Host, and then I think you guys aren't even in though, like I didn't written it down.

She just wants you to know. She knows that I know.

In the chorus of need you Now by lady A, what time is it when they realize they're all alone and they need you now?

I'm in for the womd oh, Eddy struggled, I'm in. I got it lunchbox. It's a quarter after three, Eddie.

See, I didn't know how to do with the time, the actual time or what they said they said quarter.

After one, Amy, quarter after one, quarter after one. Okay, it's a quarter after.

One, I'm all alone and I need you now, lunchbox. Quarter after three, that's late, dude, that's morning. I'm gonna wait for the show. At that point.

Well yeah, quarter after one. The bar is still open. You can go still find somebody. I don't understand.

But it's not about finding somebody, so finding that. I'm one person. Lyric Okay, last one. In the opening of Tim mcgrass song, I like it, I love it? How much money did he spend at the County Fair?

I'm in for the wind. Amy and Eddie are tied. It comes down to this, to this Amy, I'm in. I think I know it.

Broke down, so he broke down. It is I spent forty eight dollars.

Last night the count I spent one or that too.

Four forty eight dollars.

So tiebreaker Amy and Eddie lunchboxes eliminated. Here we go buzz in with your name, Okay, Yeah. In the song when it Rains It Pours by Luke Combs, how much money did he win on.

A scratch off ticket? Amy? One hundred dollars Winner, Then I want one hundred bucks on a scratch off ticket, about two twelve packs with a tank of gas with it. That's it all right, winner, Amy, Nice job, Thank you. The top five states people never want to move away from. If they grew up there or they moved there, they don't want to move away the top five, they say stickiest states. At number five, Utah. Never thought I would have a feeling about Utah. Definitely didn't think i'd love it. It's awesome.

I hate the cold, so I don't like it for some of those months. But I oddly spent a bunch of time in Salt Lake City in the past few years, like seven or eight trips.

It's awesome so much so you think if you were born there.

You would never want to leave.

Correct, because I would add my blood be thicker and cold. But it's amazing. Number four California.

It's so big.

Certain parts are awesome, certain parts are terrible. But the weather, that's the one thing. Yeah, it's like parts more than others, but not California as a whole.

Oh I thought it was all at California La San Francisco. Yeah, but like you can go Bakersville, Fresno, you know those places. Pretty cool.

Number three Georgia. Number two North Carolina. North Carolina's pretty cool. Am We did live there and moved away.

I did years. The number one stickiest state. What do you think it is in Texas? Texas? It's Texas. Okay, you guys are just bias. We all left the stickiest state. That's crazy. Well, we didn't want to force you all. Yeah, it was for work. I pulled you off of it. We were stuck.

Man.

The bottom five stickiest states. Oh man, we're not doing that. Okay, then we won't do it. You can go ahead. Alabama No, really cool. West Virginia Nope. Really. Alaska's at three. People wanted to hear out of Alaska. I'd like to go to Alaska. I've never been. It's one of the maybe two states I haven't been to. Nebraska.

Five South Dakota. What's wrong with South Dakota's cold? Four Rhode Island? What three Alaska to North Dakota. Number one Wyoming.

A lot of that's cold, that's all cold, that feels all cold. That's from the Independent. Yolo spending is slowing down big time. Yolo spending would be what amy.

You only live once, so spend the money while you got it.

Might as well go, Yeah, only live once except for that more living you do later when you get no money left. That far sucks. But more shoppers are now starting to go to Walmart targets and having where prices are cheaper and price cutting as opposed to a lot of the places that people were like, I might as well get the designer stuff Yolo. But they're noticing that that Yolo's spending is down. That's from CNN.

Well, I would say a lot of those places too, And I never knew, Like I guess social media helps you realize what's a knockoff, because I never knew knockoffs Like I just go to Target and be like, oh, that person is so cute, but I would never know. Oh, that's a knockoff of some fancy brand.

Okay, by a knockoff, you mean it resembles. I guess they call it a dupe. Now, well, dupe would.

Be something that's fake. Yes, well, but Target's not selling fakes. They sell ones that that that resemble.

