I listened to the black Guy You Tips podcast because run and character hot.
Hey, welcome to another episode of the black Out to this podcast. I'm your host, Rod joined us always by my cost and we're live on a Saturday morning, early Saturday morning for us, because we got a lot of stuff playing to do today and we figured this might be a long episode.
Yeah, so we go ahead and get it over with.
Yeah, we figure it'd be a lot of feedback, a lot of feelings. So we said, shit, let's just get it started in the morning and wrap this bad boy up so we.
Know by the time some of y'all wake up, y'all gonna be like, damn, it's already done. Yes, it is a head and press play you missed it.
Sorry.
The official weapon of the show is then and the unofficial Spoil Football and bullet Ball Extreme Extreme Extreme, of course, find us everywhere you find podcasts. Leave us reviews on Apple Podcasts. Five stars is all we ask, and that it's nice. Okay. We don't want no mean five star reviews, and we don't want nothing less than five stars. We do a lot of work and if you don't like it, then just don't leave a comment. Don't listen fuck us. We don't need to be we'll need to be subjected to that bullshit.
We ain't got to be friends.
Yeah, wein't got to be friends. Everybody that does want to be friends, though. The lead way to leave feedback look into show notes. All right, that's it. The show notes tell you everything. It's our website, it's our social media's, it's our email, it's like every the YouTube. All of that stuff is where we get our feedback, where you can leave comments, where we respond to stuff. And that's what we're gonna do today. Ain't nothing changed. The first thing is a shot of people that gave us money. They went to the black guyhotills dot com. They looked on the right hand side and they said, let me donate to the show, let me put in on this, and we appreciate y'all.
We're not listen to.
You.
Welcome to good folks who tied to the tips, new monetization, new appreciation. Uh Doctor Professor bambe hit us with that our current donation. Jason F. The Falcon Diva, Derek L. W Ken m Zach from The Living Corporate Podcast was a guest recently. Lawrence C. Christoph R. Matthew is a brand new recurring donator. Go to the new members class. Thank you Matthew, Matthew W. We got Preston teen dro from the Slang of Agents podcast Dot Street, j Tuanisha G. And Celeste v B. Thank you everybody for putting in on this in our time of need. All right, let's get to these five star reviews. Got a couple of new ones. First one is from Beta Sleeper, who says essential podcast for a joyful life. Truly one of my favorite podcasts. Been listening for years and it's still just as enjoyable to listen to as it was the first day I discovered it. Rod and Karen are not only con smart and thoughtful on a range of topics that make you feel good to be a part of a community of decent folks just trying to do their best to get through getting through life. This is an essential podcast for anyone looking for joy in their lives, whether it's the good nature, ribbing of the drug about the drug front that is Arby's, or the segment intro songs that slap you always feel good. Have to listen to an episode. Rod and Karen, Congratulations on three thousand episode Mark you just crossing and you lost of love and good vibes for the next three thousand, Thank you, thank you, appreciate you, Beta Sleeper, and then the last review, second review putting five on it from p K Hints, who says re up in this review which cut off oddly when I did it months ago. The show is great. They have amazing gas, funny segments, fuming, empathic discussions, empathetic discussions, and Rod is the best interviewer in the podcast game. Thank you. I appreciate that. I take that shit serious, and man, that means a lot to me. You know, there's certain interviews we actually haven't done if I haven't had the time to like research it and know the person and read this stuff, and you have to delay the interview until cause I like to know what the fuck I'm talking about. Try not to do too many of these interviews. You hear everywhere where people just like so you with you like a congressman or something. You know, like, I hate those interviews. So thank you for appreciating that. That's that's a big deal to me. I write down a lot of questions and shit, all right, let's get to these episodes we had. I think four or five episodes throughout the week. Because I made the pregame, which is normally behind the paywall, I made that episode free to everybody to go listen to and comment on the website and everything, put it on the main feed, put it on YouTube basically so that I knew pe Pole will want to hear our reaction to the election results. And I didn't want you to have to wait till Saturday, and I didn't want to put it behind the paywalld and be like, we'll pay to here what we got to say. You know, it feels like a pretty major event. And if you enjoyed that, we do a show like that every week in addition to our sports show, and Justin is on there, and if you if you like the vibes, if you like the real talk, the discussion of life and stuff, I would suggest that you hop on there. You know, this next this next four year is going to be crazy because that economy that everybody thinks is going to happen. That that a lot of these activists and black like blacktavists and whatever special marginalizize group that people were in where they kind of depend on the kindness and donation and investment of guilty, feeling white people, guilty, feeling people that is not coming.
No, it's not that's old, that's that that that ship is selled.
Yes, And so I knew people that literally made millions of dollars in twenty sixteen off of Trump selection. I knew people that made lots of money off of George Floyd being killed. And I don't mean it like they killed them or they was hoping for him to get killed. I just mean it's the facts. Just something bad happened and people felt bad, and then they just wanted to find a way to help, and they wanted to support voices that would speak up and educate them and make them feel better. And I'm sure we benefited from that. Like I'm not even saying like we weren't trying. We don't do our show for those causes, but I'm sure there were people that were like, man, let me just do something, and I just want to support the voices that I think are saying some important things. I don't think that's happening this time. I think the people that made the decisions they made in that voting booth, I think the people that see Trump coming to the White House wanted that, and I don't think there's going to be any buyers re more so regret. I mean, he would have to do something to greed is in office for people to feel a level of like, shit, we really fucked up. How can we buy our way out of this. We've been covering on this show for over a year or two now, I mean with Zach from the Living Corporate podcast, we just talked about this, the d investment in DEI, the amount the people want to go back. They want to take away progressive causes, they want to take away the progress that America has made with diversity and all this stuff. So all that to say, if you're thinking about going premium, if you want to support this show, you know, go to the Blackout tests dot com slash premium sign up. You know, we're definitely gonna need it over these next years, Like this shit is is gonna be wild. Yeah.
And also it's one of these things where a lot of people its just mean with bonding. Everything was too smooth, And I think for a lot of people, they profit off of chaos, you know, good ways and bad people just profit off of chaos. And Trump was a lightning rod for a lot of people, just like Obama a lightning rod for a lot of people. This is why they drum on them. This is why they consistently bring them up no matter what's happening, because they know if you say Obama, if you say Trump is like, you're gonna get the clicks, You're gonna get the engagement, and people just are just going to show up no matter what.
Yep you have.
You had a lot of people who got TV time when Obama was in office. Them niggas is gone. You know, you had some people the same thing, got TV time when Trump was in office of the first time, and they no longer there. Because the thing is, when they feel like they don't need you no more, they basically push you out the front door. And that's to go back on what you said this time. Ain't no jobs coming, ain't no hiring coming. They're not bring you in for diversity, They're not bring you in for your opinion because like Roger said, this is exactly what they wanted. And so the thing is, they don't need you to explain. They don't need you to quell white people's guilt quote unquote, because they do not as an as masses. They do not feel guilty, and this is exactly what they wanted. And so this is what they wanted. I hope they get everything that they wished for and we will see what's gonna happen next.
All right, So these episodes three thousand and four speaking of Seafood was the first one as our feedback show. We got seven comments. Oppia says, sometimes it's necessary to cut contact with family members of other people who turn out to be terrible. But I also noticed that this suggestion is given pretty often. Conflict isn't per se a bad thing, and both parties can learn from it, not saying it works every time, but it also doesn't not work every time. It's Rod often says conflict is an abuse. Yeah, it's a great book that I read. I think people should check it out. It changed my life. It changed the way I look at things. It's one of the toughest things I've ever read, because I think I was very indoctrinated with the way people were speaking about each other on the Internet and the way people were trying to make that stuff seem like it made sense in real life for every situation, and it does not. And it taught me about you know, varying degrees of right and wrong, and emotionality and stuff affects each other, so conflict is not abuse. Overstating harm. Community Responsibility and the Duty of Repair by Sarah Shulman one of the greatest books I've ever read, and I cite it often because it it really is tough to read, especially if you're one of these like stuck in the internet type people. I'm not, you know, dissing y'all or whatever. I was one of them too, But it's tough to read. But man, it's so important. It's so important. We need We need that more than ever. On the other hand, you see where every everywhere articles about the loneliness epidemic and that it's a bad thing. I might see a link. When you cut out everyone in your life who doesn't agree with you on every topic, it's pretty lonely. And no, I'm not saying continue to have a relationship with people who really don't deserve it. Yeah, and you know you're doing the same thing I do. I keep qualifying it to let people know I'm not talking about someone abused you. I'm not talking about someone who's like I don't think gay people should exist anyway. Get out of my house, my gay son? What you not accepting me? Like, I'm not talking about that shit I'm talking about there's certain stuff where it's like I've seen people flip out over people just did not understanding the new concept. Yeah, Like it's a new concept. You didn't understand when you were introduced to it, and it took you a second, and now it's a new concept to this person. And instead of saying, oh, you just don't understand the concept, okay, it might take you a second and wrap your head around. If you have any questions, let's talk this out. You know, it's not a bad thing. It's okay to have an idea that you challenge but don't understand, right, Instead, a lot of times you're a bad person. I'm shunning you until you change your point of view even though you don't even know. And I might not even really know. I agree, I know the rights, cultural signifiers and stuff like that. So it can get complicated and people are emotional, and then it spirals out from there. And so those are the things I'm talking about. And a lot of times we uh, I think we have a duty to pull each other out of that shit to if we want to move forward. We have a duty to be like I'm not like I said, I'm not telling you bend over baggles, are not telling you deal with abuse and all that stuff. I'm just saying stuff where it's like, hey, I didn't you know. I still remember the first time someone introduced me to the concept of a trans person. I did not know. I was ignorant and I wasn't And that's not me saying I wasn't running around calling people slurs and trying to be funny with jokes. I just literally did not know. It was a new concept to me. And if that person would have said, man, fuck you, you don't know what I'm talking about, when fuck you didn't, I'm sure I would have went down some level of path that would not have been productive for either one of us, where I would have been like, shit, I mean, this person just flipped out on me. I don't even know what the fuck they're mad about, and this whole concept just becomes a thing I'm scared of, or thing that I don't want to talk about, or thing that in many cases people get defensive about and join the other side. And you know, so it's little stuff like that where you know, I remember I still remember our listener Olivia writing in and explain to me about trans transitioning and hormones and why prison people in prison would still need that even if they're trends and how I'm looking at it like some special privilege people are getting. She's like, if this is this person's orientation and they have this right to their body and their autonomy, it doesn't change because they went to prison, right, Like you know, that's like saying if someone needed insolent or something. I know many of you will disagree, but this is not about disagreeing. I'm just giving you example. If someone needed insolent and they went to prison, they went, well, you gave up your right to insulin. You're in prison. Now, we'd be like, that's unfair, that's cruel, and that's unusual. You have a duty to keep that person alive, ye, duty to make sure that person is healthy. Well, if someone is in prison and they're not getting their hormones for their hormone therapy anymore, it does mean something. It is a right that they know that they lost that. Uh, it's something we would we would see as an inalienable right in other situations. So that's uh so because she wrote in like that. It actually helped me because I was like, I don't fully understand everything, but I but this what you wrote gave me a perspective I did not have that I wouldn't have got if you just was like you transphobic biggot, I would have been like, what what the fuck did I say? I don't know, I don't know how this works, and blah blah blah. And so anyway, that was my example and.
A lot of times, and I do completely understand people's perspective whenever you like, I don't want to be your m blah blah blah blah blah, I get that. But also at the same time, when concepts are knew, like like brand new, like it's just getting into the zeitgeys, you have to get people time to adjust, particularly people that are will meaning I know, mean people that I hate for when literally people that are will meaning and they don't understand what you're talking about because nobody responds to that negative energy. You didn't even respond to the negative energy person who just knowned about it three minutes before I did. And the first response when people respond like that is to get defensive.
You're like, hey, I didn't ask for this.
I'm not coming in here burning the building down, but all of a sudden, I'm getting met with flames like that.
Shit matters.
Yep, all right. Matt responds to this and says, I've said by the extended family, at least on social media. When I lived in New York, Conservative concert convert conversations, I always got quiet when I was around. Obviously, based on what I brought up last week, that is a lifelong project. It's been harder since he got a smartphone. So yeah, smartphone stupid people. Swaveyp says on the whole cut contact with family member slash friends conversation, all always think it was well down. Just at brother Randolph Terrence l ol, Sorry brother Randolph Swab. I'ma be honest, I don't even under I'm definitely not talking about Randolph, and I'm not really sure what that would have to do with it. You know, I don't think I wasn't thinking of Randolph when I was talking about that, So yeah, I don't know. You know, Randolph's my friend and you know, uh, we've had conversations about stuff like that, and uh, I think, like I said, I don't think anyone should have to deal tolerate abuse. And I think it's not our duty or responsibility to try to like h bridge people who are doing harmful shit to us. Uh So, I don't know, I don't know. Maybe it's a joke I missed in that, but I wasn't thinking of Randolph when I said that.
And also it's an individual decision, like these are individual choices people are making too interact and to interacting. Different people had different spots in their life, Different people had different growths in their lives, and I think a lot of times for some people they tell everybody else to do that because that's how they would handle it. Well, I'm not you, and let me get there whenever I get there, Give me the same right to make the choice, just like you had the same right to make your choice on when and when you would not interact or cut people off and things like that.
Yeah, I just don't want to because they specifically named a person. I just don't want to know messy shit happening, right, people trying to be funny and then you just never know how people take that shit. And so I wasn't talking about Randolph. And you know, in case, that's not a joke or some type. Just letting people know. Ronna Raphael says, man that Arby's joke was award winning good true greatness. There Now, our girl got one week to respond, defend your honor. It's not if you're not behind the pay while you're missing out and present I present law abiding questions like what happens when you order piece of number forty and white rain is delivered. It's a huge philosophical dilemma. Tune in to find out. Evie replied, what's to defend? They still had the meets ron and Raphael says, By the way, shout out to Dems Abroad. I got my eighty seven year old mom living overseas to vote early using their website Let's Go a Trump I in the family had told her that she couldn't vote, so she casually brought it to me about wanting to vote for VP Harris. I immediately activated a grandkid in easy pas Dems Abroad rocks, so I'm a multi universal great Get your money ready for my next event. Matt Ashville said, Okay, I'm sorry.
You know I'm saying let's go.
I appreciate that, and you know, I hate we couldn't have him on the show this go round, but I'm very glad that they were able to, you know, be able to get the message out and still allow people abroad to vote. Because y'all matter too, because y'all are also American citizens, and what the fuck happens here impacts you all over the world.
Madd Ashville says. Also, most importantly, Rod and Karen, thank you for this podcast and creating the space with listening feedback is welcoming part of the show. I appreciate y'all close. I was getting to the high from the website treatment that the next responder got few. I found y'all through for our nerds, and ever since, all the podcasts I listened to have been very sad and left in the queue. Well, we don't mean for you to leave the other shows alone, but I'm glad you're enjoying them.
Sure, shout the foot all, nerds.
Let's check out the YouTube comments for this episode three thousand and four. Speaking of seafood, Delay just says, I'm one of the cool kid listeners that came from tweb. Damn, how long ago was a twilbarrow? Time has been a blur yo, that child.
Time has been It has been a blurd child. I don't know what teen years, probably longer than that.
