In a special edition of The Christian Outlook we look at the life and legacy of one of the most prominent atheists, the late Christopher Hitchens who died of esophageal cancer in 2011. We look at his life through the lens of Larry Taunton of “Fixed Point” ministries, a man who not only debated Hitchens, but who befriended him as well. Taunton wrote of his friendship with Hitchens in his book “The Faith of Christopher Hitchens.” He describes how Hitchens’ atheism just didn’t fit the full pattern of most other atheists. Taunton sat down for an extensive conversation with Salem Media’s Eric Metaxas and his “Socrates in the City” event.