Okay, yeah, well the social media girls online, maybe they don't show up in your algorithm, but yeah, they call them like the dude. They're like the Target dupe for this designer bag, and I would have no idea.

And it's crazy.

They've gotten really good at ripping those off, like they look so good.

Like a dupe rolex. People buy those, but just to look fake and be they bulls.

No, it's like the eighty eight people are busting up their apartment walls trying to hang stuff in a new pole. Eighty six percent of renters had damaged walls trying to put hooks or decor. They just don't know how to do it right. Sixty two made two to three attempts before.

Getting it right.

They don't know how to look for the studs.

A new survey from Duck Brand as current and former renters, but how they make their temporary spots fill home. So they talk about hanging stuff, but it turns out they've all damaged walls trying to do it. Yeah, sometimes it's hard to find a stud though. Sometimes you miss. You get a stud finder and it tells you exactly.

Where hear you. Okay, I know what a stud finder is, or you can knock that's what I mean. But that's why I miss.

I've done that.

I've done that, and I'm miss and I always do the bit if we do have a stud finder where I'm like, well, if I hold against my chest, I didn't my wife.

This thing's find a bit. The big stud in there there he is found them every time.

Do you remember you had a guitar hanging on your wall and it would fall all the time at your old house.

That's because you didn't you didn't nail it to a stud.

Yeah. I use my battery and the studfinder to find myself. Many times, the average young adult predicts they'll be dead by the age of seventy six.

Oh man, I hope not predict well.

Yeah, so much for their dreams of being president. Huh oh yeah, you gotta be like ninety two to be president. Uh So predict the age not being funny, but what you think.

You'll really love to amy ninety oh, like a one hundred okay, eddie seventy three, dude, that's like three days.

No, no, I'm forty five. But no, I mean my grandparents they all died. I don't think one was over seventy one.

But okay, lifestyle is also a part, so not full genetics s I went hard.

In my early years, dude, hard, but you can reverse it. You can only slow it.

Yeah, Like I remember the doctor telling me, like, hey, if you don't slow down drinking, Like, no way A doctor said that. Well, he said, like if you slow down now, it'll be great for your liver to.

Like you know you had liver problems from drinking.

No, I just said, like the way you're living right now because you know you answer that questionnaire like how much do you drink?

Answer to honestly good for a lots how many drinks a week? Forgot lunchbox man, I.

Would say eighty five because my grandparents none of them lived past eighty three, so I would be out doing them by two, just genetics wise, But I mean I feel like I live a healthier lifestyle than them. But man, do you ever wonder how long you'll live?

A recent study has are built intriguing insights, and most people again predict seventy five, seventy six. Seventy six is kind of that sweet spot where it landed. And the younger they are, the older they think they'll live.

To man, that means Eddie only has thirty years low. Yeah, man, but he only doesn't mean that. He just guessed that yolo spending it.

Let's shoot for the stars with it, because then we have in our heads that we're gonna die, and we're like hearing Eddie say seventy three, like, I want him to think bigger than that, because I don't want you to live.

Maybe he will think it sixty eight and seventy three is as big. Can you know what I think? Get busy living or get busy dying. Forget about Instagram official. The new dating trend is no launch, not posting about your relationship. A no launch is not launching your relationship. The practice is not posting your partner at all. Differs from the versions that we know where you do a hard launch or a soft launch. Morgan, did you soft launch first with like holding hands or was that Abby, No, I've been soft launching. Yeah, there's some holding. There's been holding hands a few times.

Yeah, where it's like you know, but they're not She's not showing the face or anything. Maybe Abby, just hard lunch, hard launch. Yeah, that's what I was, like, I met a guy hard lunch. He might be my boyfriend hard lines.

It was like one hour later. Yeah, that's from Mashable.

And then finally gen Z is less excited about getting their driver's license and you talk about your daughter.

Oh yeah, for sure. I just I don't know what it is. But they don't seem as excited as we were. Like I remember when I turned sixteen, I started driving that night, Like I was so excited to start that journey. And I think my daughter turned sixteen and then she officially started driving herself just to and from school like eight months later.

I think because they have other options. We didn't have other options. There was no uber there was and who called it taxi? Right, Well, my kid's not ubering though, no, but there but that's an option thoughfully it is not to get places if they need to.

