Now in its 13th year, the festival celebrates the rich tradition of African oral storytelling and its role in preserving culture, history and identity. This year’s theme, “Echoes of Tomorrow: Stories Shaping the Future,” places a strong focus on young people, with more than 1,000 learners from schools across the Tshwane District expected to attend. The event highlights storytelling not only as a form of entertainment, but also as an important part of heritage and a potential pathway into the creative industries for the next generation of storytellers.