I had a job job when I was listening to twelve. I used to call them on my breaks from work and on my way home from work, like that was a time. That was a time. It was a time, and I loved that show. Man to that show. I understand why I went away and everything that happened. You know, it's kind of like a foray into learning about the Internet and social media in real time. But man, you know, I still have fond memories of twelve and the people that were hosts there and Elon and all that stuff.
I got beautiful relationships based off of that show, like friendships and things like that.
And I still do hate the way that it kind of ended after the hilly Clinton election and the way things went down. It just felt like a real waste. But yeah, it is what it is. I enjoyed that show. Rebecca says, thank you, thank you for honoring me by using my comment speaking of seafood as the episode title. It warms my heart. I made you both laugh, love you both, love you podcast. Thank you, Rebecca. That was funny. Yeah, it was.
That was funny, just because it just came out of nowhere like that. It's hilarious.
That was funny, all right. Next episode is three thousand and five yelling at Babies. We had five comments. Let's get to these comments. Appia said, when I eat stuff out of mister Oppoia's play, I call it marriage tax for all the work and services I provide for our lives. I'm sure you do.
Call it something.
Rona Raphael says, I just need to know when are we getting yelling at baby's T shirt. I already have a target in mind. I already voted in the polls before our real recall witness and some wild ship at a pole place back during my hardcourt days in Nigeria. I also witness in Legos and Ibadan, so my vote should have been yes. Let's just say that it was an altercation between two major party agents while police and soldiers and by watch until they were satisfied. You triggered memories. But an exl T shirt can begin my multimensional his multi dimensional healing. Yelling at baby's shirt. I guess we could maybe commission an artists to do something like that. I mean, fuck it, you know, I still feel like yelling at them fucking bad.
Yell at.
Y'all got them babies, put your babies a goddamn shield.
Yeah, I mean we needed more. Obviously, we needed more energy yelling at babies.
We get, we needed to yell at more babies. Apparently I wasn't enough.
I forget my good sister, and we were on three guys on when we saw that clip, and I made a bunch of references to how I appreciated the energy from that woman, and that was a lady and a woman in the chat who uh, she couldn't get past her resentment for a white women's privilege to to say like that woman was on the right path now, in addition to a kept trying to kill my fucking joke, which I'll know I take seriously, I don't care the joke. She just made me double triple down to keep going harder because I'm like, you're not killing my joke. This shit is funny, what I'm saying. But then the second thing was now that we got them results, don't y'all wish more of these white ladies had that energy, because I definitely do.
And my and my thing is this, I understand that black people in masses they feel a certain way about white people in their privilege. And the thing is, having privilege is not always a bad thing when that privilege is used to push your rights. I am okay with them using their privilege in that way. Some black people are like, white people, just get out of here, No bitch, we need them. This election showed that we need then we cannot do it on our own.
We cannot go off on the island. We can act, we cannot.
Act like if we go on our own and do our thing, they will leave us alone.
This shit won't happen.
White people have got to stand up in masses and go against white people. Why because history has showed us whenever we did this, you know what they do. They come to our towns and they burn shit down. You know what, when we go off on the own, you know what they do. They come and they take our land, and when we're running, they shoot us. That's what happened when we go off and do our own shit. We need white people to use their white privilege against other white people because.
They will not hear us out.
Yeah, if they're gonna be over here, I'd rather they use that privilege for good, all right. So and even in that situation, I don't I don't even know that that's a white privileged thing. It was just she was going extra hard. If a black woman would have yelled that baby, I would have been supporting that too. She going a T shirt anyway. Razie D. Jenkins has five stars. We live in northeast Texas, fifty miles north of Dallas Fort Worth. When I worked the last election as a poll clerk, couples came in, sat by one another and voted twenty five year olds up through their seventies. Can you guess the race of those couples who did that. They also brought their children and could run around, cross shoot shout, and keep up confusion throughout the parents' voting process. We had no pole officials or police to remind them about the individual and quiet voting process. My hubs and I voted two weeks ago, and they separated us. I guess some sorts of guess those people were white, because I don't know. I'm not one hundredson. Sure I got what you was putting down on that, but I do wonder if they split him up or not. I know, me and Karen have never gotten to vote together. But I don't know if there's like a wink wink, oh it's a white couple. They need to vote side by side so the man can check her page. I have no idea shoe Bobby says Karen straight two minutes of unether and justified Ari's rage a rod right. Like I said, it's about vibes. I love all of this. Thank you.
Me and Ron see each other out yep.
Sean says, if you don't want your baby, yeo that don't use her as a proper humust slashy min Shield agree, but you hate phil anti abortion rhetoric that father should be investigated for abuse and neglect and have his daughter moved to a home that respects her safety and bodily autonomy. I agree, and here's why. Like, I don't know if he is abusive, but I think that's a very dangerous thing to do to a baby. And the reason I think that's different than say, bring your child on the march for Black Lives Matter, is that you brought someone out to an anti protest movement, right, and you put your baby on the front lines to and the baby has no fucking say. The baby doesn't know shit, it's a fucking baby. Baby, What are you doing? That's so ridiculous and dangerous. That's crazy. That's like if you that's the difference to me between bringing a baby to a Black Lives Matter march. Right, let's stick. Let's stick to just our side, the side of what we think is good people. Okay, if you bought a baby to a Black Lives Matter in March, no problem. If you brought your baby to Charlottesville, I would be like it, don't mind what fucking side you're on. You knew that was gonna be a fight with Nazis. Why the fuck is your baby out there on the front lines of a fight with Nazis? You think that Nazi supposed to look over there and go, oh, you know, here's a baby. No, that's that's crazy that that man did that, And it's crazy that people got mad at her yelling at the baby, like, guys, let's keep out the corn about our rights. Fuck that. And I'm one thousand percent sure if that man would have been calling him in words, are wearing a clan hoodie or some shit like that, y'all would not have gave a fuck about that baby. And that not that y'all did, the general general public would not have give a fuck about that fucking baby. It'd be like, motherfucking fuck you. Anyway, we leave that yelling at baby energy though it's.
All what I'm saying, keep yelling at them.
I just realized we didn't do the poll for the last one. Sorry, guys, are you looking forward to moving our clocks back an hour? Was a poll?
Yes?
Thirty eight percent, No, sixty percent, And we don't have daylight saving a time where I live two percent there ago all right, Now for this one, the poles, have you ever personally witness an altercation at the polling place? For about five percent of y'all have? Ninety five percent of y'all have not. But that is important because my point was I wanted to make with that Poe was a lot of us were supposed to be worried and nervous over something that wasn't gonna happen. Right. You know, we did essentially have our election on Tuesday, and there was nobody running up on polling places and harming people. There were bomb threats that were called in from Russia, which is a whole nother form of voter suppression, and I don't know what you do with that ship. Agreed, it only happens And keep in mind, this suppression tactic only happens in black places. I don't know what you're supposed to. What are we supposed to do with this that no one's calling in bomb threats to fucking West Virginia, you know, anyway, So, but they wanted your fear. They wanted you to be afraid to go in there and pull the lever every like every other time you ever pulled it, And they wanted every time they they I've seen these type of rumors and allegations and stuff come, and I don't want our audience to be afraid. I refuse to let y'all give in to irrational fear.
I don't irrational logical.
I don't mind if we have some evidence based reason to be like we should not go cool. But you know, we have ancestors that literally went to the poll with their guns, like, well listen, we're gonna shoot the fair wind. They not asking us to do that like this, this this is still not that version of whiteness that literally was taking our lives at the poles. So I personally am not gonna let some maga man throwing a tantrum keep me from going to the polls, right, And I didn't think it was gonna be a thing where black people need to go stand by the polls and wait for some violence. I thought people were overreacting to that, and that was the point. Yeah, but I mean, you know that that turned out to not really be the issue. Is you know, going to vote is not That's not a scary proposition in America right now? All right? And then on YouTube we got five comments. Let me get to these uh be jingsful says or jingsful laugh my ass. I'll shorty walked up so calmly did that baby before cussing it out right, Cali Bruh, Mike says, Rob one hundred percent. Facts on the hip hop point. Since we gen X millennials and we're born in the hip hop, our generation shaped and carved the road for what we see today. I do feel like a gatekeeper of the culture because we saw people scra from the bottom to the top. We saw coastal culture's form. We saw the South break in and build a whole nother wing on the house. The way we dress, made shit in the fashion, and even the way we use slang man. We came up in a fortunate time, and I truly despise cultural appropriation as whack because they haven't contributed to building and fighting of the art form. And it pisses me the fuck off when I see K pop bite you and throw up their shitty formed interpretation of us. Every group acts like us Black people, even I even see these motherfuckers making mad gun references, and even Skinny no Ass having Korean female rappers talking about Jesus, what's happening here?
Turn left, what's happening talking.
About they WAPs and as fat like bruh, shaking my head. I also hate how people see non black people act and move like us, and they get major love, as if their original hashtag gate keep against new wannabes.
All right, Cali br Mike.
I don't agree with the vast majority of the end of that we part ways that the part about their appropriation stuff. Understand Black people have feelings around that shit, but I think it's a denial of our power of our culture when we say it's insular and that no other race should be affected by it. Want to contribute to it or be impacted by yeah, or be impacted by Yeah, I just don't agree with that. I think it's what I think is funny about it. And I know it's gonna sound backwards to you and not. We don't have to agree, but I actually think that's kind of racist towards us. I think it's saying we have a culture that Like, put it this way, if a Korean person comes to America and they come here and they're talking like what we deem is white people, white culture, we will say that's American. They're being Americanized, right, we will say they we would. What we were saying there is that white people's culture is the culture of America and that in order to be American, in order to adapt and appropriate, that is the correct way to do it. And what I'm saying is if a Korean person came here and they were influenced by hip hop culture, which is one of our biggest exports, movie, fashion, music, all the stuff that black people created in America, if they were affected by that and said that is what I see America at America as that is how I move. Now. I don't have a complete understanding of every cultural impact, but guess what else they don't have? They don't have a complete understanding of white people's maneuvers and cultural impact either. So when they come here and they're one way versus the other, I don't see how one is offensive to me and the other isn't you know what I'm saying, that's just me. I don't like I think that stuff is informed by the impact of individual situations and conversations we've had in America with different races and racism and stuff. I'm not saying those things aren't real, but the idea that I should just be offended that a Korean person wants to sing R and B or a rap or you know, imitate MEGANI Stallion, that that doesn't bother me. That that's because MEGANI Stallion is such a powerful influence, because her music is that good and her her cultural influence is that and and I don't see it going the other way. Like Cali Bruh. Mike, You're never gonna write in and say I don't appreciate Megan Stallion dressing up in anime costumes and being in Otaco. You're not gonna say that. You know, you're not gonna say that because you you don't have a problem with to go in the other way, right, And that's and that's one of the reasons I've talked about it on the show, like it's it's Beyonce dressing up in that Southeast Asian garb in that video. Well, I forget, it's like Cold Player or somebody. And and there were any there were people trying to complain about that, and I said, I understand what you're saying, but at the same time, like we are cross cultural, we are a melting pot, we are blending things over here, We're creating new out of old with the problem is just don't be disrespectful. Yes, if you want to say, don't cultural appropriate to people who disrespect us, well, hell yeah, I keep the fuck out of them. You know, if you think less of us, but you want to put on our cultural costume like an Iggy Azelia, then god damn you right, I just ride on that motherfucker. But it's a case by case basis.
For me, it is.
And it's also one of those things where a lot of this shit is subjective. People have their own individual film about race and racism because it runs deep and all that aside, a lot of people feel like, well, since white people hold onto their coach and to keep us out. We're gonna hold on to what the fuck we have and keep everybody else out. But I have to tell you, the shit don't work like that. And most artists that you ask are influenced by other people outside of our community. Like like like things swap, they switch, they float.
Yeah, And I watch black people go up for white folks all the motherfucking time, right that they deem appropriate. You know, there's so many artists that people are like, oh my god, this this. I'll give you a great example, Bruno Mars. Bruno Mars is a person that did not necessarily culturally grow up black. You know, he's Filipino, but the influences in his music, when you ask him about where that, where that comes from, he can sit down and break down to you like and with appreciation and reverence. Like these people change the game. If it wasn't for James Brown, this this moment the Funky Drummers did blank, that's appreciation that that And you can't just look at this man's face and go I could tell I'm offended. This motherfucker. He ain't grow up black, so fuck him. That's what I'm talking about. So y'all ain't gotta agree with me. I feel very strongly on this, and y'all feel strongly the other way, right, But I just find it to be a very simplistic point of view to just go this Asian person was rapping, I'm mad. Well I'm not. You can be mad, that's fine. I need to know more.
And also it's not the same, but it's the same. But that people get upset about this. But yet when we get into other genres of music than are ours and we cultivated in yeah, yeah, like we cultivated into ours, we don't have a problem about that. Like you know, we don't have a problem with us getting into all these different genres and total.
Not just we don't have a problem. We celebrated, Yes, we celebrated, but then.
The revership be able to happen, Like we don't have a lock and key on our culture. And I know that's hard. People don't want to accept that, but we don't. We we cannot control it. Once something is put out into the world, it goes beyond your control.
And like I said, my the way I see it is that it is a complete under valuing of our culture and the power of our culture. To think we can keep it insular. We are too powerful for that, and what we do influences the world too strongly for us to think it's gonna stay within the boundaries of our neighborhood. It's it's too dope, and it's too dope.
And my thing.
I appreciate that, like I am grateful and I am thankful even though people might disagree with me. I am grateful, I am thankful for it.
Shut up ratchet scientists in the chat room saying shit that we didn't say, and that no one's saying. Culture is fluid, but none of this is like we decided Beethoven's R and B and we created it. Just tell the truth. Who the fuck is saying they created this shit? No one is saying that. No one is saying Justin Timberlay created R and B. That's the thing. We make up to be a straw man so that we can hate these people who come into this into this lane. I think if you're gonna hate on someone like a Justin Timberlay or a Miley Cyrus, I don't think you need to create a fiction of like they acting like they invented it.
No.
Maybe one person wrote an article one time. That's not why we're mad. I'm mad because Molly Cyrus does not respect hip hop. Molly Cyrus this hip hop on her way out when she wanted to go back to white. That is what makes me mad. But I would not see like what's my man's name? I wouldn't I see John be An Amelia go fuck this white boy. I can't believe he stole our culture. Would I don't. That's not how I'm ever gonna operate. I can be more nuanced in that. So I don't like it's only okay, I missed the point. Then I don't think it was explained very well. Maybe I missed something, but the point being, like, I think there's a big ass difference between uh, this snap judgment that CALLI bruhs is suggesting we all do oh a Korean person's rapping fuck them? No, I don't. That's not gatekeeping to me.
No.
And and I absolutely positive I affuse a lot of black people feel like, because so many things have been stolen from us, stop stealing from us.
I get that, y'all. Ain't nobody arguing with y'all against that.
All we're saying, as long as you come in here, and you don't say that it is yours.
And also, I think a lot of.
Black people get mad and upset because they feel like when people come they get more credit than we do own our shit. I get that, y'all. But at the same time, as long as these people are not coming out and saying that I created this and this is mine, I do not have a problem. As long as you coming here respecting the room, I don't have a problem with that.
