On Saturday night, U.S. President Donald Trump was hosting an annual black-tie dinner at the Washington Hilton Hotel for the country’s top journalists and government officials, when the sounds of shots rang out. 

We now know there was a man with a gun sprinting towards the ballroom, but he never made it inside before he was tackled by security guards. 

It marked yet another assassination attempt on Donald Trump’s life.
