Brett argues that supporters of socialism should not simply demand that working Americans fund their vision, but should instead lead by example and voluntarily contribute more of their own money. He sarcastically proposes a “super supporter socialist surtax,” joking that 70%, 80%, or even 90% might not be enough for those who want universal government-funded benefits.