Yeah, and I think it should be I think it should be reciprocated meaning and I expect it to be reciprocated, you know. So like the same thing that I see when Megan the Stallion decides like I love anime and she appreciates anime, and she wants to dress up and she wants to like I wouldn't be shocked if she is in anime at some point she's going to Japan. I'm sure that are Japanese people that treat her with disrespect, you know, but a lot more Japanese people treat her with open arms, like, yes, we see you love this as well, we see you're a fan. Come over here with us. And I think it's very important that that flow culturally exists between different marginalized communities and whatnot. So yeah, I think it's I don't have the snap judgment Cali Bruh was what was promoting, and I just never will And like I said, I'm just explaining why because I think it somehow undervalues our power to think that, uh, we're supposed to be the dopest people on earth for everybody, so to go, well, that's off limits, guys, only black people can rap. That's not true.
You know.
It's like saying only you know, a black person should not make up make classical music like why not from why can't we add our dopeness to that shit? I love when black people add dopeness to some shit.
I do too, and I don't have a problem with it at all.
And you know, for some people, they're gonna always feel this way because and a lot of the stems from racism. The way white people treat us has impacted us, and it's impacted us more than we're willing to admit sometimes. And so anytime anybody comes in our space is not us were weary of them and child, I get it. And anytime anybody comes in our space and absorbs our space and then go out and makes it their own. You know, you feel a certain way because for some people, they always think everything is a theft, and I get that because so many things have been stolen from us.
But it's a.
Difference between stealing something and taking something and borrowing it and morphin it into your own because we do that to other coaches all of the time. And I'm not saying that your anger isn't righteous or valid. I understand it. Be suspicious of every fucking body you know until they prove otherwise.
Yeah, I'm saying is they wrote it in a tiggyback on a point that I made, and it's not the point I was making, and I don't agree with the extra point that was making it. So I'm gonna have to clarify my stance because I'm not saying that the people that like. I'm not mad at these new kids for I think they just grew up in a different time where they take rap for granted. And yes, the idea of having to prove yourself with every song and beat is not is not Germaine of them. It's something going on with your camera. What's happening?
Yeah, my chat froze. It was doing some funky stuff. So I'm coming back in.
You was on it was on screen, and then I just saw you disappear. And you know, later when they try to do the clips, that was a good clip that could have been on the internet that I don't think we could put out there. So I'm just waiting for you to come back. I'm just gamping to give you time. No one's blaming you. You're not in trouble. Okay, all right, we're working on it. Everybody were just letting y'all know. Okay, this is real live podcasting. But yeah, so yeah, I don't. I just don't. I just don't go for that. Cali Bruh and I know other black people do. It's just we part ways on that, and I always just find it funny because there's something there's something about that, and maybe I'm not expressing it for in a way everyone can understand, but there is something about our reaction to that that says white acting white, quote unquote is the right way to act. If an Indian person comes over here and they they are uh talking as white people talk, like I'll tell you another great example. People feel this way about what is the guy who made he's a comedian he did, Uh was a master of none. Uh what does that do? His name? Yeah? Uh Asason? Sorry people feel this way about season. Sorry? And then uh, the other Indian comedian had just got in trouble for stealing jokes uh or or lying about jokes is what they were saying. Uh uh Hassimon minhach Uh. I've heard complaints within the comedy world, and and and and people complain about uh, both of them and their affectations of what they would consider blackness, Like their slang is influenced by blackness, They're comedy stylings influenced by blackness. They're clothing, their you know, their haircut, stuff like that. And I've always thought that was an interesting denotation to make, because if you sat down and ask those guys who their comedy influences are, which I've seen them asked about, they name the same people we would name. And it becomes apparent if you stop and think about it, most of us think the top five to ten comedians ever, we think most of them are black.
Yes.
Now, if you don't stop to think about that part, you just think, why are these motherfuckers starting to steal black mannerisms? But if you stop and go, wait a minute, who are my top five comedians? And a lot of people's list is gonna look somewhere like Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Richard pryor Eddie Eddie Murphy. And I'm not saying there's no white people in people's top five, but but if someone's top five had only black people, none of you would be like what the fuck. Almost all of you would be like, yeah, that's about right. Black people fucking run comedy. They kill stand up. They are some of the best and baddest motherfuckers ever to do it. And if someone was like, I grew up as an Indian kid, but I love comedy, I love stand up and I looked at the influences and who was running shit, and I said, oh my god, these people are geniuses. And I'm starting to write my jokes and feel my way through it, and a lot of that's influenced by their points of view, their style, that technique. We would go, yeah, that makes sense. It's what a lot of black people do. Makes sense. But if that same comedian said the top five comedians to me are Jerry sin Felt, George Carlin, you know, and like the Bob Newhart, there's nothing but white people. Those are the top five, the only top five for me. And that same Indian comedian is going out there making jokes in their styles sounding white appropriate. You know, we don't say that's appropriate whiteness. We just go he's doing comedy. That's how intrinsic and ingrained white supremacy is in my mind. May I understand there's a different way of thinking for most people that are viewing this. You ain't never heard nobody express this. That's the way before. But this is this is the conclusion I reached. We are giving white people too much culturally when we make them the default culture of America. Blackness is the culture of America. There ain't no culture in America without blackness. White people came to this place and destroyed culture.
Yes that did. It was already here.
Why am I giving them credit? Like I'm not giving them credit. The shit that makes America dope culturally is all us. It's all the brownness. It's the melting pot ness of it all. Who fuck made rock and roll? Who the fuck may rap? Who the fuck made blues?
Who? You know what I'm saying?
Who made black cool? Who made what was cool? On the screen like, I'm not giving them that. So, so if someone is outside of the culture outside of America and they are influenced by hip hop like Drake was, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna detegrate that and be like, Nah, you shouldn't even be doing hip hop. That's black people shit, Nah, it's American shit. It just they don't want America. They don't want Black people to feel like we're part of America. But we the fucking backbone of it. As for how we feel about how I feel about a confina, I've said it many times on this show. Igonfina doesn't offend me, Nope, And so, uh, it is what it is.
I think.
She did a thing that a lot of people do and and many of us don't talk about it, and even black people do this. We if we do not grow up around other black people, and you know black people that have not grown up around other black people. But a lot of times they get their cultural affectations from from from from music and entertainment and ship and they adopt that and they go too hard in it because they don't fucking know, Like they literally are fucking ignorant to it. They don't. They don't know. You don't need to do all that shit. I've done that ship before. I remember when see so, I used to rap when I was younger. I uh probably could pull up.
Some come on own sweet water tapolam.
And this is embarrassing for me. I'm gonna share with y'all because it's something I need y'all to see, because it's a point I'm trying to make. But it's embarrassing to me. Uh the the rap I used to do to some extent, not because I felt like I wasn't good at it. And it's so interesting because some of my songs on sound Click, which is where they are now, some of these actually were like top like top whatever, you know what I'm saying, Like they made the top seven hundred songs on the internet on this website, and I was very proud of that at the time, and now looking back, I'm like, oh God, I'm not proud of this at all. What the fuck was I doing? But like, here's one this is and like I said, this is embarrassing, but I'm gonna play it for y'all anyway. Let me see if I can set the sound up so that y'all won't get it. Hopefully an echo, right or you know, I'm gonna leave this song, y'all. Let me know if y'all get an echo and if if if you do, I'll change the sound settings. Okay, so let mean, how do I share this page? What's going on with my settings over here? Oh god? Okay, all right, it's coming. Uh, it's just moving slow. Uh, but yeah it was. It's and and many of people. If you haven't tried to create, if you haven't felt like outside of something, you might not be able to relate to what I'm about to play. But this is something that very similarly I can see happening into an aquafina or somebody like that. All right, now, it's not letting me share the page, all right, give me I might have to refresh, guys, give me one second. Sorry.
Yeah, if I said, they don't hear no sound at all? Now, okay, because you because you refreshed.
No, no, I just refreshed. So it was something happened on crowdcast. Be right back to the joint stage music. Okay, I should be back now. And now I'm going to share it and let me know if you get an echo. If you get an echo off. Turn it off, everybody, But like, let me look at one of these ones. That is kind of fucking that's that's just embarrassing. One of my most embarrassing. Okay, these streets is the name of this right, I'm not I'm not street like that. I've never sold drugs, I've never shot nobody. But this is the ship I was rapping about. That's what everybody else is rapping about. Now y'all getting an echo? Let me let's stop real quick. Care you watch the chat. Let me know if they're getting an echo, because if they're getting an echo, I'll stop here.
Y'all getting the echo, y'all let us know. We don't know if y'all getting an echo or not.
Hopefully y'all heard the first six seconds.
Yeah of it, to let us know if y'all echo. I know it's kind of a delay. I'm waiting to see no echo.
Okay, all right, here we go, guys. This is embarrassing. I hate that y'all are hearing this, but it's important. Crab your dollar. Why is this intro so long? I don't remember this.
Said?
We ease lived. So if I'm on these streets, you gotta kid mills or you Now on these.
Streets, you can get killed if you've out on these streets.
How many niggas riding with me? It's not too many niggas. I just sit back, relax and be taking my time. Never know which way you could turn. My niggas stay with the bird, so we stay on the ground.
My niggas stay a little with the naze. That just so we learned.
Because I'm hollowtails. They sure we can burn and freeze, but lets that you freeze. You wanna turn you to what's statue? Because little with me told me never brack up about.
The murderer race.
Just look while they raft. I think that you have you balling the Pelican base.
What more can I say?
See, I'm straight from q Seed. Like the street I'm named after, keeps playing with the flame to your brain, get shattered the lad from the playma make your whole brains by the time motive. I have never even shoplifted. What the fuck was I doing?
Right?
You know what I'm saying? But I was like younger, but not that young like not not. I wasn't like a teenager. I wasn't a kid. I was a grown ass man with a job, like making songs about killing people and getting shot and shit. And that's and that's the thing. You have to find your what you have to find yourself within the music, and you don't necessarily know that when you start. I actually ended up later making much better music that I would stand behind that I actually, you know, thought was saying something and all of that stuff, and like, I'm not embarrassed at that music, but it was embarrassing to listen to that because that is not It's not about the proficiency or being good at rap. That's more about I'm not living that life. That's not true to who I am. Right, But where did I get that from? Cause I'm listening to Cameron, I'm listening to jay Z, I'm listening to Rockefeller, I'm listening to Chronic. I'm listening to shit that is influencing me, and I'm thinking, this is what music is. So there's this growing thing you have to go through. Comedians do it. Every artist, person that's influenced by a certain thing does it. Well, you think these are cultural tip posts. These are the things I'm supposed to say, These are the things I'm supposed to do. That is what happens, What we are trying to retro fit is. But if you're not from this culture, you should be able to understand that you shouldn't talk like this. And I'm like, those people have the least amount of understanding. They shouldn't be able to talk like this, right, Like, that's why you got people in Korea. They don't even really recognize the culture of the gang shit that thrown up because they just they literally are ignorant to the signifiers and what that really means. Over here. They're not living that life, but our culture is so powerful they've been influenced by that. So that's where that comes from. People are asking about the beat. I don't know where I got that beat from. I think maybe Duncan made it. There was a guy Duncan Hans Cake mixed productions, so maybe he made it. There's a lot of beats we got from the internet that he ended up mixing and mastering. My brother made some of the beats now he makes beats almost exclusively. And some of the stuff I got off the internet with friends, like off of forms and stuff, and they would send it to me and I would uh mix a master on my own on my computer and get it as close as I could the good and put it out. It was very fun to do. But anyway, y'all are missing the fucking point. It's not about me saying. I didn't say I couldn't rap. I didn't say it wasn't fun or not good. It was just the real point is it's embarrassing to find your voice, and we hold this shit against people. So Aquafina, who's immittedly did not grow up around or in black culture, has said she would go to her room, she would listen to hip hop, and she would fucking try to make these funny but cool raps. She's finding her voice, she's finding her comedic voice, she's finding her artistic voice. The world punt. We are so punitive now. We wanted to like pun it her for having a success and stuff, and she did something that we asked her to do, and then we got mad at her for doing it, which is everyone told her to stop it, said, leave our fucking culture alone. We're not a costume. Blah blah.
She stopped, Yes, she did.
She said, all right, fuck it, all right, cool, I'm I'm talking like this now. This is how I grew up. I'm done. I won't even uh try that shit, and people are mad at her over that shit.
You can't have it both ways. You can't get mad.
Tell them stopped and they stop, and you've been like, bitch, why you stop because you told me to?
Yes, So it is what it is, Like I said, it's just h I didn't and I don't want to go on a whole tangent about it, but it's just, you know, I don't feel strongly one way or other. I just think it's part of the process, and I don't hold people in that moment. I'm more I would be more upset if I caught Aquaphena saying something bad about black people, I agree, then we got a fucking problem. I've never even with people coming at her neck. I've never seen her say anything bad about black people. I've seen her try to make a funny rap line, for instance, Serena Williams it once again, it's not about black people. It's like, I wouldn't need her because we have plenty of examples of like an Eggy Azalea, a Miley Cyrus, where someone used our music to come up and then they said something about our culture and our people, and that's that to me, is unforgivable.
Yeah, that's when you go out. They next, yes.
And I and so I'll never stand for that ship. But if you just some Korean motherfucker that just saw the chronic and went that's so dope, I want to contribute to that. I'm not mad at you.
I don't give a fun And also, like I said, I know everybody different, but I'm gonna tell you right now, I absolutely loved when uh, what was it, BBL drizzy came out and people rapping in Spanish, French like like like like like a lot of niggas have a tendency to forget when they was rapping in these other languages. We was playing that shit. Couldn't understand a motherfucker word they was saying. But I loved it. So you know, we love when they mimic our stuff. We act like we don't love it, but but we But truth be told, a lot of times were actually flattered by it. But at the end of the day, we gotta beat beaty controllers.
We can't control the shit. Like I said, I want that.
I was having a motherfucking ball when I was hearing them other languages for me, like I was like, hey, just go Like for me, when I hear people rapping and they the beats and things like that, I am always here for it.
Like I don't think that.
It's always a bad thing unless they come in and just talk shit about our culture.
If not, I don't have a problem with it.
