100th Anniversary

The Albuquerque Journal is celebrating it's 100th Anniversary this year and Pepper Lang joins the show to celebrate.

William Pepperday Lang II, senior vice president of the Albuquerque Publishing Co. (APC), may have grown up in a newspaper family, but following in the footsteps of previous generations was not the future he envisioned for himself or his family.

He spent his childhood in the Albuquerque area, mainly in Corrales, while his uncle, Tom Lang, served as Journal publisher and his father, Bill Lang, held several important roles at APC. He is named for his father but is known as Pepper, from his great uncle Thomas Pepperday, who purchased the Journal in 1926.