And my daughter she still can drive, but we only let her drive certain places because it's just I don't know what it is.

It's just rough. Your son like to drive.

Oh man, we're trying to get to fifty hours so you can finally get his driver's license, and so we're probably at thirty five somewhere in the middle there, and like I have to tell him, like, dude, we've got to keep going, go practice or else he.

Won't do it right, That's what I'm saying. That's part of the problems. They have to achieve a certain amount of hours, and I think the problem is we're.

Supposed to and then he takes a driver's test. But if he fails the driver's test, they know we didn't do the fifty hours.

But see, we were motivated and we wanted to do it. So they're not driving as much because they're not as motivated, it seems for whatever reason. And so it's just it's weird. And my daughter will uber like she does because she can't drive everywhere, and so she says, like the on my account, I have like my account, and then I have one first to share it and I order stuff for her.

That's the news. Bobby's stories.

My stepdad Arkansas Keith is on the line right now and mostly I just want.

To talk about fish. Hey, yeah, how you doing?

I'm doing good? How are you good?

I was showing the show the pictures of the fish that you caught. Looks like you got two really really really big ones. How big were those fish? And what were they?

Well? Those are strappers?

You know.

You had his thereb below the damn And I think those fish probably ran. We didn't weigh them, but measured them probably around thirty six to forty pounds. One was a little smaller than the.

Other one, so you think the small one was about thirty five pounds and the big one was about forty.

Yeah, thirty eight to forty I'm saying, and what do you? What do you One of them was forty four inches long, so I put him up there around the forty pound class.

And so what do you do with those fish?

Ony?

Don't you catch them?

Just releasing them as quick as you can, because they stressed out so bad they die.

So get this, he catches forty pounds fish and doesn't keep them, doesn't, I don't know.

He puts them back in the water. You don't need them, Keith, Yeah, you don't eat strapper.

No, they're not very good deeds. Not for me anyway.

Yeah, I don't like them either. But how about that? And he put the pictures he's holding it up and it's like to his chin, it's just tall as his chin. Wow, the fish that he caught. So what like, what pound test line do you have to catch those on?

Well? Actually I caught one of those, the bigger one of those two, on some twelve pound test line, which was a challenge. But the other one, I called it on a six on seventeen pound line, which that's a lot easier. One was a lot easier to get in another one. Do you take people? When I called, I landed it in five minutes, so that again the second one I called, I landed it at about five minutes, So the first one took me about fifteen minutes.

We're both of those the same day, same trip.

Yeah, that's why's so neat about it. I caught a big one earlier in the week too. I've caught three this year. You only catch about one a year. I caught three this year.

So so the same day you caught probably eighty pounds and two fish.

Yeah, what are you using for bait?

Shad?

So as a kid, what we would do? I drive the boat and he take the net and he would catch it.

He take the net and you have to throw it and there's a real skill to throw it and spreading the net and the net goes down traps the shad little silver fish, and then you pull the net up and hopefully they're in, and then you dump them the shad bucket and then you have to fish with them right away they.

Die, correct, Keith, that's correct.

But if they die, they're still not fish. Don't want to eat them, miss her dead.

H So you have to use them.

Then you can't really eve keep them over night because they die so quickly. So awesome I imagine though, rolling in a forty pound fish.

I mean the adrenaline, dude, did you know? Do you know it was a big boy? When you had it on?

You can tell immediately because it takes all hauling butt man, and it's just sticking your drag. It's going to do just buzzing, you know, so you know it's a big fish.

As you get older, do the fish hurt a little more when they're that big?

Well, that person wore my arms out. Let me tell you, Keith, you ever like two minutes he was he was a challenge of that first one.

Keith, You ever catch something you're like, oh, that's a big one, that's a big one, that's a tire.

No, okay, not anymore? All right?

Yeah, I don't really entires.

You ever take people out? Stripper? You you stripper guide it all anymore?

No?

Never, It's just fun stuff.

You know.

And you're fully retired.

Now I am fully retired.

How many days of the week are you fishing right now?

Uh?