So yeah, all right. The next comment is also from Kylie Bruh says, another thing about vibes. Trump goes on shitty ass shows on platforms that kiss his ass over compliment, go out of their way to make him comfortable. Almost everywhere she went with people who questioned her intelligence, veriability and blackness. Fuck all that bitch made ass dudes who talked shit about her locking up black men and all the other bullsh She has ten times more balls than Trump. Yeah, man. And and it's funny because now that she is lost, we're getting that, we're getting this revisionist history, and we're also getting people reckoning with stuff. And I mean, we're gonna get into it. Hey do you have in a second, But we're getting people saying stuff like, why don't we have a left wing Joe Rogan, Why don't we have left wing voices that that are that can affect an election, that are as big as these other platforms. And the reason you don't have that, and the main reason, honestly it's still white supremacy is you're not gonna get by it. You know. White people get a lot more rope to say and and and do shit and still keep an audience. There's there's a reason there's a limit to how much of an audience me and Karen can get because we talk too real. If we if we was up here, you know, then like the black dude that works at the New York Times, and that the real problem in this election was the Democrats didn't have a problem ry. But that's the reason he's the black dude at the New York Times because he talked like that. Right, he can't come into work and be like, it's y'all motherfuckers, y'all in this room with me are part of the fucking problem. He can't say that he won't have a job tomorrow. I can say that, but I won't have the audience that he has. So there's a trade off to this. White people don't have to make that compromise. So like Joe Rogan can be the biggest podcast in the world and traffic in white supremacy and support that, and left leaning listeners don't tolerate too much bullshit. So like, if you get too off the beaten path, if you start piling around with some problematic shit, they like, they'll dip out. They'll be like, nah, if you start trafficking and misinformation and non facts, they'll leave. These white folks want to hear that shit in a lot of cases, so they listen to those guys. Those that don't listen to them, they tolerate those guys, you know what I mean, people that I think are otherwise pretty righteous people. But they can't cut off Joe Rogan. They can't say to themselves, Yo, this dude's a bad guy that really affects our elections and really affects our society and our culture. And he's very irresponsible with it, and whenever he's caught on it, he just goes, I'm as a comedian, and they don't see it as like the threat that it is. Yes, and so now they're like, how do we create a left wing win and stuff? But part of how you have a space like what he has, it's a very uncritical space. Like he'll let you sit in front of him and say whatever the fuck you want to say, and he'll just go wow. Really, so you think he'll do that. There's no version of that that's getting past Democrats and left wing people or progressive people. They're not gonna hear that, you know, So you can't recreate something like that. Kamala Harris will never sit down on a truly left wing platform and just be like, I'm on it for president. And then the guys at Pod Save the USA will go, okay, so really, like you keep a tax credit for the okay, all right? You know, like nah, and they're not And if and if she says something crazy, they're gonna challenge it. If she said something reasonable, they're gonna challenge it, Like that's just what the It's a cold, totally different cultural dynamic over there. So yeah, they'll they'll never be any of that. But I share your rage and that a lot of people helped this out by spreading misinformation.
They did.
CBJ Morgan says, thanks for the real talk and last I listened to the show while I waited in line to vote. I'm glad we're ever to keep you company. Christal says that that pay bitches and Trump dry pussy up Karen just be killing me. Keep them coming. She is hilarious. I agree, all right, let me play a beat so we can get paid. Uh, because we ain't Joe Rogan. Okay, we don't have any sponsors. I can't tell you this is from Alpha Brain or whatever the fuck, So it's probably from whoever pays for commercials for this and uh, that's based on your algorithm and whatever platform you're listening to. All Right, the next episode is three thousand and six Love Will Humble You.
Man.
I'm still so disappointed in myself because I forgot to hear record on the video and oh my god, this. I don't say this is about show that often, but I mean I believe it. I just don't say it. This is so funny.
It was fun I actually had to go back and listen to this episode.
On the he had such a good time. I had, like the whole thing about Judge. Joe Math is fucking anyway. So three comments here says libertarianism is a fairy tale for people who need an excuse to do nothing or greed. One. A company only interested in short time games doesn't care if it if it's image goes to ship in a year they made their money and are out of here. Two, what about people who died from the product while the company was still learning with the libertarian except it if he was an educational victim or his family. Right, It's just such an abstract, dumb ass white people concept. Like, yeah, so much of so much of economic theory and political theory is just abstract concept that does not take into account. People are people. And I think this week people got slapped in the face of that. And it's interesting seeing what people took as their reaction in response to it, because it's like, so it's so simple, but damn y'all trying to make it. Y'all really trying to move this shell game in front of my face while I go, I guess it's not the racism and the misogyny I thought it was. It must be something else. No, motherfucker, I'm gonna be on your ass dog for the rest of my life. You're fucked up, Ye're knocked up.
I don't want to hear any thing else.
We finally got the cultural experiment that left nothing else on the table. It left no excuse. We finally it finally fucking happened when no other excuse was available for y'all, and you're trying to trot the same lives. I won't let you have it.
I won't.
I won't.
And my thing is, if we're not gonna have a true conversation, don't even talk to me about it.
Yeah, we will not have it. Oh oh that just reminded me. I don't think I was according this one. Ah shit.
But then it didn't matter if I went out screening not.
Oh my god, I just had. I just started recording it. Oh my god, you want to start to show over? What the fuck?
So I need to remember to look down the corner.
If I don't see the I rece i'll stop it, like, ay, right, record, you hit the record button too, right?
I guess I can. Okay, okay, So.
By between one of us, we're gonna figure it.
Yees, Between one of us, we're gonna be consistent.
It's nothing funny what said until now? So it's fine, it's good. Uh, they'll use these clips later, all right. Anyway, I'll try to remember that when I send them the ship. So from here on out, let's be funny.
Uh, let's put out the jokes.
Three. If you open a restaurant somewhere in a racist place and called it restaurant for whites only. I can see it being successful and evil, maybe even attract terror from other places. It wouldn't be big enough to build a franchise, I hope, but could do enough damage by existing in one place only. So No, I don't believe in liberal liberalism libertarianism. The closest I come to it is about drugs. But I see that maybe I, as a big farmer person with the liability to understand how drug really works and the body could judge the risk reward ratio, but the eighteen year old high school student couldn't. Is my liberty worth his harm? Probably not. I'm still planning on doing psychedelic drugs when I retired. This is my goal for my older self. You need something to look forward to now. It's not the time DJ nine thirty six is. I always thought it was America's most wanted guy voice. Oh that dude, that that that condescended black AI guy. Leaylow says, I hadn't read that particular AI voice is condescending, but whenever I hear it, there's a ninety nine point nine percent chance whatever it's saying, it's some bullshit yes, I've tested this hypothesis out and I've been challenging other people to do it too. That nigga sounds condescending, and that's part of the reason that it be saying bullshit.
Yes it, but like you're going to get healthy.
Here's some juices and berries, and if you take these juices and berries, you too, you might.
What They also write stuff in that voice that makes it sound worse, like the with that commercial I played y'all where he's talking about erecti dysfunction pills. There's lines in there that are those lines in there where it's just like, so they don't want you to get this type of drug, So you just go to this website and you click it. It's only forty five cents up here, and boom there you go.
I'm like, who talks like that?
Why is boom there you go in the fucking commercial? That's not You wouldn't put that in commercial for serious anyway.
A right.
The poll is AI voices and commercials. I like them, I find them annoying ninety six percent. The audist thinks they're annoying, so I think I'm on the something four percent says they like them. Comments on YouTube JV City says hard Emoji and swapping Pee says, I don't know that black voice sounded a bit like Michael Eric Dyson and me. It could be cousins with Michael. They didn't sound enough. It would have been using a lot bigger vocabulation's words to sell us that. But I do hear the little bit of that inflection. But that is what I'm talking about. That inflection that he has, That smart brother inflection was like I did not sleep with that white woman. But he just slowed it down to be like generic agro is not for the I can see it. You're not You're not far off. You want something, uh three thousand and seven Election night anxiety. We got seven comments on This is when we decided to go live. We knew everybody was dealing with their own levels of anxiety, because once you do, all your shit is out of your hands.
Chat.
Yeah.
I did my part of the group project.
And it was like a lot of y'all probably sitting around watching uh TV and filling scrolling your doom scrolling and feeling uh impotent. In this moment, It's like, come hang out with us for a couple of hours, maybe get your mind off of it. There's nothing we can do but wait together.
True, and then we can do but wait.
Voting night in America feels like being in the hospital waiting room for a loved one.
It does.
You were like, Lord, is the is the patri you're gonna survivor? U is that gonna die? And also, uh, I think for me personally, particularly being down south and particularly being in the state. I'm gonna tell y'all right now, two and a half year because they started like two years prior to election day is when they start. That's when people start announcing and running. They start chopping people down and shit like that, and you narrow it down. So about two years to a year, particularly down here, we are fucking bombarded. By the time election time come. I am fucking exhausted, y'all. Like, I'm so got theamn tired, Like I'm always tired. After the election, I'm like I've had it. I'm tired of got them commercials. I like, I'm like I need a break, regardless of what the outcome is. I always feel, like you said, it's like waiting for a low one to see h if the doctor gonna come out of the office and tell you you survived or either the patient died and you're like, well, I'm tired of waiting two years to learn.
And there's nothing you can do about it. Just this is just tired. It's just hard. Dexter says, good day, family. I'm not a frequent writer, but a diligent listener. I appreciate your comments regarding anxiety, as I was unable to sleep last night, running wast worst case scenarios in my head. Listen to my heart pounding in my chest. Your words gave me solace. Nothing has changed since yesterday. I can't speak to the future as that as it happened yet, so I'm trying not to energize anxiety. I'm not happy, but I'm not blaming the Dems for this one either, as you predicted rod Out from the word work come to roaches, blaming everyone but themselves if they didn't vote for them, or the minorities, or commaly if they did. This country consistently shows us what it is and this is just another example of the misogyny, the bigotry, and the hate that it thrives on. My parents are older, so I won't leave no idea where it would be safe from here anyway. My wife deals with anxiety, so she's completely tapped out, no idea what's coming. But I refuse to allow us to change me. I'll slink back to the shadows now, continue to listen. Y'all. Was amazing podcast. You're a bright spot through all this darkness. Thank you both for what you do. Apologies for the long message. PS Honey, Crisp apples are still better than Granny Smith's. Lol. Love y'all, why would you end it with such This is a time when we we need unity, need to come together. Fro you dividing? Why would you do that?
Apple divide? And I see you.
We didn't need to know anything about your apple prefaces. Okay, those apples, both of those apples are great, but I just like grand the spills better. I'm sorry they didn't mean let you down, but yeah, man, I think everyone needs to take tom you know how a long to take because I really feel like it's a slap in the face. I really feel like, if you're however you're feeling coming out of this, uh, I think you should prioritize that. I ain't really judging nobody right now. Everybody's spending a lot of time fighting each other and judging. I really ain't got no judgments on anybody, uh as far as their emotional reaction to it, I think I am judging the reasoning. So if you don't want to say what we just witnessed and what I believe it was, I'm judging that. If you're gonna tell me you're gonna piss in my face and tell me it's raining, or I'm judging. But if you just want to be like dog, I A'm dejected. You know, some people are using comedy and humor, some people are using rage, some people are venting, some people are sad, some people are depressed, some people are leaving Twitter, some people are you know, they're like, I'm done with activism. I'm done with trying to save these white people from themselves, and I'm done with politics. I don't I'm not policing anyone's reactions right now because people need a fucking time out, need a break. I don't think anybody wants to hear that fucking Rod Rod Sis boom By coach speak right now. And we'll get to that in a second, because I think somebody left a comment like that on our YouTube. Might Nigga don't talk to me, but it's I understand everybody's reaction. People need some time, and I don't know what the next thing is, what solutions are gonna present themselves with, survival tactics are gonna happen for folks. So I'm not gonna I'm not prescribing anything to anybody. It's just it is what it is. It fucking kind of sucks, and it's okay to feel that way.
Yes it is.
It's okay to sit in those feelings. It's okay to allow yourself to feel these emotions because for some people, these have been bottled up emotions that they have not been able to express for a very very long time, particularly people that have had to go into office and be on our coworkers just deal with the just silly shitting person. Having a privilege of working from home, I didn't really have to deal with that part of it, you know type of thing. And so you know, for a lot of people, they go, hey, I need some time, because even for me, I actually need some time. I'm sitting in my thoughts more often and digesting things and feeling things and trying to determine what I would like to do next.
How I would like to.
Handle things and what I what effort I'm willing and not willing to do next time.
Yeah, this wasn't supposed to happen this way. America lied and let us down. I mean, the best case scenario is actually one where it's conspiratorial eyes. But the best case scenario would be she actually won. Some sort of voting manipulation happened that made it seem that she lost. This election actually technically is stolen somehow, and they're working to get to the bottom of it, and we just don't know, Like that's the best case and it's far fetching conspiratorial. Don't don't don't think that I'm saying that's what happened, But that's the best case scenario because white white right. We watched record turnout, record sign ups, We watched records, small donations, not just corporate donations, small individual donations. We watched all those zoom calls. We watched the UH, we watched the rallies that were unprecedented in attendance. We watched the DNC. We everything told us that this was going to be a win and should have been a win. Then you got people walking in the booth, and if the results are to believe, we believed, which I don't have any I don't believe in the results. But if the results are to be believed, what I then have to believe is that white people and Latino men, these are the results walked in that booth, voted Democrat down ballot, but could not bring themselves to vote for a black woman. Those are the results I'm seeing in all these states now. Honest to God, I'd love for us to find out the shit was stolen. I'd love that because I would actually have a little more faith in my country and my fellow citizens. I'd be like, maybe you know I was wrong about y'all, y'all cat Bullet doing the right shit, even when it's a black woman. Y'all were able to stomach and suck that that poison that you've been that massage, no whir y'all have been in doctrinating. Y'all was able to suck that down. And I know y'all ain't like it, but y'all was able to go. She the only one with a plan and this motherfuckers, why the skype do that?
You always turn it off and turned it right back on on it didn't it?
What the fuck was that?
This guy? What the fuck was that?
I literally I watched it be do not disturb.
Earlier anyway, this guy was like, bitch, you ain't gonna hang.
Up on me. I hang up on you. I literally I turned it on early to avoid this. Anyway, God, sorry about that.
I'm sorry about the personal calls.
But anyway, my point being, fuck I lost some But yes, my point being like I wish, I want to believe that it wouldn't. It would warm my heart if I mean, you got now till January, right, it will warm my heart if at some point that was like, actually, guys, low key, we've been investigating and the machines was Tampa waiting Russia. I hacked the election. God, I would love that. Oh h y'all don't understand the relief on my heart that would be because I would really I would cry if I found that out, because I said, fuck, at least it was stolen.
That's how fucked up shit is in America.
I could go at least at least they stole it, right, like people knew the right thing, not enough, but but it happened. People knew the right thing and it stole it. What I have to believe right now is something way more insidious. In my state, Democrats went almost every single seat except Tricia Cocktam's seat, and there were like two judges. They voted Democrat in every other race except for Kamla Harris. So what am I to believed? None of the other people was black women that won. They seis I have to believe they said, I want freedom, I want good government, I want competence unless it's from that black woman, then I don't want it. I want Donald Trump. And so that is damning, and that is the soul of American You cannot undo that what I saw and learned. But yeah, so him Dell says, I didn't watch anything elections later after I voted early Tuesday morning, I didn't know until around nine am on the six about the election results or for president. Sadly, I'm unsurprised that racism, big intry sexism, and white privilege continue to be on full display for all the world to continue to see. In the US, I've watched an experience firsthand this level of deeply entrenched ignorance be the order of the day for my entire adult life as a black citizen. In the US. I heard of people second hand, mind you, who are telling me they knew people that as leaders of eleven five twenty twenty four were on the fence about who to vote for. And I immediately felt rage. You're not on the fence. You are dumb. And I continue to want nothing to do with these people. Too many ignorant, uninformed, irresponsible people are allowed to engage in this voting process. I'm sick of it. I lay this upcoming presidencyd to feed the white people exclusively and unequivocally as the majority in the US. Yeah, yeah, and honestly and marginalized people that want to be white. They helped this shit alone. People that think it's attainable, that's about to find out that it's not.
At you, just like they look at the rest of us.
