Dan couldn’t be more impressed with Atlanta Falcons QB Kirk Cousins who passed for a career high, 509 yards last night. And he talks about the incredible moments from last night’s NL Wildcard series win for the New York Mets.
You are listening to the Dan Patrick Show on Fox Sports Radio.
Oh, it's a good kind of tired. It's an October tired. I was fun last night. I'm exhausted. But it's a Friday. It's a meat Friday.
At that.
Come on, let's go on, let's go, let's go, get up, Yes, ready to go. Fritzy's here, the Minister of humor seating still out and hopefully back on Monday. Marvin is here, Pauline yours truly, and the brg's. It is a meet Friday. Here's the problem. Nobody sent me the menu for meat Friday. I have no idea what we're cooking today. Tyler's responsibility is to cook said menu. But I don't have a menu here, so I can't even say who has it better than we do?
Somebody?
Yeah, but I don't have that, although I do see that Tyler did make a mistake and not send it to me here. It is white bean chicken chili. Oh, that's the number one seed for him and Brot's Brots. Who has it better.
Than we do? No body?
Now, this is not in relationship to Charlie x c X because she had brat, But these are Brots. If you guys are familiar with Charlie XCX, the singer she had Bratt, it was a big deal.
Okay, I think you were for it.
Well, you guys aren't aware of Charlie xc X.
Marvit supposed to be the younger guy.
I do know who that is. I didn't know anything about Brats, though I know one of her song it's Bratt. Oh, it's like a singular. You're you're labeled to Brett. Google it.
There was a rapper years ago named the Bratt. Not the same person. No, okay, No, not the Brat because that would have had a great rap.
For No, okay. Stat of the Man brought to you by Panini America. The official tree cards of this program. This first hour're brought to you by Hey Nice Buns, King's Hawaiian. They want you to get together with family and friends and enjoy the weekend. Make every Sunday a Slider Sunday, Play of the Day, stat of the Day, poll question, all of that coming up on this Meet Friday. Sean Casey works for MLB Network, former All Star. He'll join us coming up a little bit. And Kirk Dee Cousins mister Prime time is going to join us as well after his record breaking performance last night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Now, Todd, did you call for Kirk Cousins or did Kirk Cousins call for us?
In all honesty, we were initially looking at Bijon Robinson because Kirk Cousins was on the show recently and I used to spread some love if the Falcons were gonna have a good game. But after what happened last night, we followed up and changed that request. Maybe catch up with Bijon another time and offer Kirk another a pair to a five.
Hundred yards passing.
Okay, it's a long winded way of saying you reached out to the Falcon.
We had a late night chat about having Kirk come back after that kick.
Well, this is how it sounded on ninety two to nine the game the Falcons Radio Network.
Here's Mooney in motion with Cousins and they're gonna gun it and it's caught to Daryl Hodgs thirty five than.
Baby fifteen five home safely.
Oh my goodness, sucking to the game to Darryl. Are you serious?
I'll walk off fork?
Darryl Hodge and the Falcons forty five yards, Kirk Cousins hit him ride in the scene.
Cousins ends up with five hundred and nine yards, passing four touchdowns as the Falcons rally to beat the Buccaneers. Now, prior to that, if you were watching the Mets and the Brewers, and it sounded like this Oka swam in the ball.
Triddle, great credle Karee.
Mcbat at the water here it's out here a.
Love zode, this Si Felt run and the Mets happy lead.
Heat the lots on. The Polar Bear.
Takes Devin Hagims jeep at a year in the night, the comeback Kids of time on.
Kid And I'm watching the game, and you could see the Brewers fans were up on their feet, almost like a ceremonial. Alrighty, we're applauding because we're moving on. We're going into the next threat. Here's the great Bob Buker after the loss.
Well, New York down May did it and the crew, well we'll have it in here tonight.
Really a crushing end to what was a fabulous season for the Milwaukee Brewers.
And I'm telling you that one had some sting on it.
So Bob Buker WTMJ Full disclosure. I was nearly sending a message, a congratulatory message to Bob Buker.
Nearly, and I thought, no, no, you can't do that.
You can't do that till the final out, and I was just going to say, hey, congrats, I hope to have you on the show.