Well, just about every day, sometimes in the morning, sometimes in eating, but I usually go out for three to four or five hours just about every day. You know. It may be in the morning or it may be in eating, but I go just about every day. I'm going to sappenning. You ever eating fishing has been better?

You ever do two days?

Yeah?

I do?

You know the cold water? You know how they generate the deturbine, Well, that has a lot to do with the fishing, right now, Are they right at the line when they turn those generators on? The low fish get active, you know, And it's.

You're talking about the generators in the dam boat runs from the cold water, so a lot of times you can go right to the line.

I know that I'm gonna go to the dam today.

Sell, I don't know if it's exactly the same here. We should go and have Keith take us all fishing. I'd like to shoot it as content.

I love that. Hey, Keith, what are you doing the rains? Man? You can't go hunting. You can't go fishing. What do you do?

Sometimes I just hang out around the house and catch one catch them all my stuff. But you go hunting in the rain?

I guess you can one time.

That's the best time to duck hunt, man. I love for any day for duck hunting.

Well, we just want to talk about fish. Thanks for answering the phone.

You want to man, what about the baseball I was impressed, man.

Thanks dude, appreciate that us with the Cardinals.

Yeah, I like Bobby. I'm not giving eighty any compliments.

A little lager out there.

So Eddie and I went when worked out with the same Louis Cardinals and they hit his balls and we so, yeah, it was it was a lot of fun. So you don't think Eddie like had his best day athletically out there.

He needs to go back to the Little League and get started all over trying to catch those pop ups. He looked like somebody from the third grade.

You do realize I broke my foot. My foot was broken when I was trying to get you didn't care.

He didn't care, all right, Keith.

He left tended photo to first. When you're playing first, he made to throw to second.

Appreciate that on the ground ball, Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I appreciate it.

I remember that, all right. Well, I appreciate you. We'll try. Hey, when when can we not fish anymore? Like? When does it end? When? When can we not catch any hybrid strippers? When is that over?

Uh?

It's gonna start slowing down in July, you know, about another week or so, and this will kind of slow down the stripper thing will.

And can we go tomorrow? We're not able to go tomorrow now.

The hot summertime, you know how things get all right, well, the generation those fish will go back down stream, but it's hits on right now. There's a lot of big fish getting caught.

Well, appreciate your time.

Like I say, there was probably trail to fifteen boats the last night in that little river, so you know how the river is, and there's a lot of people there.

So well, we appreciate the time and we'll talk to you soon, all right, man?

Good yet?

All right?

See there he is Arkansas, Keith, my former stepdad. There, Kyle is on the phone. Kyle needs relationship advice because Kyle says his fiance came up to him and said that she didn't love him anymore.

Gosh, is that true? Kyle? Am? I am on the right track here?

Yeah?

Okay, So tell us the story.

We were going great, everything was going good. She came up to me and we've had problems in the past and everything, but you know, I love her, I've forgiven that, we've moved on. Showed up to me and said that she just wants to move on, doesn't doesn't want to deal with me anymore.

Okay, I heard something you said.

You've forgiven her you you kind of lumped at him with problems in the past.

Was there some sort of infidelity on her part?

Yes? Wait, a long, very long time ago.

Okay? And how long have you been engaged?

A year and a half probably how long have you been together? Over twelve?

Holy crap? Why did you end up getting engaged? Like? What was that? What was a catalyst of finally making you pulled the trigger?

There?

I loved her as a person, not what she did in the past. I mean what she did in the past. We were very young and everything, and I got over that and I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her, So that's why I proposed to her.

So, Okay, here's something I'm hearing, and I could be wrong about this. I don't feel like you're over it because it's kind of come up a bit twice. Did you hold that against her still after you guys had already had to hear, Hey, I forgive you. Did you ever bring it up in a fight and like use that against her, that she, you know, cheated?

Not any time recently, I mean a long time ago. Yes, I you know, being immature, I did.

But.

No, not not anytime we had a find or anything like that.

Why do you think that she feels this way now?

Has there been anything that you have you know, felt that maybe like your relationship has been going sour?

Did you screw up? Why do you think she's saying this now?

I think she's just she's in with the wrong crowd, talking to the wrong people.

In my opinion, friends are family.

