About 2,000 wild horses have been captured and removed from Colorado since last summer — including horses rounded up in the latest wild horse gather in Colorado. That gather, which trapped 864 stallions, mares and foals, was the largest in the state’s history and drew sharp criticism from animal advocates, including Gov. Jared Polis and First Gentleman Marlon Reis.