Good luck next round. And I didn't send it.
Sh that would have haunted you.
That would have been bad. I mean it's bad enough, but that would have been announcer jinks to another announcer who's announcing the game, and then Pete Alonzo goes yard.
It's fun.
I love these opening series. I thought they were wonderful. There was tension, excitement.
You want that. You want drama. It's all about October.
Baseball is about October, and you want that and you got it with a lot of these series and some surprises as well.
Now we move on to the next round once again.
It's a good kind of tire, all right, poll question today, Todd, I see you sent me about seven of them so far.
We have a number of them where we were going to roll out with for Hour one, a Paulie special who had a better night? Pete Alonzo of the Mets, Kirk Cousins of the Falcons or the field. Is this someone that somehow had a better night than Alonzo or a Cousins.
Well, I think it should just be those two. I don't think anybody else is up there on that level. I would say Alonso because it's the postseason and it moves you to the next round.
It's New York.
They'll talk about this for the rest of his life, rest of his career. He's said to be a free agent. That could have been his final at bat if he made an out or they didn't advance. So I would say Pete Alonso, that's where you go down in the history books. I mean, Kirk Cousins.
You know, it's weird.
I'm watching the game and I'm thinking Kirk Cousins has had to prove himself for probably fifteen years, sixteen years. If I go back to college, it feels like every game, every year we go. I don't know when he was at Michigan State and he put up really good numbers, but he was overshadowed in the Big Ten. And then he gets drafted in the fourth round by Washington and they take RG three, and then all of a sudden he gets his opportunity, gets franchise tagged a couple of times, then he gets the first guaranteed contract, everything guaranteed. He goes, you know, to Minnesota. They almost then he like he's always proving himself. It's weird that I think he's going to end his career and we're still not going to be too sure how to define his career.
But I call him He's mister primetime. Now.
Yeah, he did it when he needed to do it, throws for five hundred yards. But I can't think of somebody else who has to prove themselves. Now, Baker Mayfield could get into that category the rest of his career where you're going, hey, okay, all right, but he was the number one overall draft pick Kirk Cousins with a fourth round draft pick. But it feels like he has to prove himself every year. Yes, John, what do you.
Consider throwing a lot for a quarterback in the game? What would be your magic number of Like, WHOA, that's a lot of passes.
I would say upwards of forty.
Five fifty eight last night would be very high. Yes, he would touch because it's forty five fifty Check that. Check the math that's like.
Two away from sixty pass Yes, it is, you think about.
It, Yes, twelve away from seventy.
That's crazy, thinks a lot of passes already. When's the last time somebody threw seventy times in a game?
Has that happened?
Somebody at Hawaii or Texas Tech?
No? NFL? Like, did Graham Harrold throw for seventy pounces before Great Poll?
Yeah?
Timmy Jimmy Chick?
Sorry, yeah, do you think anyone's done it in the NFL?
Seventy? Yeah?
I think somebody did. I bled, So now I'm checking somebody. I think through seventy passes. I have not looked it up yet. Oh my guess is Neil Lomas Okay, I know why that's in my head when he was with Saint Louis.
Yeah, okay, in college, Neo Lomax at Portland State probably did. Yes, Marvin andre Ware well, no, that would have been in college. Or David Klingler at Houston Houston put the ball up a ton, Yes, Paul.
I have the answer. There's been I would say about forty instances fifty instances of someone having sixty or more attempts. There is one instance in NFL history of a quarterback attempting seventy passes.
I'm going to say Norm Van Brocklin.
No, but he is it in that era.
No, it's in the it's a retired guy, but he's played in the modern era.
Okay, retired guy seventy pounces well known.
Yes, very for multiple reasons. He's been on the show in the past calendar year. Steve Young, No, they wouldn't let him throw seventy times. Better let him play the first.
Uh?
Dan Marino Marino had.
Uh No, I don't even have Marino having sixty Okay, all right, Oh Marino had sixty twice. Okay, but not in the uppers. I'll give you some names that are above sixty five. Phil Rivers, Ben Roethlisberger, Brian Greasy, John Kittna through Brian Greasy, John Kitna current quarterbacks active Jared Goff had sixty eight attempts for the Rams a few years ago, and Mahomes had sixty eight for the Chiefs, second all time. Vinny Testaverdy sixty nine attempts for the Jets number one all time. Drew Bledsoe Patriots versus liking Oh that was your that was my guest.
