Bongani Bingwa speaks to Clint Brink about his powerful new role in Dancing the Death Drill at the Joburg Theatre, a theatrical experience audiences won’t soon forget. Running until September 28th, this gripping stage adaptation of Fred Khumalo’s award-winning novel transports us to Paris in 1958, where we meet Pitso Motaung, played by veteran actor Clint Brink. Motaung is a South African soldier forever haunted by the tragic 1917 sinking of the SS Mendi, a disaster that claimed the lives of more than 600 black South African troops and remains one of the most painful untold stories of our history.