She's changed a lot in uh friends. Okay, yeah, she's changed a lot in the last year, trying to I guess, you know, trying to find herself and everything and getting into what she wants to do and wants to love.

One to ten scale, How destroyed would you be if you guys broke.

Up right now? I'm about an eight, but I know, like and I going to have to move on eventually.

When did she tell you this? And how does she tell you this?

Within the last week?

Oh?

Well, was there anything that happened in her life that made her feel like, hey, I need to change, like any big dramatic Did somebody die in her life?

Did somebody? Was there a baby born?

Okay, no, no, nothing like that.

Do you think she's serious or is it a play?

My final question, do you think she could be using this for some sort of leverage to get married faster?

I don't think so. I think she's serious with it and everything. Like I said, we've been together since I was very young and she was my first everything, and so being togs as we were very young, I mean high school. Now it's all over and I just I don't know what to do. I don't know anything right now.

Well, it doesn't feel good. Obviously, it's not a fun situation. But bro, you're not going to convince her with words or actions to be back in it. She's gonna have to come to that realization herself one way or the other to and it may not be good for you when she comes back goes I'm good, No, I'm out. But you're not gonna be able to reconvince her to come back. So my advice would be as soon as you go, I get it, go do your thing. I agree, she's gonna have a better freedom to get to get faster to where she has a realization if she wants to be with you or not. If you're like dragging it and you're like come on and she's like eight percent still in the relationship, she's not really in she's doing her own thing, but you're still like texting or calling her. That takes a long time for somebody to have that realization of hey, I want to be back with them or I don't. So you almost got to do the really hard thing up front and get to the point quicker like I hear you, I understand, and go live your life. And like they say, if you're free a bird and it comes back with bird seedy, it's free yours, that's the same something like that. Yeah, I've never heard though, Amy.

I think that you should let her go do what she needs to do right now, and you should take this opportunity to get to know yourself outside of this relationship because your kids.

You've been with her too long no good, good good easy.

Not too long, just so long, so long that you may not know yourself. So take this opportunity. Give her whatever says. If that's what she's choosing, you have to accept she has chosen that. And now I'm going to choose me, and I'm going to go work on me after you give Bobbies. Like, if you say this is serious, if you want to leave, your leave, but I'm going to go now I'm going to go work on myself.

If you're serious, Yeah, I'm bro.

You got to like leave her alone. And it's not just give her space. It's like you're done in your mind, you're done.

Bobby's right.

If you give her space, that means you want to close. You want to get space back. To give someone space, you want to get space back at some point or have an understanding of what the space is, give it. Okay, If this is what you want, I'm going to respect that because I love you.

We are done. That's it now in your head.

You can hope, but don't be like lingering, don't be texting. It's a quarter after come all alone and ninety none of that.

Don't listen to that song because if.

You really want her back, the only way she's going to come back is if you give her complete freedom to go out and understand what she really wants. And maybe she needs that though for a healthy marriage. If she's been with you since high school, yeah, it could be a good thing.

Get it, and you take this time for yourself and you might realize, wow, Okay, if she comes back, you might have done some work on yourself to realize this isn't the relationship for you either, especially if you've noticed she's changed over the last year. She may not be that same person.

But if you get anybody pregnant, it's never going to work with her again. I'm just letting you know when you're not doing your thing. If you get somebody pregnant, it's not gonna work with her. She's not gonna come back around.

Now.

I'm telling you how guys are as soon as you like let the ball out of their gay, he's, you know, trying to throw that rider off.

After eight that happens. Sometimes you're not gonna get her back.

So I would move on, move on, and then with the understanding of she's gonna go figure it out. Maybe she comes back, maybe she doesn't. You don't get anybody pregnant for a good year. And then if you give her space, you have the ability to understand, don't even her space, let her run free.

You have the ability to understand what she wants and what you want. But it sucks.

I also, I'm very sorry that's happened, because I know it's your life and I'm separated from it.

I'm able to say this stuff. But you gotta let her go if she wants to go, because it could be the best thing for you. I'm telling you, one way or the other, it could be the best thing for you. If she never comes back, that could be the best thing for you. If you don't like to start what's happening now with her friends, maybe this is good for you in the long run. You meet to the love of your life, or she goes, she understands, she realizes, and I had something really good with O Kyle. I need to go back.