Yes, after you probably saw the list.
I didn't cheat, but.
It feels like I did.
It feels like all mclovin. Hey, I'm going to say Drew bledsoe oh, you got it right.
I had have seen it somewhere.
Yeah, all right, eight seven seven three DP Show email address Dpadanpatrick dot com, Twitter handle at DP show.
Good morning.
If you're watching on Peacock, thank you for downloading the app. Are radio affiliates around the country as well. So we'll recap Thursday night football, the Mets and the Brewers, will look ahead to the matchups baseball this weekend. Some games coming up in the NFL. You got the Vikings in London favored by two and a half against the Jets. And you have two quarterbacks who are trying to solicit DeVante Adams to come and play with them, Aaron Rodgers and Derek Carr. And that will be interesting because Derek Carr former teammate you went to Vegas to play with him. You, of course spent most of your career playing with Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay. Which team does he want to go to, Which team does he think maybe has a better chance, Which team needs him the most? So we'll talk about that a little bit later on, and Kirk mister primetime cousins, will join us later on, as will Sean Casey, always animated analysts for MLB Todd Any other poll questions that you.
Have, We do have a few other ones.
Okay, you know what, let me get to Barry and Santa Fe.
Let's do that.
Barry and Santa Fe. Congratulations Barring, Good morning Jones, Good morning chap Bro.
To quote the great John Belushi in Animal House, nothing is over until we decide it is Braid dead dead. Peter Alonzo in a coma through moatst of the season in the clutch, comes through in what may have been his last at bats. Matt simply amazing.
All right, thank you Berry. Very dramatic, Very dramatic by Barry.
Yes, Tom, I.
Don't want to skew negative, but since I've known you, how.
Are you going to do that? It's a question that needs to be asked.
Pete Alonzo in the Lore of Mets history and everything, what if the Mets gets swept to win only one game in the NLDS against the Phillies. Where does this put the Pete Alonzo home run last night?
I don't know. He could be Andy Chavez or something. I do know is that who you were going to say, Marmos?
That catch was unbelievable.
Yes it was.
It's like a Jermaine curse. He's like on that level of that play was so great until something else happened.
But Pete Alonzo is kind of famous for not really doing anything other than winning home run derby, and he plays for the Mets.
Like.
He's had a couple of good his rookie season. What did he have fifty two home runs? Yeah, I mean he's had some moments there. But it's one of those where he came to the plate and I thought, oh, this has got double play written all over. It's going to be pop out to first baseman. And then when he hit it, I thought, man, he stung it. But when it's opposite field, it's it's really hard to gauge that because you got side spin on it and it looked like it was drifting and I go, oh my god. And then they had the carve out with the bullpen and just cleared it just enough. But I mean he got it, he went after it, and that's a good reliever too.
Man.
I mean, if you're a Brewers fan and you're just you're you're already thinking about the next round because you know, you stand and of course nothing bad is going to happen because we're cheering and we're going to close this out. You know, you're all of a sudden, you're going to uh do you know where we're parked? Okay, we got all the kids. Okay, all right, let's just stay for the oh no oh no, oh no. And it's too late in the game. Can't even order a beer?
How about that you allow it?
If you have that No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, yeah, yeah, beer sales should be cut off like after the sixth then.
A traumatic home run.
Yeah, I don't think you can go yes, yes, only only in case, Like you know, when you break the glass in case of emergency, it's like there's beers in there.
Break glass in case of emergency.
There. All right, let me take a break. We'll settle on our poll question. We'll get to your phone calls, and we're excited. Who has it better than we do? No, all right, we'll take a break back after this. Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio dot Com and within the iHeartRadio apps se FSR to listen live. Have our play of the day coming up. We'll settle on our pole question. I'm wondering if you said to the Falcons, hey, would you like to do the first round over again? Maybe not take Michael Pennix Junior the third and you took him eighth overall. Now, the reason why I bring this up, and I brought this up to the dan Nets during the game, the Falcons have no pass rush none. I think they got to Baker Mayfield one time. Now I'd be surprised he didn't throw more. They did try to run the ball and they did okay, but I would have been throwing an awful lot if I'm Baker Mayfield. From the standpoint of they're not getting to the passer. And I wondered about that. If you're looking at a bigger picture here, there's certain franchises where you go go all in whatever it takes, like Tampa Bay's on scholarship for a long time.
