This week, the NSW Government introduced legislation to remove the use of ‘good character’ references during criminal sentencing. If passed, it would make NSW the first state in Australia to do so. In today’s podcast, we’ll walk through the years-long campaigning that’s led to this reform… that advocates are calling “one of the most monumental shifts in how the courts approach sentencing.”