And then also, you can't bring up the cheating anymore. I know you're not, but I'm just saying that you can't bring that up anymore. If you've forgiven and moved on, you can't go back to it. Okay, yes, should we set them up with Amy? Great point?

A little too young? A little too young?

How old are you? What does that mean? What is that? Don't be offended?

He could be a little I'm only twenty eight.

There you go. A little too young? Yeah, got it?

Yeah, Yeah, you definitely wasn't saying I was too young.

Eddie, you're also twenty eight. Dude, you're good. You need one of these, Yeah, you need one of these.

Move on. Hey, guys, So I want to play a little little something here. This is Drew Baldridge.

Drew's got a song now it's getting close to the top ten. But what was wild about this dude is like he tried, you know, got signed to a deal, his label ended up falling apart, lost his deal, single never went out.

Years went by, and then he gets on TikTok and it's like I'm just gonna put this.

The song blew up on TikTok and then everybody's like, I don't know if we should sign you to a deal. So he just does it himself, which is like inspiring. I've never heard of a story quite like this. He's making record label calls himself. So I'll play you some of this. But we spent over an hour talking on the Bobby Cast. Even if you don't go listen to that, I want you to know Drew's story. So maybe you just want to hear this. He talked about playing three hundred backyards because that's the work he could get. This is Drew Baldridge and a piece of this from the Bobby Cast this week.

I was reading that you were a bit self funded.

All of it. Yeah, really self Well, She's somebody's daughter came out in twenty nineteen. I wrote it about my wife. It did nothing. They sit there I wanted. I was part of a label called Cold River Independent.

Who owned that label, guy named pedle Heron. Okay, so do they have anybody else?

They had a Katie Arminger, oh name, yeah, okay, And so we had a couple songs came out. Song called Bound did pretty well for us. Nothing ever top forty. We got to forty two. I think was our highest song. And you know, I did all the radio tour, I met everybody, all the things, and that label closed down in twenty nineteen, right around the sign I put this song out and luckily, Praise the Lord, like that was gonna be my single, but I'll never forget. I sang the vocals off, She's Somebody's Daughter. I go out and sit in my car, I pull up my email and on Country air Check, which is for everybody out there, it's like a tells radio everything that's going on. There was a girl named to Neil Towns had a song called Somebody's Daughter going for.

Ads Somebody is Got and.

I was like, you gotta be freaking kidding me. You know this is my favorite song. So I just it just sit there on It did nothing, And then me and my wife got married in twenty one, and I made a wedding version so she could dance to it with her dad.

Wait two years, it's that nineteen to twenty.

One, nineteen to twenty one, it's set. It did nothing and it was on Spotify, but it just no. I didn't really talk about it, did nothing with it. And then only one we got married, I out on our honeymoon. I posted TikTok and I just say, hey, if this gets three thousand likes, I'll put it out on Friday, you know, just trying to tease. It was Wednesday. I woke up Thursday, I had almost ten million views and the video had a million likes, and I was like, oh my gosh, I'm crying and me and my wife are dancing in our little condo and I'm thinking.

Rewind that for a second. So, yeah, you do your video saying I'm gonna put this out now. Being transparent, it's probably already gonna come out for plan Yeah.

Yeah, the song is already coming out, but you just hope. Yeah, reaction happens, you know. And so what day was this when this was a Wednesday night? So Wednesday night you make the video? Yeah, in my rental car, Like, not extravagant at all. I said, my wife danced to this at our wedding last week. If you guys like it, it's coming out Friday.

And how was it positioned. Are you sitting in the car and you turned the radio up and you played over the top or are you singing.

I'm lit singing?

It? Got it? Okay?

Yeah?

And then When did the ten million views happen by what day? Thursday?

By the next day. That's crazy crazy, And mind you, I'm like, I don't look all night because i haven't had a video do that. You know, I'm just thinking, like I'm going to wake up the next day. Obviously, I'm with my wife. It's our honeymoon. We're enjoying that. And I wake up and I look at her and I'm like, wow, Katie, look at this. And I pulled up and my followers jump like one hundred thousand.