They went all in.
They won another Super Bowl with Tom Brady, and now the expectation level isn't Super Bowl or bus for Baker Mayfield, but get into the playoffs. If you're the Lions, you're all in. Jets, you got to be all in. There's certain franchises you have to be all in. The Browns be all in. But who are you going to get at the trade deadline? If the Falcons are all in?
What do you do?
Can you get Hassan Reddick? Can you get him from the Jets? Is Max Crosby going to be available?
Like?
You have to start thinking that way because it's not one of those where you go, well, we're good this year, wait till next year. Now they have a really good offense, they have a young offense except for Kirk, but you don't have that weapon on defense. And every one of these elite teams has that one guy, at least one guy, and that's the one thing missing from Atlanta. I don't think they've had a good pass rusher since John Abraham. How long has it been since John Abraham? But that's what I'm watching. I'm going, all right, you can score, but you're going into overtime like yes, you can score, and trying to outscore teams. I mean, just ask the Cowboys. You're going to try to outscore teams. The rest of the season. Good luck with that. And then you know DeVante Adams out there for the Jets. Do they get Hassan Reddick in Now at some point there's diminishing returns here, and then do you just say, all right, we made a mistake, an embarrassing mistake. Let's see if somebody else wants hass On Reddick and they'll pay him. All right, Todd, what's the pole question we're going to settle on.
We're going to start with who had a better night we took off the field because it comes down to Pete Alonzo and Kirk Cousins.
Basically, yeah, yeah, So the Mets eliminate the Brewers and the Falcons beat the Buccaneers in overtime. Caitlin Clark wins the Rookie of the Year. There was one vote for Kate, for Angel Reese, everybody else for Caitlyn Clark. This is what's happening is the voters are now putting out on social media, heyn't me, Hey wasn't me, Hey wasn't me. I don't know if somebody comes out and says, hey, I voted for Angel Reese, which it is your you know, that's your prerogative.
You can I mean, I've.
Voted not people criticize my votes, but I had no problem telling people. I mean, I was proud to be a voter in the NBA. And if you want to be critical of me, that's okay. I have, you know, my defense. There somebody thinks Angel Reese was the Rookie of the Year. Fine, maybe it's a writer who covered her team in Chicago. Okay, it's not the end of the world. Like, I don't know if Caitlin Clark's going to go. Can you believe I didn't go unanimous? Now, I thought we would have unanimous MVP and unanimous Rookie of the Year. You got that with Asia Wilson, but Caitlin Clark all but one. And I don't think it's going to ruin her summer. I don't, But it feels like all these voters are like, whatn't me?
What mean? What mean? Yes?
Pauline A couple of things. Typed in in Google search who voted? And before I finished the word voted, it said for Angel Reese. It finished my sentence. Didn't give me like Kamala Harris or Donald Trump for some political person. Secondly, if you're the person who voted for Angel Reese. Clearly you I would think that you're aware of what the reaction might be. Would you put your name out there?
Sure?
I don't think they have yet. I'm checking sure.
I mean, it's your vote. It's open to interpretation.
They don't give you guidelines here and say, hey, check off, you know, check this box that box.
If you really feel like Angel Reese was the Rookie of the Year, then just own it. I don't care.
I don't think Caitlin Clark's going to care. In ten years from now, do we go, Yeah, but she wouldn't a unanimous Rookie of the Year. I don't think we're going to care. I think that'll be the least of the awards that she wins that we'll be talking about. Yes, Marvin, if it was Shack, he's still be mad.
He is still mad.
You're mad about that Alan Iverson vote in two thousand and my.
Good buddy, the late Fred Hickman Freddie made that choice. Shack still upset about it should have been unanimous. Yes, tun if you make.
That vote public, is there a part of you with public perception or you're just trying to be different than you know you're looking for some kind of attention. I'm going to be the outlier. Everyone's going to vote one way, but I'm going to be the one that people are talking about because I voted a different way.
