Bengals cannot let Mike Brabill lead the state of Ohio, Dan, They just can't. I don't think that they can let it happen. Mike Brown's got to send an uber black up to Cleveland because he's too cheap to buy a private plane to fly him down and have him drive down from Cleveland to get here. Or possibly you always got to go back to go forward, just like Mike McConaughey. He says, maybe Marvin Lewis is the answered.
Marvin did a good job there. It felt like, hey, we found somebody who wants to actually coach the Bengals. We'll keep him in there even if they don't win a playoff game. Yes, yes, Smart, wasn't he there for like seventeen years. He's there a long time.
It was like second longest ten year long time Belichick.
Joe Burrow is on pace to be the second quarterback in the last fifty years to lead the NFL in passing yards and passing touchdowns while playing for a losing team. Start the day, I didn't give you who the first one was. It happened in twenty twelve, led in passing yards passing touchdowns on a losing team.
Paul Matt Stafford. No good guess though, Todd, I don't know. Did I did? I?
No?
I just I just don't know.
I don't want to give a.
What's the question?
Yes?
Something?
What's the question?
It was with the twenty twelve quarterback. But I just I'm not good at the trivia thing. I want to just say it. I don't want to say it.
Do you know? Just say you didn't hear it?
Oh?
I did hear it.
I missed one little part of it.
Well, it was the big part of give me the stat back.
Normally would raise my hand if I had to look at answer.
No, we were going around the room.
Okay, do you do you know what it is?
It was a twenty twelve quarterback related step.
And what did they do?
They accomplished something?
Okay, but you have to say because I feel bad because I'm like if I'm I'm just for a second, I zone out because I'm like, I'm not.
I don't think I have an answer to this, So then I.
Just just say I didn't hear it?
Can you for to raise my head?
If I think I have a good guess, as opposed to go.
Do you have an answer? Matthew Stafford? No, I was gonna say Matthew's step damn it.
Drew Brees in twenty twelve, Wow, nobody cared.
I I just don't have an answer.
Recuse myself.
I don't, I don't.
I don't like doing trivia, Yes, Todd, I.
Didn't rake my head.
Yeah, I know, I'm not.
I can't speak verybo it, but I'd prefer when we do trivia, like, if you think you have an answer, you raise your hand, as opposed to say you name, as ridiculous of it might sound.
Thing any you didn't even know what the tribun question was.
Say a quarterbacks name from twenty twelve.
The name you're Bruce?
Final out, Kay, you got it was Bruce?
Hear him? Did? The answer was Brie
