The Christmas Gift is a community supported organization that helps make holiday dreams come true through giving during the holiday season. In the first gift of 2025, families who were devastated after a tragic storm ravaged a North Dakota town are granted a $5,000 gift.

Thursday, December 19, 2024 - Jenn, with a broken heart, reaches out for help during the holidays. She had a stroke in 2018 and now, recently, a heart attack.

Wednesday, December 11, 2024 - Rachel is a single Mom of 5... between online school, working and looking for a second job, she's fallen behind... times have been tough. 

Tuesday, December 10, 2024 - "Michael is the best big brother... and he's also the Dad of 5 kids... last summer Michael was hit very hard with mental health struggles..." 

Monday, Dec. 9th - After two life saving surgeries, Kristin needed a little help during the holiday season. 

Friday, Dec. 6th - Tracy is a single mom who has been working 3 jobs... and we were happy to provide her a little help during the holiday season. 

Thursday, Dec. 5th - "We are a family of 4... and starting over has been tough... and the physical strain of my recovery from surgery has been hard..." ... Currie and family are the 4th recipients of a Christmas gift this holiday season. 

Wednesday, December 4th - John's son Jaeger was diagnosed with cancer in 2020... their family is the third recipient of a Christmas gift this holiday season. 

Tuesday, December 3rd - "The Father of my child tried to end my life in May..." Maya is the second Christmas gift of the holiday season. 

Monday, Dec. 2nd - The First Christmas Gift of the season is "The Keith McDougall Award". The 2024 is Diamond Williams. She was attacked in February - and was one of 3 victims that day. 

Lilly's mom is back in college trying to finish up her criminal justice degree. She has raised four children. She also likes to help the homeless. 

Bruce slipped on the ice and suffered a severe brain injury. After five hours of surgery, the doctors were unable to save him. 

Judy is a single mother who was abandoned by her boyfriend. She is struggling to make ends meet. 

Haylie is the mother of 6 kids under the age of 7. Things have been tight for the past few years. 

Bella is a little girl with a vascular malformation. Her family is making regular trips to the Mayo Clinic for wound care and skin grafting. 

Britni and her 6 year old daughter have gone through some tough times. They survived homelessness and even had to sleep in the car for a few nights. 

Kevin is a single father who ended an abusive relationship. He has an 11 year old son and they were homeless for a while. 

Abby is a single mom and needs surgery. She's been sick and going back and forth to the Mayo clinic. 

Sarah had to make the decision to take her sister off life support. Afterwards, she took in her sister's three teenage children. 

Aimee is a single mother with a 13 month old daughter. She is going back to school in January and money is tight this Christmas season. 

Kristy is a single mom living on disability. She is fighting Stage 4 cancer. She has 3 kids, 1 with special needs, and she drives from Lisbon, ND each week to Fargo for radiation and chemotherapy treatments. 

Dylan was diagnosed with leukemia in February and went through 8 rounds of chemotherapy. He now takes a daily oral chemotherapy pill. His family moved closer to the Roger Maris Cancer Center for his treatment. 

Isabella is a 3 year old girl fighting cancer. She just finished her radiation and will be having weekly chemo treatments until next March. Mom, Savannah, just gave birth to a baby boy. 

Kaedin was born on October 12th with a hole in his abdominal wall, and his intestines were outside his body. The recovery is a long process before they will be able to close up the wound and Kaedin will be able to go home. 

Willow was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in February and the family had to go down to one salary. Her 3 year old daughter was diagnosed with autism. Mom passed away in July. Her 16 year old son got a part time job to help out with the groceries. 

The first Christmas Gift of the Holiday Season is "The Keith McDougall Award", we endeavor to make the first gift one that has touched our community. The Fargo Police officers involved in the July 14, 2023 shooting in Fargo have been named recipients of the first Christmas Gift of 2023. 

Fedelia, who was a caregiver to her husband, recently lost him and now is trying to get back on her feet with young children and little family around. Fedelia is a 2022 recipient of the Christmas Gift. 

Tracy, just 42 years old, is a mom of 2 teenagers and has a long road to recovery after a cancer and brain tumor diagnosis... she is unable to work and her friends worry this holiday season could be tough. 

Jaime is a single mom of 2 kids, working 2 jobs to try to make ends meet... We are thrilled she is one of our 2022 Christmas Gift recipients.