Well, if you want to be the outlawer, then come out and say, hey, I mean you want attention, here's your chance. So if we're going to follow what your laying down, then they should be coming out and saying, yeah, I voted for Angel Reyes. And if they don't, they might just say, look, I voted, and you know, this is who I thought should be Rookie of the Year. I don't agree with it. I thought she would be unanimous. I mean it's not even close because I said the most important person in the league is Caitlin Clark and should be a top five. If not, it should have been a top three MVP candidate. But I'm talking about value and value. We can all have a different opinion on that. Her value on the floor, in the arena, in the league, all of that, there's nobody more valuable.
Now.
Asia Wilson was a more dominating player and deserved to be the MVP and unanimous. So don't get it tangled Caitlin Clark's the most valuable, most important person in the WNBA this year and should have been unanimous Rookie of the Year. It's not the end of the world. Buddha in San Francisco. Good to have you back, Buddha. What's on your mind?
No buddy, Happy to meet Friday boys. Shout out to sedon DP, you like that, I mean Kirk d Cousins, mister Patagonia and Matt Ryan yet another loss of beating his single game passing record on Matt Ryan Knight, I mean Kirk Cousins is him right now? And DP just real quick to see the Astros go down to their old cheating manager was poetic justice. That made my soul smile watching them get knocked out. And Dodgers and the Padres about the tango that is going to have some tension and should provide some awesome drama. And I'm working on linking up with gust In la Just trying to free up some time from the restaurant, but looking forward to having some playoff beers at Chavis, Ravine and Dan. Lastly, Fritzy is by far the most fascinating Dennett. I mean, we should consider a thirty thirty on him the whole not knowing how to use a broom, scissors talk. Yesterday I was rolling and had me thinking just not.
Good, Thank you Buddha. The number of people who say, is Fritzy really like that? And then I have to say yes, and they go seriously, I go yes. He had never used a broom before until a couple of years ago. He didn't know how to use a can opener. A couple of years ago.
He didn't know how to cut the cake. So we're thinking of a combine where we just have Fritzy do like chores around the house.
If you don't do something well, because I mean you don't know how to do it, it's just maybe a unique way of doing it or a more complicated.
Well away you had never done it. That's probably why you weren't very good.
Like the cake. I know, I kind of cut through the box and made a whole mesa.
Where's the last time you did laundry?
That would be probably, I'd say a good year ago.
I would say, I don't think so.
How long you been married?
I've been met early twenty five years coming up in a few weeks.
Twenty five years in one week.
Yeah, there's no way you've done laundry.
Well, I think she went on some trips, so I kind of had to.
I doubt it. You have more junk in your closet and you do not need to do laundry.
I had a call and say, so, what's with the whites and the colors and cold to washing itt or warm water?
Which one do you pour into the thing?
Andrew in Washington? Hi Andrew, welcome back, Good morning Dan.
Then it's happy meet Friday. Hope seating us back on Monday.
Yeah?
Dan, who wouldn't want to talk to a therapist like Fritzy? So anyways, Hey, last night kirkd Cousins again primetime. Kirk up there with over five hundred yards passing. So it got me thinking, you guys looked at how many passing attempts were the record in the game. I wanted to see if anybody in the room knew which quarterback had the most five hundred yard passing games in their career.
That's my question of the day, most five hundred yards?
Anybody want to take a guess there? Paul Moon, I was, you know, that was my guess.
That's for a lot of eyes.
That guy I was thinking of Warren Moon, Paulie, Matthew staffordd be my guest. Okay, did either one of those right, Andrew?
No, I'll give you a clue.
Pittsburgh Steelers, So Ben Roethlisberger. Ben Roethlisberger is the only QB in history with three five hundred yard passing games in the regular season.
Stat of the Day of the day, that past stat of the Day's stat of the day here comes that what stat of the Day? Brought to you by Panini America, the official trading cards of the program. Ben threw for five oh six back in twenty seventeen. That was a Sunday night game. That's the last time we had a five hundred yard passing performance in primetime. Joe Burrow threw for five hundred that was twenty twenty one. And then it's Matt Ryan, Knight and Kirk d. Cousins breaks the franchise record previously held by Matt Ryan of five hundred and three passing yard.
