Brett kicks off the program with Pete Kaliner for this week's Friday Hangover segment, Brett starts the segment by asking Pete if he thinks comedy is dead in America? Pete argues that comedy movies are certainly on the decline but there has been a resurgence in stand up comedy across the country. This resurgence is fueled by social media which allows comedians to go the independent route where a few good sets and a couple viral videos can shoot them to the top.  

Later in the show Brett discusses the future stars of the Democratic party and fields callers weighing in on who they think will be the future face of the party. Brett shares a clip of Catherine Herridge speaking on the freedom of the press, and he shares examples of how the government silences stories that go against their narrative.