Do when to find out? Phase, y'all don't fucked around. Shoe Boody says, what unhealthy coping mechanism are we doing today? Online shopping, abusing drugs and alcohol or stress cleaning? Perhaps all three sprinkled a little bit of holiday decorating Christmas tree we did, and I was like, I'm likeing this bitch up, and I do have drugs in here. So yeah, that's a good idea. Maybe I should do some drugs.
Saying.
I don't even know how to say it, but like it was devastating and I was definitely affected and sad in the next day. But I meant what I said on that podcast, y'all, my soul is free. I did everything I was supposed to do, and many of y'all listening to the sound of my voice, y'all did everything y'all was supposed to do. I would be damned if I'm fitting to carry around any of the way of this with me. I told y'all, motherfuckers, exactly how it would go, and I told y'all, motherfuckers, is exactly what we should do. I saw someone sent me a video today. I didn't even hit play on it. I didn't turn the volume up, I hit play. I just slipped at the words. Someone sent me a video today and it was people that were in the.
What was it?
I forget what that party is called, like undeclared un It was like people created this movement wherever it was like, we will not say we're voting for Kamala Harris and his cousin Palestine. I forget what it's called, like the unsuthing movement, and.
She was committed, uncommitted, Thank you baby, thank you.
He she lost. So now they're making videos and TikTok's crying.
Because they thought she was gonna win, just like with Hillary Clinton. They thought the perk and and and see that's just like not to get off top. But that's it. That's the bullshit that pissed me.
Off when motherfuckers was playing playing, playing right in my goddamn because so many people earned my vote. Now this other bullshit, because y'all thoughts she was gonna goddamn win, so you didn't take the bullshit seriously. So now you houlled out about Palestine and shit like that, for the fact that she allowed y'all to protest in her mother fucking face and didn't say, get the hell out of here. For the fact that she heard y'all out matters that bullshit matters, like that shit matters all the other bullshit. Y'all bowed up, and she was basically telling y'all Trump gonna make it worse, and y'all like, no, bitch, we gonna hold you accountable.
I'm gonna tell you right now, you know what went away, Jill Stein. You know what went away? Undecided voters. You know what went away? The motherfucking box. You know what went away? Palestine? You know what went away?
All the bullshit did y'all claim mattered? Did y'all claimed mattered? All that bullshit went away? Because it didn't matter. It was a delay tactic. It was a distraction to keep you away from from what the real point of.
This election was.
Everybody's god damn freedom and right was on the motherfucking line, your right to stand in front of her face and say, bitch, I don't like you.
Fuck you. That right right there is gone.
Yeah, Cornell, Cornell West is gone. He had.
Where's he at? Where's ice cubit?
Where are these motherfuckers to be coming out of the windworks every fucking four years?
That's the ship that pissed me off, and also for me too.
I also blamed the media for the fact that y'all had time to write all these bullshit ass articles about Biden and all these bullshit ass articles about about the Democrats and all this shit, and didn't do the same thing to the other side when they was fucking up. For the fact that y'all didn't talk about how these motherfuckers was was was not getting money down ballot and ship like that. Y'all didn't cover that bullshit. And the thing is, y'all gonna lose y'all rights. Y'all not gonna be able to cover shit like y'all supposed to. Y'all not gonna be able to do this. Did this journalistic investigation like you're supposed to. Are y'all gonna be out on the street, y'all gonna get y'all asses whooped too. Now they're gonna that's y'all motherfuckers now too. But y'all didn't educate the public. Y'all didn't tell people what was on the line. Y'all fucked around, and now y'all rights are gonna be taken away. So I don't want to hear anything from the media when the media come and say, we can't talk about this, we can't talk about that, we're scared for our lives.
Y'all cover shit about other countries.
I listen to y'all motherfuckers when y'all talk about these other countries, how journalists are, how journalists are getting arrested, how jentlemists are getting killed, in the street, how the dictators tell them what they can and cannot say, how they can't cover shit, how they're scared, how they're sneaking information out of that country so that people.
Can find out what's going to go on there. That shit is getting ready to happen here.
And I put it after y'all motherfucking feet, because y'all jobs are to educate the public. Your job is to tell people and drum and drum and drum and tell people this is not a motherfucking game. Your job is not to tell me how Biden a cough one time and it's the motherfucking end of the world.
That's not your job.
Y'all. Job is not to give me false news that black men are gonna vote for Trump.
That shit is like, yes, that's motherfucking lies.
That's the shit that's pressing me off about this motherfucking election.
That's what's making me mad. That's what the an On top of that, I bring the populist too. I blame the populist for believe in a box. I blame the propertist for that. I blame the populist a.
Big way because the thing is, we went through this one time.
I remember remember, remember.
Y'all, don't motherfucker thought it was a gang?
I didn't, yep.
And then and what's crazy is like they spend all this time being like, we have to hold Democrats account we have to hold Kamala Harris accountable, we have to what do we what's the plan to hold her accountable? What is the plan to hold Trump accountable? What's the plan? He's now the leader of the free world, this is country now. He got the he definitely got the Senate. He probably has a house, I know. I don't know if they've ever finalized those talies yet, but if he has the House, the Senate, Scotus and obviously the President office, what is the plan exactly how it's gonna save all the causes you told me we were supposed to be concerned about to the point of making Kamla lose. I would love to know what the plan is now, because what I don't give a fuck about, and that I don't want to see your tears. I don't care. You have made me cold. I care. I care, And I'm not saying this lightly and I'm not saying this is a joke. I'm not doing this performative I've seen people making jokes. I'm gonna call ice on y'all. I'm not I'm not even making those type of jokes, So I think that's callous and I'm not that kind of person. I wouldn't do that. I'm not gonna say anything in anger that I wouldn't say seriously. But if you think I'm about to be reading articles about I voted for Trump and now I can't get an abortion and I might die in my state, If you think I'm gonna read that shit and do anything more than keep scrolling, don't know what to tell you. Dog, you wanted this, if you if you wanted this, and if you didn't want it, you wouldn't listen to those of us that told you that's not gonna get you what you want?
Right?
You know those emails we got months ago? You know, I still remember that sister from Africa that wrote us like, how can you do da? Da? Da?
Now?
You know how don't you? I don't want I didn't want you to find out this way. I didn't want you to have to see in real time the ugliness of America. But it played out exactly as I told you it would. I forget the name of the episode. But I remember that sister wrote in it was like, you know, I'm having trouble struggling with the morality, and I told you America is an empire, is a heist. It is an imperialistic entity. All we get to really do is control who's at the helm and try to mitigate harm. You are about to see unmitigated harm, right. And And the part that no one wanted you to to have to really explain, the part you couldn't maybe understand, is that it was a privilege and a luxury for a lot of Americans to care about issues that did not affect them directly. Under Joe Biden, it was a privilege. There were people who were more concerned about another country because they were eating well, they were making wages. Inflation was up, but wages were up. You know, gas came back down. Like there were people who didn't you didn't even know it was a privilege. They didn't even know it as a privilege.
It was.
So it's such a given under democratic presidents that people's needs are being met, that the government is doing its job, that people start to want more. There's nothing wrong with want more. We should want more. But then we take it for granted. What is about to happen is that those people that were making tiktoks about countries they don't live in are about to be making tiktoks about their country. They're about to be talking about their causes. You gonna have people that's like, I'm trains and I live in America. Yeah, I feel bad for the genocide in Palestine, but niggas a genocide on me. Now you're gonna have black people that was black activist that was talking to these issues that are about to either quit because a lot of them are just going away because the white people money ain't coming in. They're either gonna quit or they're just gonna start talking about just black issues in America. Like I, Donald Trump took away this thing. The public education system is gone. This is what is about to happen. You're about to see what like you thought it was selfish before, you're actually about to see survival. And if that was your goal to be like y'all should have to be put in a place of survival too, then you got what you want it and now your thing is off the table for everybody. No one's going to give a fuck about this it's gonna go out fashion. And that is before you get to the quite obvious delusion, which is a lot of shit was was psyops by Russian and online campaigns, and the fact that there are people that lost thousands of followers on social media yesterday because someone clicked the switch off and said a mission accomplished, who got the election? You could turn off the fucking Ukrainian bot that says, hey, they giving money to Ukraine. But how come they ain't give money? It's not no water in Flint or whatever the fuck the robot keep telling y'all that you gonna notice them. Responses are gone, the amount of like trash comments that are no longer on people's tweets and replying to everybody that shit is real and it happened, and a lot of people got taken by it. And it's sad because those of us who saw through it, those of us who talked about it, got demonized. We got we were told we didn't really care, we were told we were the problem. Well now you're fucking crying and I don't give a fuck, and I don't and there's nothing I can do for you. I was doing what I could do for you so Kamala Harrison is accountable. Now, guess what, Kamla Harrison is a rich, attractive lady who is who's gonna go on to be fine for the rest of her life. What oh did she learn? No, bitch, we're learning. We're all learning together. She can go, she can go move out of the country tomorrow and be like, I fuck these people. I'm in France. I tried to help them. I had a bunch of plans. I tried to signal that I was gonna be a better president for future issues. They didn't they didn't want that. That's not good enough. Cool didn't get some Trump. You know, don't call me in four years to save you. That's fucked up. Like, that's on y'all, niggas. I you have made me cold. You have made us cold, and that's that's fucked up. You took away the thing that was that was here to save you. You know, you're the people on the roof. That's like, God, God save me. And here's come a boat. I know, boat, God come down to save me. Here's a helicopter. I need God to come save me. Nigga. I sent the helicopters, I sent the boat. What the fuck that's us now we're stuck on the roof. Agreed.
And also, I think for me and like you said, people are going to find out how much black people, particularly black women, how much they did for the Democratic Party.
They're getting ready to find out that.
When I say the backbone, I mean the backbone, because the Democratic the women of the Democratic Party, they're doing the minutia shit that nobody really wants to do.
A lot of black women in.
Their counties and cities and states all across the country, they do a lot of grunt work. And when I mean grunt work, they're the ones that's just knocking door to door in the ghettos and in black impoverished area. They're the ones that's resisting new voters. They're the ones that's going out here holding classes in the communities and educating people. They're the ones that telling people about the laws. They're the ones that taking people's to the polls. They're like like like like they're there. They are literally doing the work that that that that even people in their own party won't give them the money nor the funding to do.
They'll be like, y'all do it, y'all.
All types of organizations that are getting ready to disappear and no longer exist, that educate people, then help people, not only black people, just pour people, but you know, most people that I pour in this country are white. Show you the truth, you know, but everybody benefits from the work that they do.
Honestly, though, like I said this that, you know, the day we talked about Biden stepping down, and I mean, I was gonna say, I hate to keep doing this, but honestly, just today's the day to do it, right. I don't want to have to do this for the rest of my life, but I will if I have to. But but the point being I said on that show that if Biden steps down, it needs to be Kamala Harris. And if it's Kamala Harris, white people better not let us down because this moment, to me, is irredeemable and it is unforgiven, and it broke the party. They don't even know they broke it. They're still writing articles like it's a normal election that they lost. They don't know because they're not black, and the black people they've hired to tell them Black opinions are just a fucking mirror. They're just telling these white people what the fuck they want to hear so they keep their job. They don't have not one real nigga in that building. That'll do you like, Oh you think you think we just gonna do it again? You think so you just think, Oh, no, what we need to do. We get some target points and we get a coalition together and we just build it. Bitch, No one's no one's.
Coming, nobody's coming. Y'all got it?
Like all you did was spinning the face. The betrayal that this is to the backbone of the Democratic Party is un forgivable. The damage is irreparable. Yeah, because you've told black women directly to their face, it's not because of who you are, not you, not you. They don't even understand saying to someone like Kamala Harris, we don't know you. Saying that to her when what you do know about Trump made you pick Trump or made you okay with Trump. That's more insulting than saying the reason we're not picking you is because we personally do know you and we don't like the things you stand for. That would be better. It would be better if they said, you know what the real problem was, it's Kamala Harris as a person. I don't like. She said this, this and this and those are things I don't like. They never had a thing, they just like, Look, I don't know her. She's only she's telling me she's gonna help me buy a house. But I don't know her. I don't know her. First of all, you do, fuck you know her as much as any of these other motherfuckers. So that's a goddamn lie calling you bullshit. But the second thing is you're definitely knew Trump. You're definitely knew Trump. It's it's what you So the thing you did know about her for many of you is she's a black woman. She's a black and Indian woman. If it was real, deep into it, and that was enough for you to not pull that lever. So yeah, it's unforgivable. You can't you can't take it back, you can't fix it. And you're gonna see it when the phone calls ain't flooding, when the lines ain't donating, when the motherfuckers ain't showing up at the meeting. If this is this is the other problem they have, If this is a losing campaign, If what you're telling me is what I watched and what I witnessed with Kamala Harris was a losing Democratic presidential candidate. You can't convince me that any of these people can be winners because I saw her rallies, I saw the donations I saw I saw the new registration sign up, I saw voter turnout in the early voting being record levels. How can anyone feel that that's safe again? You went too far, meaning that whatever the next candidate you're telling me, like, no, we gotta get behind Gretchen Whitmer and Gavin Newsom. What's gonna convince me they can win? Or what they got? Record donations? Kamla had record donations, Oh they had. Look at the turnout at their rallies. Kamla had turned out at her rallies. Well, look at the DNC. It went off crazy. Everybody loved it. Everybody loved Kama at the DNC. Well, look at the celebrities as a partner, everybody celebrities supporting. Nothing you will ever do for the rest of life will convince me that y'all can win. So you have lost something that is stronger than anything. The only thing that will make Democrats win in America is a Trump presidency, because that's when y'all decide to get off your asses whenever shit gets bad because you got what you wanted, you chase the car and then don't have nothing to do with us. You chase the car, you find what the fuck you want? You like, Oh shit, the car hit me in the teeth. I gotta fix this. I guess I'm gonna vote Democrats. Now, that's what y'all do Trump George W. Bush twice, Ronald Reagan twice. This is what the fuck y'all do. Y'all do this, y'all had to go Ronald Reagan twice to George W. Bush thousand points of like fucked up taxes, made shit, terrible, drugs all on the street, and then y'all like, I guess we'll get this to a Democrat.
That's what y'all do.
So it really ain't got shit to do with us. We don't make up that percentage of the elector anyway, when we was doing a lot more to motherfucking work than y'all motherfuckers do.
Yeah, they took it for granted, like and also that you know what's getting ready to happen. What's getting ready to happen is several things is getting to happen is a lot of black people are like, I ain't doing the bare minimum, and you know what the bare minimum is voting. I'm not doing no phone banks, I'm not doing no emailing. I'm not going to the door like they're getting ready to be like they'll be like, damn, you've been doing this for twenty five years of Gertrude That and Gotr're gonna be like, yeah, now like what you're gonna do.
I'm gonna vote. You're gonna give me time of money. No, don't call me for shit, don't call me. And the money that I'm donating going to black folk them the people I know that give a fuck about me, that that that actually affect my community. So the money's gone, the time is gone. Fuck you niggas. What the fuck y'all want us to do?
Dog?
We told you it's It reminds me of that clip Sneika Martin green uh uh beautiful Lady in Star Trek Discovery as I think Michael I forget her last Michael bernhal uh that when she's in the first season and the ship is fucked up and she's yet she and they and the and the crew don't understand, and they're fucking up and she's like, I'm trying to save you. That is what this election was like. It was Kamala Harrison Michael Burnhal saying, I'm trying to save you.