Whoa stead of the day?
Stat of a day?
Stanata Day, Santa Day.
This is the stat of the day. Andy and Buffalo, Hi Andy, what's on your mind today?
Hey Dan?
Thanks for taking my call. Ye, I had a quick comment about the Mets, and then a stat of the day of my own if you got time. So I was born in nineteen ninety one, and I think last night was hands down the best Mets victory of my life. My dad told me all about the nineteen eighty six team, obviously, and the one thing he said is they were never out of it. They're never out of it in nineteen eighty six and this team has that same steal. It just feels like with Lindor at the top of the lineup, they can win any game at any time. And then a quick stat of the day if you don't mind. Pete Awondo's three run home run last night. He became the first major league player in an elimination game to hit a go ahead home run in the ninth inning or later with his team trailing.
Statu the Day, STATU the Day, stat of the day, Start of the day, stat of the day, startup day, start of the day, startup dude.
Alonzo's homer is the second lead flipping home run in the ninth inning of a playoff game in Mets history.
Now, did he say a three run homer or was it just a home run?
Because Lenny Dykstra hit a two run homer in the bottom of the ninth, and I was at this game beating the Astros Game three of the NLCS. I think he might have said a three run homer, but I remember Nails ended up hitting a two run homer. What was that eighty six?
I think that was of Dave Smith, that dexter home run.
OH reliever, Dave Smith. Dave Smith was his number forty five time.
I think you might be right about that. That sounds to me you're just guessing.
Yes, Marvin, Are the eighty six Mets like the eighty five Bears? Yes, where it's like, how come they didn't win more?
Yes?
Okay, yes, because that team was loaded. If you would have said to me in nineteen eighty six, do you know that Strawberry or Gooden neither's going into the Hall of Fame, I would have said, no, No, they're both going in the Hall of Fame. They didn't even get close. It was Darryl Strawberry was the next Ted Williams, Dwight Gooden was Nolan Ryan. But in New York everything gets blown up, inflated, and that team had so much talent. But you know, the Giants back then in the mid eighties when they won the Super Bowl. The Bears were a one and donner and never should have been. They should have had a couple. I mean, that defense, that was enough, but to only win one. That's what's amazing about the chief Yefs. They've been able to do it with interchangeable parts. And here you had the Bears still had a great team. The Giants still had a great team, and they only won one, and they should have had a dynasty.
It's weird. It feels like the Bears were a dynasty, but they weren't. They won one.
The Giants that defense and Bill Parcells, Bill Belichick defensive coordinator.
They won one.
Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills go to four consecutive Super Bowls and lose all four bear Bums. These guys they went one and done their heroes.
Yes, Pauline Dave Smith was forty five for the Astros.
There you go, Ton.
By the way, Dwight Gooden's first two years in baseball as a rookie, of course, won Rookie of the Year. He finished second for the cy Young as a rookie. He won it the next year with one of the best seasons in baseball A history twenty four and four, one point five to three ERA two hundred sixty two and sixty eight strikeouts. He was twenty years old.
It was it was magic.
It was magic because now I didn't go to games if I wasn't working, like you had to take a break occasionally. I went to see Dwight Gooden pitch twice on my days off because I wanted I just wanted to watch it and not have to cover it. And it was he only had two pitches. It didn't matter.
And strong.
Yeah, I mean he had that home run swing. I mean he was six ' five, he was, they were they were going into Cooperstown the same time.
Yes time he had this gentle flick of the wristra bird and the ballicle flying off his back.
It looked like he barely swung out.
Yep, you're right, uh Oscar in Tennessee, Hi, Oscar, what's on your mind? Hey Dan, good morning, Good morning.
I was watching a documentary yesterday from Prime about Kobe Bryant's k one point game, and it got me to thinking, that's more impressive Kobe Bryant's eighty one point game, or share hill with Tani's I live in a running game. When he went fifty six, well.
It's kind of apples and oranges there. Kobe putting up eighty one.
