Today - Colorado's 2025 legislative session is underway and our politics team is hard at work chasing down what lawmakers will be doing at the Capitol this year. While they're getting acclimated, we're revisiting the conversation Jesse and Brian recorded in November about the big budget deficit facing the state.

The budget will be one of the biggest issues at the General Assembly in the coming months. And while the deficit may have shrunk slightly since November when their conversation first aired, big cuts are still needed.