Y'all fucked this off.
Y'all fucked this off, like Joe Biden having to step down all this shit, like you just needed a person to step in and try to fucking save you from yourselves, and you don't want to be saved, can't save them, so you just gotta sit back and be like, all right, so we back to saving just us, like we saving ourselves individually. This is the worst case scenario, but it is the case for survival for people. I'm not about to go through Project twenty twenty five worried about some niggas that don't live here. I'm not even about to worry about some people that don't live in this house. You know what I'm saying. What they clanning to do with this Project twenty twenty five, Shit, it's not all gonna affect me. But I'm only looking out for me and mine and my peoples that is in community with me, people that showed up for themselves and for others. That's what I'm looking for. I'm not looking out for no motherfucker. You from some state and you think Donald Trump not gonna deport or denaturalize you, so you voted for him because he thinks he just gonna get rid of the bad brown people. But you brown, and now he's coming for you. Brother, I don't have time for that. Good luck with whatever's happening to you, because they got plans for all of us, So I'm gonna have to deal with the shit they got for me. And now you're fighting a battle on many fronts. There's no unity, there's no coalition. And I don't want to hear the rallying cry three four years from now when y'all come time and tell me that some white person, because that's what the fuck is gonna have to be, some white person is gonna save us with democracy, I don't want to hear it.
Yeah, I don't want to hear the two things all y'all did was show the populace that all these hopes and dreams, particularly the far far, far far far left. All y'all show people was that none of that shit could ever come true.
And so you know all this we you know, want to get rid of the cops and all this, you know, different things that y'all want to do.
It's not happening because if you want these things to happen, you want this utopia, you need to put politicians in place where people don't have things to worry about so then they could get to your beautiful utopia. If you're not willing to do that, people are going to go into survival mode and they're gonna be like, fuck you and no.
Wild they ass dreams. Let's just keep that real.
And uh, it's one of these things where you show people and people can feel how they want to feel about this. And but but I'm gonna say and I'm gonna set up my motherfucking chest and there's nothing anybody can say in or do to change my mind. I never thought Joe Biden should have stepp down. I don't give a fuck. I don't give a goddamn fuck. This man couldn't open to the fucking door. This man is a dumb ass, He's an idiot.
I don't care. I don't I don't care.
Who you're talking about Trump?
Yeah, yeah, you like like like I like, I don't care that that door. Yes, yes, yes, this man didn't. He's a bubbling fucking fool. They were too old man, two old men at each other from the goddamn beginning. Biden goes up there has a moment, and everybody fucking panics.
I get it. I get the panic in y'all, like like, I'm not saying that you shouldn't have panicked.
I get it.
But at the same time, look at the other motherfucker, and I am of the belief did it always had to be a white man? Off?
I'm just gonna keep that real. I always believe did it had to be a white man?
Off?
I always thought anybody else is going to mother fucking loke k?
And I will never get off of that.
Yeah, you know what's crazy? They made us feel crazy.
They really did.
Like they made us we know the soul of this country, right, they made us, Yes, they made us think we were fucking crazy to be like y'all won't vote for anybody but a white man? And they really did that. Like and it, I mean to a point where I get it, because the thing about a candidate is this belief. And if white people are telling me we no longer will believe in Joe Biden. Then I have to assume he would have lost. I'm not gonna just say coming out of this let I'm not finna have given them no faith and be like y'all would have done it. Y'all would have came through for Joe. No, y'all weren't gonna come through for Joe too, Like I think he would have lost to Trump this time because they had decided, fuck it, we're not that scared of Trump no more. This ain't no Like I said, this wasn't about Kamala. She ran a great campaign. This ain't about her. So I have to believe at the end of the day, it's not really about Joe Biden. It's just y'all got comfortable and y'all was like, I mean, if we don't get something perfect, we can just go back to Trump.
Fuck it, right.
So I don't think like I take them at their word that they were out on Biden. I don't think that's a manufactured thing. I think we would have went to the boat and booth a lot less than would have showed up for Biden than they would have before, because I don't think they're scared of Trump. I think many white people are like end of the day, Trump, for me, ain't ain't really gonna hurt me. What he's saying, he's trying to hurt other people. Now, is he gonna hurt him? Yah, he gonna hurt them. They just ain't. But their privilege is not thinking far enough to go. Well, then it's gonna suck up some shit for me too. They going. I don't know. He seems mad at these brown people and trans people and women. None of them are me, you know, So I'm not I'm not convinced that it's so simple as like, yeah, bottom would have one period.
But but.
I I did say, and we both felt, are y'all gonna show up for this black woman? Yes?
Baby?
And that's my point, and I'm gonna keep it. I'ma okay, tell y'all how I really feel for me. If Biden would have lost, I would have felt some form of a disappointment, don't get me wrong, But at least I know where it had been a motherfucking white man off and I know more white people would have still voted for him even though he would have lost.
I'm gonna keep it. Your eye would have been satisfied with that.
What I would say this I don't think there's no way to say, I don't think you're wrong. I put it that way. I don't think you're wrong. I'm not saying I don't know put it this way. I don't know that he would have won, but he I don't know he would have lost. I like my assumption is he probably would have lost just because of how the drain on it, which just kept growing, it just kept growing. It's like they had decided he was not going to be running, and that was not a decision that people were really fighting. Only black people fought that decision, and they made us feel crazy because they're innate. Belief in their decency as white voters won't allow them to accept the truth, which is that we chose Joe Biden in South Carolina in twenty twenty because we knew them. I said, y'all won't even vote for a white woman, right, the most accomplished candidate y'all have ever had, which would be a step forward for white women in America. It would be a representative landslide victory for Democrat, for democracy, and to say, even America, you gonna have to be a woman to be president. And y'all said, fuck that bitch. We don't like that bitch. She mindless of her mama, of my mama. He said, huh, all right, well, here's this white man, this old white man who's doddering and misspeaks all the time, and y'all, y'all just don't really seem to care who ran the middle of the road centrist campaign. Y'all didn't really seem to give a fuck about that. Uh, we think y'all will vote for him over this other white man because y'all love white man so much. Y'all voted for Trump. All he is is a white man. He's not good at anything. And y'all went, yeah, you're damn right. Let's give us some Joe. Highest turnout of all time, right, So now y'all off Joe. And it becomes okay, Well, the only reasonable choice right now is with one hundred days out, is a black this black vice president. She's a black woman. And they made us feel crazy. They went, rod, of course we're gonna vote for the black woman. Why wouldn't. I'm a problem with her. No, we just need to get by enough ticket. I'm like, you sure, because y'all only really seem to go up for white men. Even when you hate white men, right, even when you think they're they're terrible, y'all still will go vote for them and be like, yeah, he's terrible, but he's a white guy, and I can see him being president.
Agreed.
And we're like, y'all don't normally feel this way about black women. They say, well, we learned from Hillary. Okay, this is different. We got one hundred days. We just need to put that. And then you went in that fucking booth and you voted Democrat everywhere but for her.
A right, baby, What am I supposed to take from this? And and like I said, I I will not change my mind on this.
And there's nothing anybody can say this country only wants white people to be president.
And I was saying, and I will stand on it.
In other parts of the country called niggas down here koons, and they act like something's motherfucking wrong when we said Joe Biden. And I think the biggest thing about Joe Biden stepping down is that the voters voted for him, and I did not get to say so. I did not want him to step down. I feel like this. I feel like Joe Biden's presidency was stolen from me, Like me personally, I can't speak for nobody else. I feel like it was stolen from me. I voted for that man. I wanted that man in office. I wanted him to run again. I didn't give a fuck about the other side. Because there's a fucking shit show over there. Both of these niggas is old. So let the old man have an old man white man off.
So now the person that I voted vote the person that I wanted, the person that I didn't want to step down was forced to step down because y'all got scared. That's not my fault. That's not my fault. That's not my fault, yep.
And I don't want to hear any counter arguments to the shit because we were right. So what are we doing, Like whatever fucking machination you're coming up with your brain to justify this shit? In hindsight, we lost, so you were Now you can feel strongly the other way, but you don't have any facts to back you up. End of the motherfucking day. Everything you said was supposed to be smooth and go, and this is gonna be the chance, and this is how we're gonna win. What's wrong because your fellow citizens, many of them white or Latino men. I don't want to forget y'all. Y'all getting y'all shout out, meant y'all winning that booth, and said, I can I like the Democrats, just not her. I can't hand this black woman be in charge of everything. And from this point on, you should be listening to us. Now you won't because you're in on individual person and you're gonna rationalize this shit some other way. You're gonna tell me it's about the economy or some other inflation, like black people don't deal with inflation or the economy, or being working class when eighty percent of us, eighty five percent of us showed up and voted Democrats. But but but somehow the working class just white people that don't want to vote for us Democrats now or actually don't want to vote for Democrat president because y'all did vote for Democrat bound ballot. So you're gonna come up with excuses and rationalizations. And I think, because we know y'all so well, what you're really about to understand is the silence is gonna be us saying, oh, we don't give a fuck anymore. YEP, Like it's not gonna like they're waiting on us to come through and like whether it's yell at them, organize, tell them how we getting this shit back? What they waiting on? Some look like cause this when they turn to us, like lead us. We fucked up, y'all? Can you can you fix it? And I'm telling you you ain't. You don't hold your breath because it's like, oh nah, you can't accept a truth. There's nothing more powerful about There's nothing more powerful than a truth. A person won't tell themselves and that is what America is doing. America won't tell itself a truth that there are just white people in this country who are racist and misogynistic. And they don't want any of the lies that they're telling you. They wanted these interviews. They don't want someone talking about the economy. That's a lie. They don't want somebody telling them about international politics. That's a fucking lie. They don't want someone uh uh that it's not that they don't know the candidate. You froze again. Yeah, I'll come back, okay, because you be on screen on my side, like anyway, all right, we gotta get a a second then, But yeah, it's a fucking lie. They don't want the things that they're telling you that they want, And as long as you act like that's what's happening, it's holding us all back. And I think a lot of us are just tired of that. It's like, oh, we're good then, you know, now you're on screen twice by the way.
Yeah.
And also I think for me, what was.
Even extra more insulting was, Okay, I felt like the person that I elected for president was stolen from me. Cool, Okay, So now y'all saying we're gonna go for the black person. They was like, yeah, yeah, yeah, kN okay, we got scared. We gonna find somebody replace him. I was like, and that took me a while to get over, y'all. So I said, okay, cool, cool, Cool, y'all gonna find somebody replace him. It better be the vice president because anybody else I'm gonna be angry.
Okay.
So y'all got her up there and and I'm like, okay, I'm gonna I'm going to support whoever the Democratic candidate is. And I was like, yeah, I'm gonna give, I'm gonna donate, I'm gonna do this, and I hope that she wins. I hope that y'all didn't lie to me, you know what I'm saying. But I always knew that the outcome could go the other way. But I was like, Okay, I hope that y'all don't lie to me, because to me, her losing is more insulting than body and losing.
In my eyes. I can't speak for nobody else, but for me, it is more insulting.
That is the part that I was alluding to when it's happened, was I said from the beginning, I said, Okay, we're doing this. You understand that this loss is worse than a Biden loss, right, this loss you can't come back from because it's slapping the face the black women, because all you're really saying is we would never vote for a black woman. Agreed, and I got some Look, I got some friends, some really smart black friends, and shit that that that they they have a they they had. You know, I don't know it's gonna sound in something, so I just won't say it. But there's there's a type of person that really does not understand how much credence we give to white folks when we make these arguments about stuff that we just accept them at face value. For and the last time I'm ever accepting white people at face value is when they told me they thought they would vote for Kamala Harris because they're better. She's a better candidate. You don't know yourselves. We do you know you because we have to navigate white supremacy in order to exist in this country. Yes, you don't, so you just you think you are good people. As far as a mass of people that vote, you have not voted for Democrats in mass since the Civil Rights Act passed, basically since black people got the right to vote. You've said, I fuck Democrats. I can't trust the average white face and just go I know that person's on my side. I can't. There's people now that writing these long screams about like you just getting rid of people over politics and shit. I can't trust you because you think politics is just some shit that don't really affect me. You just think it's just like, oh man, my team lost the Super Bowl. That's no bitch, this is about to affect my personal fucking life. So I can't trust you. No one can trust you. And the biggest weakness is that those of you who are good still trust those of you who are not to say no, no, no, no, it was the economy. Oh no, no, no no. What they need is uh, they just need to hear like the message a different way, na, Na. This guy Trump left none of that on the table. There's not an economic message where I go. Fuck that speech he delivered that really did get to the heartst there's none of it. He left none of that for y'all to be able to try to make us go like, oh shit, yeah, I can see what you mean.
Nah.
He was like, it's we gonna get rid of immigrants.
They eating dolls and cats. I'm lying on here. They're killing babies after they're born. He didn't leave a thing for me to give y'all so I could be like, well, shit, if that's that's the gift we've been given through this Trump administration, this Trump election cycle. Is he took away plausible deniability. So I don't want to hear it, and I don't You can you can say it. I'm just not gonna be listening to you and I'm never gonna believe it, and I will always challenge it.
Yeah, And my biggest thing before we move on, and I'm gonna say this and I'm gonna say it with my whole motherfucking chest all you people. And he's God damn hipper Land States, the I out here where y'all always vote blue. Guess what y'all gonna be under Trump rule too, like like like like all these people who we both blew, we always gonna be saved. You know, that's something that always affects the South. We're extra special. Don't know shit, come out here and bother us where y'all can say shit like fuck the South. Y'all can say shit like you know, we don't get we don't get fuck about them people down there. Y'all gonna find out that the South was was was holding this country together more than y'all think it was. And y'all get ready to find out when Trump made these bands for abortion. This shit is affecting y'all too. When Trump sucks up the tax code. This shit is affecting y'all too. When when when Republicans and and and in all these states y'all gonna have, Republicans is getting ready to come.
Through the gonna kicking the door wave in the faux Fo. They getting ready to win.
These people have been out in the boonies and the sticks of some of these goddamn states. Cause I don't care what state you have. You have a lot of states they gonna blue. But you have a lot of counties and districts outside of the big cities that are fucking red. They're red, y'all. They're red because this shit is all across the country. All Trump did was embolding these people in upstate New York. They're emboding these people in upstate California. They emboding these people to come in and say, oh, it's our time to dance. Now, y'all get ready to fill the shit that the South has been goddamn warning y'all about. We've been telling y'all this is not a game, y'all. They've been Jerry Mandarin. They've been fucking shit up were fighting for our lives. And what y'all do High high Hi. Them niggas down south? Why them niggas down south put Joe Biden up there. They don't know what the fuck they're doing. They stupid ass niggas. Well, we about to find out that the stupid ass niggas these countries slang po folks down here. The rest of the country about to find out. What the fuck we've been telling y'all for fucking decades.
I live in this. I'm true to this, y'all. Y'all about to find out.
Any blue ass liberal states y'all gonna look up and y'all got their rights are gonna be gone and it's not.
Gonna be shit. You're gonna do about it, and you can. And what do y'all tell us?
Well, it ain't just move, bitch, Ain't nowhere to move now, y'all tell us pack y'all bags up and move.