I mean, when you blow past seventy and it was a close games, That's what people forget is he had to stay in against Toronto. I guess I'm kind of numb to the home runs, and maybe I wasn't surprised that the Otani had a magical I guess the timing of it to go fifty to fifty that part of it. But I mean, Kobe, everybody knew that they could have pitched around Otani. They chose not to. There was nothing they could do with Kobe. They're double teaming. It didn't matter.
It did not.
They should have put four guys on him and then taking their chances. But with Otani they could have taken him out of the game that they chose to. Toronto couldn't take Kobe out of the game, Yes.
And they should have. I've got the box score from Kobe's eighty one point game. The other guys on the floor helping him out were Lamar Odom who was won for seven, Chris Mim who had twelve, Kwame Brown who had three and Smush Parker who had thirteen. Yeah, he had eighty one with no help.
I know because you can even look at the eighty one or his final game the what was that against Dallas Utah? Oh ute, oh, okay Utah.
I should remember that.
If I can remember Dave Smith's number, I should remember Kobe's last game.
I'm slipping. Maybe it's time to retire.
I've got the box score from Kobe's last game against Utah. They won again. It was a close one one oh one ninety six. That game seems like a.
Fable, But that's when Mike Tree and Hubie Brown talked about pregame that you know, is Kobe gonna get maybe twenty five or thirty. And then you realize that Kobayashi is coming out and he's he's gonna go from wall to wall, wire to wire, gonna play Harden And he did.
He did, all right, take a break. Play the Day up next.

How about a classic acc matchup of Miami flying out to Cal at ten thirty pm in eastern on.
The ESPN cal, I might I might take coll uniforms, I might might take call in that situation. Yesterday in the afternoon, I was looking for something to watch and I went back to the Mister McMahon documentary on Vince McMahon. It's tough to get through it. Brilliant businessman, but what a creepy guy. There was one storyline that they rejected that I I think it would have been that he impregnates his daughter, and I went, we have run out of storylines. But just I mean in the mid eighties when Hulk exploded and then all of a sudden, they kicked Hulk to the curb because you know, people had gotten tired of him, and then they brought in I don't know who was the uh ultimate Warrior, but I guess he was difficult to deal with. I mean, Hulk was great at you know selling, maybe great great Andre the Giant, you know when they fought that fact, they had to convince Andre the Giant to get back surgery to face Hulk, and they had faced each other many many times, but they created it like it was a super Bowl of these two going against each other, like it's never happened, and you know, you're filling up the Silver Dome. They kept saying it was ninety three thousand, and then they go, you know, actual attendance probably seventy seventy eight thousand, which is still incredible. But they're not even including all the stuff that's happened recently with mister McMahon. This is prior to that that they did in this documentary. But man, were they doing a lot of different things. I mean you could tell Vince really wants to be a star, like he's singing and dancing, and I mean he really really wanted to be a star. He wanted to be a pro wrestler, and he wanted to be you know, the businessman as well.
Yes, Pauline, did you I haven't watched this documentary yet. Did you find that Vince McMahon was a I mean, clearly a character when he was on WW all the different shows, But did it bleed into the personal life and the order.
Well, I don't think he was a character.
So that's him a lot.
I thought it was him. Okay, Marvin, you watched it.
Yeah, I definitely think it was. It was him to a t basically, and he was about business. You've seen, like obviously we've seen it, all those difficult dealings that he had. He brought people back because he said it was good for business. Yeah, and that dude was loyal to one thing and that is the business. He got into it with family, well.
I think at one point the crowd was chanting slut at his daughter and he was fine with it because it was creating a storyline or they were engaged in it. I think there was the I got a family, but I'm running a business, and how do I incorporate my family in this? Good or bad?
Yes, Yes, there's that one clip that I've watched probably a hundred times. Vincick Man comes out of nowhere in a suit and tie and charges into the ring and as he jumps in, he pops both of his quads and he's trying to get up, and he physically cannot get up, but he's trying to stay with the bit, and all the other wrestlers are a little bit confused and trying not to show must go on. I would love to know how that's covered in this documentary.
Well, there's a lot of things that would have been better if the documentary was being filmed now, because there's a lot of things that he'd have to well, he wouldn't allow it to happen, but there'd be a lot of things that he would have to answer to. All Right, update the poll results if you can todd from our one who.
