It’s no secret that Colorado residents fancy themselves good stewards of the environment — but it turns out we’re pretty horrible at recycling. Our 15% recycling rate in Colorado is abysmal. There is, however, a new effort at the state capital to try to make a dent in correcting this. Colorado sun reporters Chris Outcalt and Michael Booth talk about the framework for a new, interesting recycling program kicking around the state legislature and whether or not the proposal actually has a chance to pass this year.
