Published Mar 28, 2025, 11:43 PM

Tune in here to this Friday's edition of the Brett Winterble Show!

Brett kicks off the program by talking about the excitement of opening night at Truist Field, where the Charlotte Knights are facing off against the Gwinnett Stripers. As the game kicks off, Brett shifts to a broader discussion on political and cultural issues, expressing frustration with the growing lunacy in the United States. He brings up controversial statements, including those by Rep. Jasmine Crockett and Marco Rubio’s measured response to questions about immigration and visa policies.

Later Brett Interviews Dan Rakowski, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Charlotte Knights, a Triple-A baseball team. Dan has an extensive background in the sports industry and became the general manager of the Knights at a young age. His passion for baseball and leadership within the team is evident as he shares insights into the team's operations, including player development and the constant roster changes at the AAA level. Dan also discusses the vibrant sports culture in Charlotte and the various events and experiences offered at Truist Field for fans.

Bo Thompson from Good Morning BT is also here for this Friday's episode of Crossing the Streams. Brett and Bo talk about the opening night of the Charlotte Knights' season, recalling a funny incident from 2014 when Bo accidentally interviewed Dan Rakowski, the Knights' COO, twice. They also discuss the idea of streaming minor league baseball games, with Bo suggesting a subscription model for following players through the minors. Bo also shares what He and Beth have coming up Monday on Good Morning BT!