Ain't no where to move.
It's all up south. It's all up south. That's all it is. America like, it's all up south, even the states like New York. Every state in America, according to the Final Talies, supposedly every state moved to the right except Colorado. Every state at some point. You just have to say white people wanted this right, you know what I'm saying. Like, and Alicia, don't make this personal. If it don't apply, let it fly. If you not want the people that think this way in the chat, we don't. We're not asking for your personal signifiers. But we don't don't gaslight us either. We've set up here, we listen to other people's podcasts. We've listened to people top about it, We've seen interviews. There's a lot of people who will say stuff like, well, my vote doesn't even count. I live in California, right, And if you've never heard that, that's on you. There's people that say, I'm from New York City. I mean, listen, whatever happens, I know we'll be safe. Yes, what Karen is telling you is those people, if you're not one of them, then you should be agreeing with Karen and be like, oh yeah, I know those motherfuckers too. I've always thought they was crazy. What she's saying is when you watch a state like New York game, I forget the exact amount. It's like, I don't know, I forget whatever amount. But New York went redder. New York went redder this year, meaning people in New York City, even some of them, turned and voted Republican. So this isn't a this isn't a a South problem. And it just don't take much for people to win these lower offices and shit, And those are the people that control your school boards, those people that control your redistrict thing that shit. You know, Cali turned Yeah, like it's like, like I said, people can I know it makes people feel like it's different, But this ain't a personal thing. Karen's giving you facts. They're inconvenient facts. If you don't like how they feel, you don't like how they feel. But you know this ain't about you personally. But it's a lot of motherfuckers that talk like this and Karen saying it is your vote does matter, that that this idea that you safe, You're not safe. You're here what the rest of us? And now you're gonna start to see what it feels like when you're not safe, and those assumptions you made about what must be happening down south, you're about to find out what that feels like. Yeah, I'll never forget that. One of the one of the riots in the North during the Civil War happened in New York City where they went and lynched and killed a bunch of black men. And you go, there's a Civil War and it's New York City. Ain't New York City on the side of the Union. They killed those black people because Abraham Lincoln passed essentially essentially a draft and said, hey, y'all white dudes, y'all got to come down here and joined the military and getting this motherfucking civil war battle, and they were so mad they wouldn't kill black people, innocent black people. It was mind name, motherfucking business. So the idea that New York is different, it's not true. What's what was in New York is that it just wasn't a lot of black people, and they didn't feel the animosity and the encroaching loss of space or whatever that the people in the South felt. Right, but those white people weren't necessarily morally higher ground or better. They were simply not having to deal with it. And once they were told you actually have a responsibility this country and you had to deal with it, some of them went and killed some innocent black men the same way they do in the South. Right, And so that is why Karen's like, it's not just where you're at, you know, it's not just that, like she's just insane. Throughout throughout this country. It is connected. And if you want to take it personal and make it seem like someone's talking directly about you, you're listening to the show, why do you even think we're talking about you? But if you then it just makes it seem like, did you believe this shit? Is that why you're just getting offended by it? No one here said black people in the North don't have roots for the South. All of we're from the fucking South. We know y'all have roots in the South. It's us, you know what I mean, cousins and shit come down from New York to get some black experience. Like nobody's saying that. We're not saying we're not connected. We're saying there are people in other places who have floated out this idea of this disconnective I'm in a safe place and you're in a dangerous place. Yes, if you're not. You know what I mean? Mother? You know how many motherfucking times I've heard someone make a joke as a black person about I'm from the North, but you know, you go down South and it's like blank, And I'm like, is it like stopping frisk right, It's like broken windows policing?
Like what what do you mean?
It's like blank? You're not safe either? Is it like Cali where the where the lapd exists? Like, like, dog, we in this shit together? If you don't see, are we're the ones telling you we in it together?
You know?
I still not the fuck it. I remember listening to twelve and Elon being like, my vote does the count. I'm in California, earned my voter, losing all this shit, and I'm like, your vote count because you're a nigga and you in America, so it count. You don't have to want it to count. It fucking count. And now you look at Cali and it's fucking a lot of it's red. A lot of these counties are red. Apparently your vote count a lot more than you thought, and it's counting more every fucking day because you're about to be in a voting fight for your city, for your country. I know he don't let that no more. But my point being like, that's that's the reality. Anytime you feel safe.
You not right. And and that's kind of my whole point.
And also it's like it's like the South, the whole country has a sickness, and the whole country has a disease. But white people have tricked themselves and they have tricked other people to think that this disease only affects the South, and that this disease never spread, never spread, It sprinkles in the rest of the country. But what people are going to find out is that the disease has always been there. It's been dormant, and disease is getting ready to come out. Racism, misogyny, homophobic, transphobic, anti semitism, The disease has always been in this country. This country was built on hatred, and so what they failed to realize is that it's always been there. And the South has been saying, y'all, we are sick and we need to fix this. In order to fix this, we need to fix the South, and y'all said, fuck it is.
We know we're in a fight down here, right y'all to y'all, Right, y'all, y'all of y'all just have been told or indoctrinated into thinking, y'all not in this fight, that y'all fighting a different fight. And the thing down south you just can't deny as a fight, right, you just can't. It's like the enemy in your face all the fucking time, they got control, you fighting for control. It's you know, the amount of uh, you know, we need to move on because I'm just I don't want to turn this into me shitting on people, and I would like to make this not a four hour show because that we can upload it the YouTube at some point.
No problem. I get it in a one more thing before we go.
It is also for me one of those things to when you look at people and I'm going to watch these people, all these people they was talking about, even on the left, this revolution and all this shit.
Okay, bitch, you ain't got no guns. You don't got no gun.
Y'all running up on the capitol or not?
Right? Are we gonna have a January sixth? If not, I don't wanna hear anything. Y'all got.
Y'all gonna vote like everybody else. Y'all gonna follow the rules like everybody else. Y'all ain't going outside. Bit y'all can't even get y'all to go and motherfucking vote. The fuck you're gonna do a revolution? For get out my whole ass face.
This ain't Hunger Games, right, You ain't cattingus Everdean Joe ass down. You ain't finna do shit, all right, God, I can't. I don't even know how we got on that anyway. Sean says, you had one job of America that was only one legitimate candidate on the ballot. There's no way you can fuck it up, and uh yeah, they did run around for us, says I was switched off completely on Tuesday. I've never tried to recreate the twenty sixteen e spirits all over again. I'm a parent now, advocid to motivate in the morning and be curious about our school days went down in the afternoon. Was I disappointed when I got the news on Wednesday morning? First there was a Senate that reached me before the presidential I just took a deep breath and went about my day. Tried listening to this episode afterward, but by who news, I began to cry. Maybe it was anger, maybe it was frustration, more like disappointment. Thank you to for always being the best podcasts in the world.
I was there with you, brother.
I cried a few tears myself talking with a friend. Uh you know, he was still trying to tell me some economic whatever the fuck reason. I was like, Nigga, I live in a swing state. I saw the ads, I saw the speeches she did talk about those things. I don't know where you're getting your information, probably from these white people that do New York Times shit. These motherfuckers are lying to you, and you need to stop believing them. Yes, sir, they just don't want this nigga at the top of the ticket.
That's it. That's it.
What Josh Stein wasn't the Democrat Josh Stein that won here he didn't know you know what I mean? Jeff Jackson, he a Democrat.
He won.
That's now when it was all my Adams a couple of years ago, she lost. Oh what's the commonality?
They know?
I know what it is, bro, You're not finla. Whatever the percentage is they line to you. It was the economy. Trump adn't kid a fuck or talk about the economy. Fuck out there. Curve Stompers says, long time to listening, first time comment and going in with the mindset that we can protect that what we love and help that things are not screwed up enough in two years to vote them out. We'll see your tune day, says patiently awaiting Karen steaming furnace of rage about this election. My anger has been Simmary, I think you got some.
Got some today.
I'm just don't apologize no matter of fact, moving on, don't even I don't even want to hear apologies. You're totally right and it's justified. And they should hear this shit.
Right, because that's the thing it's being y'all.
Bridget says, I keep missing the live email on YouTube. I don't know what's going on, Bridget. How I look at your settings on crowdcasts email crowdcast. We don't control that, but if you're not getting the crowdcast alert, then you need to contact crowdcasts. We can't do anything. Other people are getting it because they're in the chat right now. And I know one day it just wasn't working, but it's back the working. It's been working.
Yeah.
And also they have an app for Android too, So if you have Android and you like I want to see the show live and I'll want it on my phone, I'll get the Android app to z mom.
Harp says, you guys were smart not to watch. Thank you. Beyonca says, as happy as you guys are not to receive text anymore, we're equally as happy not to send them anymore. The things people said to us from doing our jobs was frightening. I just wish they helped. Yeah, and thank you for your work. Thank you, Beyonca. Alesco says this has to be the saddest episode of the Blackout. Tips this ain't even that sad an episode. I'ma be honest with you. It's probably sad because you know the results and listen to it later. But to be honest, that's not even that sad. I'm watching y'all have fun to make jokes while the disappointed election results of becoming a parent can't wait for the next episode. At least I can count on you to the rise up a butt of dem and glow. No, you can't javas love welp. Apparently we will go back. I'm hopeful that we can't get through this term as we did the last. Oh and I'm sorry, Alesco. I don't want to be dismissive. I'm a sober realist. Okay, I'm optimistic about life, but because I don't want to allow my anxiety to fill in the empty space with negativity. So I'm constantly fighting against that. Y'all have experienced that. Y'all heard it on the show. It's frustrating to some of my friends. They called me. They be saying some bullshit to me, and I'll be like, or what if we allow for the possibility could go good? We never know, right, So, so I don't know if this episode is gonna give you what you feel. But I do want you to know this podcast, we're not changing shit. This wasn't our fault. We're gonna still be engaged, We're still gonna be funny, We're still gonna find joy. Joy is part of this resistance in my mind at this point, and right now it might even be the most important part is to find that joy, because I think there's an undercurrent in this shit that people have not really grasped with, which is that the white people and lating them men that voted for this shit, they did it to make us feel a certain way.
Yes, they like it.
They like that rage that we have that we're just playing in this moment. They like that. They like the depression and the sadness that we're talking. They liked it. I cried.
He liked that.
That's why they did it on a serious moment. That is the point. But just because I experienced those things does not mean that is who I am and where.
I stay right right, I'm not gonna stay stuck.
I'm black in America. I've been here before.
Yeah, we've been forced to move on, Like I don't think people fail to realize.
So we have we've been forced.
So now it's your term to be crying about whatever the fuck is gonna happen to you, like.
You hurt you.
It's like you stabbed me by stabbing through yourself. Yes, and you laughing because you like ha ha, you you bleeding, and I'm like, bitch, the sword went through your solar plexus. You you find to feeling too, Yes, and maybe more than me. Yeah, like I some of the I got the little piece of the sword that went through you. I'm gonna be all right, But you.
Got the blunt of it.
And guess what, baby, I got other skull. I don't know if you notice. I've been stabbed quite a few times.
Multiple times. Child, I put like this. I've had to repair and fix myself.
I remember served sandwiches and Grandma allowances. Okay, out of drink sugar water, My nigga, you're fitting. I've eaten spam. Okay, I had If you found the fine out, I had to think baloney, you got it, matter of fact. Let me tell you right now, I'll give you a little free game. Cut the baloney first before you fry, and then it won't do that bubble thing. You gonna need to know that because we all eating, we back to the free bolone. Yeah, the government, yeah, and all said.
A lot a lot of these upp of the negroes gonna get the shock of their lives because they gonna be like, y'all eat baloney, yes, bitch, ain't I mean fried baloney sandwiches.
Don't do this, don't do this, don't do this. I wasn't literally talking about making a joke. Why did you get so little?
I'm like, I'm getting sere y'all with y'all, y'all. Trump won't take it back. I guess he won't take it back to that too. I was serious.
I was like, well that's how you cut on, like, well shit, and we're talking about bologna.
I'm about that life. I'm one of them up any negroes now I'm talking about me chat. I don't want to go back. Cha talking about going back? I was like, bitch, why, oh my god? I remember them days.
For what it was an analogy.
It's not literally all right, all right, y'all, we can't stay serious for long.
JV City says hard emolde you wealth. Apparently we will go back, hopefully that we get through this term. As we did the last, afraid that it may come to violence though if the Reds get froggy, hoping that we will not have more violence of domestic terrorists, we will. I mean, hate crimes went up under Trump.
It is what it is.
But we was living with this every day. The country never stopped hating us, helping people sober up and really pay attention. I spoke with Republican coworkers. Their main concerns were money and anti Democrats in certain stupid reasoning. There really is no talking to people that feel worse than reality presents itself. Hoping for change, giving billionaires the reins. That is all I can think about right now. My stomach hurts. Back to work, I go, Yeah, I feel bad to JV City. I hate you had to go to work on some shit like this. And yeah, their main concerns were money and quotes and money is race racism, Yes it is. Christap says man fuck Trump. But I'm more bummed that we didn't get our first female president. It is female still acceptible to use I don't really know it's acceptable to using those terms. It's not acceptable when you be like these females.
Right these you might as well say these bites.
If you would not say this is okay, here's a I think a good catch'll. It's not perfect, but it's a good catch all. If you would not say male in that situation, then probably don't say female. Agree, you know what I'm saying, Like, if it's a distinction, you need to make I understand. Like it's like when people say, you know, there's a fucking rap Grammy and it's like best female artists. Okay, that's fine. No one's ever been too upset about that. But if you just call someone female, this is normally an issue. It's like the word transgender. If you say someone is a transgender woman, transgender man, transgender person, those things are all acceptable. If you be like a transgender said, that's not necessarily it's no longer the scriptor right, and it starts to feel a little weird. So I hope that helps. It's a pretty simple one that I use. I grew up in Jamaica and witness our first female prime minister being elected, and I was too young to understand the gravity of that moment, and that what it meant for my mom my hope is that my future kids get the witness something similar. Lastly, shout to kamalast she did the damn thing, and I'm so proud that I was able to vote for her, saying it wasn't her fru You know, it's not Alicia, says hi Rod and caroen Rod, You're absolutely right about who will get to blame. I receive this text from a friend. He texted, apparently America wasn't ready for a black woman last thing I want to do. It's come off like I'm blaming you or black women for it. It's just that was my initial thought. But it's water under the bridge. That's a crazy way to frame that. So now I guess it's black women's fault because we got behind Harris when she became the nominee and supported her more than anyone any other group did. I haven't responded to that text. I'm still trying to figure out if I should remain cool with this person qu the Riders right song. Yeah, it's a lot of it can't be white people's faults, so it's our fault somehow, And I don't know what to tell y'all. You know, like I said, I saw that a brother on the New York Times saying some shit about they needed an open primary. And I said, brother, if you think it was about a primary, then the motherfucker that's why you got you work at the New York Times because you still believe in them. Yeah, you still got some belief in these They got you, They got you, They got your ass, because it's no motherfucking way you walked out of here. It was like, the problem was there's not a primary on the Democratic side. I mean, if you really have a lot of faith in those people and that they're telling you the truth, sure, but I don't. And I think I know, and I don't know what y'all do. When what do you do when y'all have a default belief in these people that won't you won't shake, right, I don't know. I don't have I mean, it's not my problem. It's my problem in that it's enough of y'all that's fucking it up for the rest of us. But it's not my problem because I see through the bullsh I'm like, oh yeah, I saw the ad. Trump ad was like trans men are playing basketball with little girls, and crime is high even though it's not, and immigrants are killing people and taking your jobs even though they aren't. And Colin was like, the economy. Here's how I'm gonna help you. Here's what we're gonna do, the Scott Price gougeing. Here's what we're gonna do to fix this. And y'all was like, yeah, my problem was the economy, and she just didn't speak to it. Trump spoke to it when he said trans men is playing basketball little girls. Okay, y'all won't believe a lot bleed a lot. I don't have to. They ain't gonna lie to my face. I found the numbers in your pocket. I don't need to call him. I got it right, Cali Brush says. Mike says the level of distrust the white women, a good portion of black people in the worst group of all Latinos for Trump to think about all this bullshit this motherfucker has done. These stupid ass people voted him back, all of the people who were super fucking excited for VP Harris, and then we got stuck with this bitch. He committed to so much. Hell uh, he committed so much hell and Latino's in this country think they're going to be rewarded. Man, Fuck everyone. It feels like everything was a set up, from stage assassination to pulling out Elon. This is all stage to build up sympathy for him. White people were all baking or maintaining a white fake power. Yeah, I don't think. I don't think I ever give him the credit of saying he staged assassination. I don't think he's brave enough. I just don't. I think y'all. I think y'all know that deep down too, he ain't got he you think he got what it takes to let a bullet graze by his ear. I don't this nigga is a coward, bro, He's a bond villain. He'd be hitting an escape hatches. Everybody's drowning in this fucking layer. Did you watch election night coverage? Yes, a lot, twenty percent a little bit twenty fifty three percent did not, And you know I would say I'm I would say I'm in a twenty six percent, like I think I definitely checked the channel like once or twice that night and went right back to like, all right, video game, all right TV. Like I couldn't sit and I just couldn't sit and watch it all night. I don't know how people do that. All Right? One more episode with ten comments on this one and I think we got twenty on the on the YouTube for this one.
