In Philadelphia, barber Brennon Jones gave up a steady job to launch “Haircuts 4 Homeless,” offering free haircuts (and often food, toiletries, clothing) on a median at Broad and Walnut Streets. His act of service became so recognized that another barber donated a full shop for him to expand the mission. He now dedicates space and time specifically to serve homeless individuals, building dignity through a simple haircut and conversation.
