Bongani Bingwa speaks to Tara Roos, parliamentary correspondent for Business Day, to unpack a week dominated by key political and economic developments.

These include the Post Office’s attempt to exit business rescue without a committed private-sector partner, guaranteed government funding, or a resolution to a statutory creditor claim now being used by two funds to oppose its exit.

They also discuss Mark Burkeno’s removal from Parliament’s Finance Committee and Finance Cluster following the South African Reserve Bank’s inquiry into a company of which he is a beneficiary; and President Ramaphosa’s objection to the Madonsela appointment.

702 Breakfast with Bongani Bingwa is broadcast on 702, a Johannesburg-based talk radio station.

Bongani makes sense of the news, interviews the key newsmakers of the day, and holds those in power to account on your behalf. The team brings you all you need to know to start your day