Did you think that something may be wrong with your TikTok account?

No, I was just like, holy freaking crap. I didn't know what was going on.

I've never seen a video do even like I've had some prety successful videos, like if I get half a million a night, I'm like, this is awesome. I would think that there was something all on my TikTok if I had ten million in a night.

Yeah, it was just like I've never seen it.

That's awesome.

And you know that was early on in TikTok Land twenty one. You know, they were kind of I feel like they were letting videos go more than they were now. And dude, you know, I started getting calls from some mind you every label in Nashville is shut down. It's COVID. Pretty well, music ain't really happening. It's kind of starting to come back. But I started getting calls from LA labels every day, like, hey, man, we see her. Because the song comes out Friday, right, it jumps up on streams because this video is reacting and uh, I don't have a manager, I don't have a record label, I don't have a booking agent at this time. It's just me and this goes kaboom and I'm sitting here like what do I do? I hope I get a record deal and nobody calls, Like all La LA would would take the call and they're like, hey, we want to get Universal Nashville involved. And then we come to Nashville, they kabashit. They would be like, no calls from Nashville. Be Warner La Electra. They would call, they'd be excited. It'd get to Warner Nashville. Warner Nashville wuld do nothing with it. Why do you think that is, man? I don't know. The only thing that I can guess is I had a shot, and I had three singles at radio and none of them did anything. And I'm thinking, you know, Nashville's kind of that town. If you get one shot.

Yeah, you got to be shiny. You got to take advantage of it.

You got to take time, you got to take advantage of that shiny time. And if you don't get that, then they're going to find the next shiny kid.

That would have been my theory too. And also is before TikTok had this history of.

Having some making, having some worth and yeah, and the making, not the making, but the highlighting and labels investing in artists and then them having success.

Yeah.

I mean, at the same time this was happening, Priscilla Block was having her moment, you know, Bailey Zereman was having his moment. Me and Bailey were real close. He was from my hometown area, and you know, we were talking about it and he was at that time he's getting calls from some of the same people that I wear in LA and making it and I was just like it would I would go have these label meetings and it would be like, well, we want to see you do a million streams a week, and it's like, oh, it's been out four months and it's got sixteen million streams million a week. What else do you need to see? Is like, well, if you come here, it's gonna be eight months before we take you to radio.

They were looking for reasons not to not video. There were not ending reasons to not do it.

Yeah, and i' and mind you, like, I love a lot of these people. I think they're good people. But I just wanted a chance. I wanted a shot. And so twenty twenty one, I don't have anything. I decided to post on socials and I say I'll play in anybody's backyard that wants to have me because I don't. I'm broke. I'm broke.

Yeah, I feel you.

And so I thought i'd get like five requests, and so I get like twenty some thousand requests on TikTok. For two years, I go play three hundred people's backyards, just me and a guitar. Show up. Hey, how's it going. I'm drew, never knowing what our setup was really and.

No way they would just fly to their house and play in their backyard.

Play in their backyard. Yeah, I did like three hundred, and some of them.

Just take whatever money they gave you.

Yeah.

It started off that way. I'd be like, hey, whatever you could give me, and then I was like, this is what I need, because there were some times I would lose on it, and so I'd be like, this is what I really need. Two or two or three grand pay for Miam, my tour manager and I will come play in your backyard for seventy five minutes, play corn holely barbecue, and I think what.

You did for two years people houses just play in the backyard.

Just playing in their backyard.

Clip that clip read that we're gonna get ten million of you sign we post that.

Well, it was like there was a stint after I got married. After our honeymoon, I fly home, my tour manager picks me up in my sprinter van and we go play twenty backyards in nineteen days. We went all around the country. There was a day we played two shows and somebody in different in that same town in different people's backyards. But we played twenty backyards in nineteen days. And mind you, I'm just playing. Everybody will have me. Hey, if this is what I need to get there, They'd say yes, I'd drive there, I'd fly there, I'd go play it, and you know, I would make little t shirts that had their little hometown you know of you know, Mascuo to Illinois instead of Saint Louis. It would put that on the back of the shirt. I called it the Baldridge and Bonfire Tour. And I just played three hundred people's backyards.

