Tune in here to this Wednesday edition of the Brett Winterble Show with Chad Adams filling in!
Chad kicks off the program by giving an update on the Daniel Penny trial, a veteran and college student who intervened when a mentally ill man began threatening fellow passengers on a subway. The mentally ill man ended up dying following Penny wrestling him to the ground and putting him in a chokehold until the police arrived. Jurors deliberated for four days before announcing that they were unable to come to a unified decision, resulting in a hung jury. Prosecutors can either dismiss the charges altogether or proceed with a second trial.
Later, Chad shares some clips from White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre defending President Biden after he broke his word by pardoning his son after months of assuring the American people that he would not intervene on his son's behalf. Reporters also ask Pierre if President Biden has plans on pardoning anyone else, including a potential preemptive pardon for Dr. Anthony Fauci.
