Thousands of Denver-area King Soopers workers began walking off their jobs at 5 o’clock in the morning yesterday. The three-week strike over hourly wages is affecting 77 stores from Boulder to Parker. Workers at an additional 10 stores in Colorado Springs are expected to join the strike at a later date. The strike comes after the workers’ union rejected the grocery chain’s final offer on Tuesday night.
