A former Sierra Vista’s resident recently earned a special title. Laura Diekema participated in her first beauty pageant and was crowned Ms. Nevada. Diekema competed against four other contestants. She said she hopes her win will inspire others.

Also, Bentley Rojas is being recognized as Cochise County’s first 2022 baby. The son of Daisy and Zeke Rojas of Douglas, Bentley weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and measured 20.5 inches.