God, dang man, you are a winner.

Nah man, it was just that's what I had to do, survive.

That's what winners do. That's what winners do. That is one of the best stories that I have heard.

Man, Well, well, thank you for that. And then I got I was doing these backyards and I played my first festival, you know back I texted some friends that were promoters, and I was like, I don't have an agent. I'll give you a good deal, like please let me play. And they gave me a couple of fairs in twenty three and I go play my first one and everybody singing every word to She's Somebody's Daughter. And I haven't really like I knew it was having this moment, but I haven't played for any people.

I've been It's been out since nineteen. It's been out since nineteen on streaming platform.

Just sitting there, Bobby Bone, show up today.

This story comes up from Yellowstone National Park. They keep telling you, guys, stay away from the bison, don't get too close to the bison.

But I want a selfie man.

Yeah, well an.

Eighty three year old woman. Oh no, I wanted a picture with the bison.

It's better if it's like a twenty seven year old man. But it kind of is because they should know better and they're mostly able bodied.

But yeah, that's suck. So she got a picture with the bison.

She got within a couple of feet of the bison, and the bison got the horns and tossed her up in the air.

Oh my goodness. I didn't even want to ask, well she had to live, because no, sometimes he lies. You guys don't know. Sometimes he lies.

He tells the story and he goes they lived, and then I look and they didn't live.

You're right, don't tell us. I'm lunchbox.

I bone head.

Story of the day. Yeah. For a few weeks we were talking about with Eddie his health, and you would get this pain in your side.

Yeah, like right under my rib on my right side. It's just hurt, really bad.

You started to think it was cancer.

Well, because I read a story online about somebody that had a pain on the side for like months, never got it checked. Finally it got so bad they checked it out and ended up being like stage four cancer.

But didn't you go to the doctor and you schedule a doctor appointment.

I scheduled a doctor appointment, but then my pain went away, so I canceled it.

So had it come back?

So it hadn't come back, dude. It's been like a few months, and then finally it came back this week. Okay, it came back. And I'm like, oh my gosh.

My theory was you hurt yourself? Yeah, you like stretched a muscle or something.

I thought that too, right, Like, oh, we're working out hard, stretch a muscle.

No, man. We went to the movies.

I ordered a big, endless bucket of popcorn, ate almost one and a half buckets all by myself, and then I realized, like, oh gosh, that's got to be the pain because it's back, So maybe it's the high fat of the popcorn. And then the popcorn is what's hurting you, possibly, dude, And then I thought, you know what, back when it originally started, I took my kids in the movie theater and I ate a bunch of popcorn. So I think that the popcorn is making something in my stomach inflamed maybe or making making it. I don't know whatever's happening there. It hurts the side of my stomach. I'm eating too much popcorn. Not cancer. It's popcorn.

You're declaring it's not cancer. Now you're finally moved off chancer free.

Wow, So I need to lay off the popcorn.

I know.

I don't think you do.

Actually, to make sure, I think you need to have another bucket of popcorn, because now that you know that it happened the second time, and you think it happened with the first time, if it happens a third time, then for sure it's not cancer.

And it is.

Popcorn, okay. And it's not like home popcorn. It's the movie theater popcorn. Maybe it's the butter in the movie theater popcorn.

So, now I as a doctor, because I am a doctor, I prescribe a movie and popcorn.

Dude, do I pick that up somewhere next couple of weeks. Now you got to go to a movie. They'll know you're coming.

Take a note I show them with you really think it's a popcorn that's hurt one percent because I remember, like you know what, I did, go to the movies with my kids eight because what the we have this deal.

We're VIP members. We have free popcorn, free refills.

Oh so I get a big bucket and I go back, refill it, eat all that, and then sometimes I'll go a third time.

Get So what if it just happened that it was a two times you had popcorn and it is something in there, and now you're blaming it on a popcorn. That's why you need to do it a third time, Okay, just to make sure, just to make sure.

Well, my mom says, maybe the gallbladder, because with high fat stuff, the gallbladder gets in flame.

That could be it. Man, we're talking about gallbladers being in flame. We're you an old my gallbladder. That's it. We'll see you guys tomorrow. By Buddy Lobby Bones is own
