Kwanzaa creator and renowned scholar, Dr. Maulana Karenga, takes over our classroom to provide his unique insight and leadership. Dr. Karenga will guide us through the Nolan Wells incident, the rise of the Democratic Socialists, the ongoing war with Iran, and the upcoming anniversary of the Great March on Washington—issues that shape our future and demand our attention. Before Dr. Karenga, Clinical Therapist, Dr. Jayson Anthony will dissect two high-profile cases where young Black men suffered tragedy as the only Black individuals in their groups.
Dr. Jayson will offer a critical perspective on what these incidents signal to other young Black men and to our community at large. Plus, hear directly from Chicago activist pastor Anthony Williams, who led the charge in convincing the Illinois State House to pass a historic Civility Resolution—proving that real change is possible when we act with purpose.