Yeah, I had something to say.
Yeah, it's gonna be a long ass episode, but we started early for this reason. All right, Wait, am I still on screen?
I see you?
Okay? Why is my fucking thing blank?
Right?
That's what happened to me. That's why I was refreshing my whole page blank, your whole page blank? No, like like my lit Okay, I swear blank, I see it. I'm not in my square with blank. Okay, here we go. The last episode is actually a pregame behind the paywi episode called who was Surviving America is Us? And justin we just discussed twenty twenty four election. I knew y'all probably wanted to hear this and maybe even needed to hear it on some level, and so he said, let's just put this out for everybody. But this is what the fuck we talk about. About. The playwill all the time, normally funnier, normally more varied topics, but it's always a good time. And if you're not behind the paywall, get behind the paywall. It helps us tremendously to be able to bring y'all this show. Shady Dame says, I'm so day am mad at these white women for failing us again at the pulling up. We're all sisters, bs. I live out here, yes, Lucy with the football. I live out here in Nevada in a small town, so I know I'm surrounded by red whites. However, what I didn't expect to happen was these brides intentionally voting to allow abortion. We're also voting to put pro Trump back in office, knowing that he did what he did last time. Sixty percent here voted for choice, over sixty percent voted for Trump. Yeah, Florida had a similar thing. Now that Florida's tricky because they passed the resolution that made it so that in order for something to pass in Florida, as far as a ballot initiative, it has to get over sixty percent of the vote, which doesn't seem fair fifty it's a democracy fifty percent. But that's how they keep stuff like, that's how they get to be like, we voted, we put it on the ballot, should abortion be legal? After six weeks and it failed and you're like it failed, and it's like, yeah, it failed with fifty five percent of the vote. That normally would passes in any other state that would only pass, but they so. And they did the same thing with weed. Over fifty percent of people was like, we should legalize weed in Florida's like, well it was see now sixty percent. So once again, think about those numbers. Over fifty percent voted for those initiatives they didn't pass. Over fifty percent did not vote for Kamala Harris. So over fifty percent of them did want these liberal policies. They wanted that abortion of a turn, but they didn't. They if they would have voted for Kamala Harris in the same percentage as they voted for those initiaess she would have won.
Yes, sir, what is it? What is it?
I went into work on Wednesday, stupid as fuck. I know now, I don't tell that, and went to the bathroom to try to decompress for a moment. I was greeted by two white chicks bawling in the bathroom. I gave an I roll and I ignored them. When one of them called my name. Man, I ain't got nothing for you, becks. Go talk to your sisters about them choices they made understood the signing, Yeah, man, it's not that I what I say. You have made me cold. I don't want to be cold. You going through some shit. You probably a good person. You probably voted the right way.
That's why you crying.
You you shocked that your white women portrayed buttrayed you as much as you know you can as a person could be shocked. I'm a little less shocked than you. We did this before.
I'm a less shocked dizzy.
Lizzie Gal says we cooked. Indeed, thanks for this, y'all. America's at landa contradictions. My fellow Californias went for hass but voted to keep slavery while incarcerated in place, voted to bring back a version of three strikes, and voted against rent control. I don't get it right, And y'all know, y'all high shitting.
Count ain't y'all dyn't win his fucking sky high.
I hope I see y'all on blue Sky. You don't need to invite codes anymore. Who knows what Elon would do come January? Might shut down Twitter all together? Yeah, I don't. I don't even know what to tell y'all. I'm so not I don't think Twitter is going to fix or I don't think Twitter is changing shit. I just don't. I mean, leave to spite him, sure, but he ain't even making money on Twitter. It's all a fucking bullshit thing. Cgter says man. I started listening before the twenty twenty election that gut rich and dread in my stomach, that I felt that collective week of Italian votes visited me again and persist even now. But I'm glad I'm here because everything I could think of, every erroneous point, every what if or what about? I had in my head while trying to come to terms with this, y'all talked about with nuance and care and expressed what I couldn't even get out of my head in this state of anger and disappointment. I know it don't mean much to the overall situation, but thank you for that. Your voice are very needed and welcome at this time. Thank you. I just don't know where we go from here. Another generation of black people have to fight massive oppression again. We have to fight against billionaire donors, will for ignorance, bigotry, racism and soogyny, and growing generation of you red pil gen z men. And that's new what's new is this resentment from other minorities. White supremacy must be the best tasting dish of all time. If you willingly cut off your nose despite your face. Well, you know this probably is not gonna feel like solace right now, but I truly do mean this as solace. Everything you just said was new is not. It's all old, and it's just a matter of reframing your thinking. When you said, what's new is this resentment from other minorities? Did you know that Irish people weren't white, Scottish people weren't white, Italians were not white, and they also resented other minorities like they resented black people too, And then they got indoctrinated into whiteness. They got let into whiteness so that whiteness could continue to grow its numbers, because it's always a doing. The proposition that one day be a minority, just doomed by the way, just the way that DNA works. It's not anything they can do about it. But yeah, that's not new. Your assens a fault this and this is just the passage is the right of passage. You're you're now in the ship too, and you have always been in the ship. You just may not have recognized it or or really felt it like it felt this week, but you've been in the shit. You just looked up and you finally see some ones and zeros in the matrix floating down. It's like, oh shit, we in the matrix. That's it. Like damn, it feels like black people are fetishized for pushing the cause for a movement, but then get kicked out after one night like a hookup. I don't even know where the dams go from here. If they are seen as the party of Black people by others and they resent us for whatever damn reason. You might be right, maybe a push toward the right is what it will take.
It might be.
I don't think they're leaving out of this going. You know, what people really need is a lot of left wing DEI inclusivity. That's not what it I think what they're what the lesson is, and what people like Bill Maher are gonna take from this is Democrats need to look in the mirror and get white working class voters back on their side. And no one's gonna stop and go what does it take to get white working class voters? Because she had economic policies, they're gonna just say shit like you know, obviously her economic message didn't reach them. No, No, what it's gonna take is a Democratic party that is willfully showing they're putting all other people that are not white men and white people. They're pushing their needs secondary. Yep. They the white people that won't vote Democrat or the white people that vote Trump, they need that. What Trump gave them there was a consistent message is that they will not He will never ever help those people.
Whoever, whoever, whoever, those people like those people. There's a long gas list, long gass list. He said, I will do for myself. I mean, obviously I put myself above all of y'all.
Fuck y'all. But what I promise you is that you'll never catch me helping black people in any way that that would you ever. You'll never help me. You've never seen me helping immigrants, You'll never see me helping gay people. And they like that more than they like the economy or whatever message Tom was getting.
I didn't want to hear anything else. If you're not willing to say those we can't talk.
Yeah, where are the plans? Okay, that's what the problem was.
It was a concept.
Just go after the white women and Latino population when you make the bills benefiting them, name it for them and throw something that just they inmate for us. Maybe no, no, that's not They don't want legislation, that's not it. I don't know, man, I'm just hurting confused. I tell you one thing, Whatever my sister, wherever my sisters go, whether staying here, a third party or whatever, that's what I'm gonna be at two full stop. Screw the rest of the coalition. Shake my damn head.
You know what?
One more thought came to mind as I sit here burning about this motherfucker's status in the back? How many people you think wanted this to happen because that rage content machine was drying up under Biden. That's part of it. I know the media wanted it, but I bet some of these online blacks couldn't wait to release these think pieces and follow me the freedom because I'm the only black sermons. I guess the business is good again, No it's not. It's not. They will not see a benefit of white guilt economy again. My bad. I'm just royally pissed off and vin it's all good. Get your vent out Cjeter.
Yeah, they won't not this time. That buddy gone.
I'm just saying, says I usually don't comment, but I wanted to say something here. Every now and then, the US does something that will smack Black people in the face to remind them of who they are and what this country has done to them. Those moments are crystallized and going to impact the Black people that are coming to age during that time. Obama winning was a great moment, but I do think that there's a generation of black people that saw their emergers of the tea party afterwards as smack in the face. For some, it was George Emman's acquitto, or seeing images of Mike Brown's body laying in the street for some people as George Floyd, or maybe watching the clip of Ahmad Aarbury spreading down the street while being pursued by armed races picking up people that pickup truck, that people. Always that moment always terrifies me because I think about how scared he was in that moment. This selection was some black people's moment, particularly a chunk of gen Z that saw the drama the past and just thought that elders may not have been fighting hard enough or didn't know how to actually make change. They thought things were better in a way that in the end, if you work hard enough, you could skip over this thing called race. Yep, yep. Every generation, Get awake up, Carl, that's facts. Sometimes they talk more about class as a separator and not race. They were kids when Trump won the first time. Hell, they may even have voted for Biden this time around. They thought this task was gonna be easy, and they got smacked in the face. Those are the people I feel most sad for those younger black people that are now understanding why the black people to the south opted to go with Biden during the twenty twenty primary. Last thing I'll say is that I'm often reminder of the words I heard the Sister Soldiers say during the interview that was struck with me for years, even more so than now. She got into a heated back and forth with Cornell West on some talk show. She pointed out that we keep making a moral appeal to a country that doesn't have a moral conscience. They kept trying to appeal to the better angels of America and that simply doesn't exist in the way they does. They are out here calling gen Z Hitler's youth because so many of them voted for Trump when we traditionally considered the youth vote to be liberal. A lot of black gen Z got a huge slap in the face. Yep, wake up, it's the first of the month. Meyrolle says, Rod. You were so right about the inconsistency of the arguments and the fact that there were folks on our side who either split the ticket, voted Trump, or left the top of the ticket blank. Because Senate race margins and win loss ratio is not mapping down the columnel's performance down ticket dims outperformed consistently in each state each of the key states. For example, in Michigan and Wisconsin, the DEM senate candidate one with relatively close margins vis a vis the tight race that Cares campaign was warned about prior to election day, while Kamala lost by roughly the same goddamn margin the DEM senators won by, and to the current counts in New Mexico and Arizona, it's looking like white dims and Latino men. Dims shout out to Latinas for coming through in third to black folks stabbed our girl in the back because DEM senators are poised to win, and it's not lost to me that DEM candidate in Arizona's Latino Man. Even in the case where DEM's lost the Senate seat, the Senate candidate outperformed Kamala. Look at Bob Casey. He lost in Pennsylvania by roughly four points, while Kamala lost by roughly twelve. That's a threefold difference our size, specifically white people and Latino Man abandoned her. And there's really no other plausible reason than massage. Dear update, I jumped the gun on Bob Casey. The most recent tallies put down ballot votes more in line with the top of the ticket in PA. But in the current Montana count John Tester lost by seven point five points and Kama lost by a little over twenty points, which is more than double. So the general point still stands. And I'm just saying, says, I just read that that was over one hundred thousand ballots left floating out there that have to be looked into one hundred thousand provisional ballots that McCormick is suing over as well. So there's still time for Bob Casey to prove his margins. The truth the Harris campaign ground game was impeccable and likely saved these seats as well as other down ballot candidates. Yeah, everyone forgets how much of an investment she made, which is a record into down ballot candidates. She did not just get to the top of ticket and say it's all about me.
She was pulling all this money the everybody was giving into all those races.
She did everything people said a campaign like hers needed to do and should do, and that Democrats hadn't done before and for what. But it couldn't save her because a lot of people voted blew down ballot also came in that booth and voted Trump or left it blank. It's a huge betrayal to the most loyal vote bloating voting block, and they don't want to admit it. Shanna says, hey, Rod and karenon right there, mainly because I want this somewhere on whack Rod. I absolutely agree with you that I refuse to feel bad for thinking that extremely qualified black women could win the presidency against a felling rapist idiot. That doesn't make me naive or overly optimistic. It just shows how sick this country is, and I'll never forget. I'm in California where they want to pack themselves on the back for enshrine and gay marriage and to the Constitution even though they banned it the same year they voted for Obama, and they keep talking about seceding from the country. Meanwhile, California voted to keep slavery in the constitution, increased penalties for petti crimes, and they wouldn't vote to raise the minimum wage one dollar. I'm not staying with y'all either. White people don't know how to truly be in community. I'm tired of it. I'm also really disappointed in white women that Queen t t told them to vote for her. They were out here watching Agatha talking about how they were witches and they didn't burn in Salem. Kamon Little told them their husbands didn't have to know their vote, and they were putting up posted in bathrooms on social media clout.
And then they did what they always do.
They went in that booth and voted for white supremacy. I'll never forget. Yeah, like fifty two percent I heard, which is down from fifty five percent, But man, y'all's abortion rights was on the line. This new scot is about to be on y'all lands. I was worried about folks sitting out voting third party. Instead, this election showed exactly what they want. I will say, I'll take some silence in the fact that many of them are already seeing effects of their votes. I've seen at least four examples of the supporters who have already seen their jobs are health care affected by preemptive measures that people are taking before that he takes office. And I'm like that Donald Glover gift good.
Yeah, them terrorists are real. A lot of companies are already adjusting. It's gonna be a lot of people that ain't gonna get raises. They're not getting bonuses, they're not getting profit shared because it was a bitch. The price of the brick gonna go up. And what's gonna happen. Y'all ain't getting the benefits anymore from it.
Yep. People getting laid off, people not getting those bonuses. Saw a company, a union company is planning to do layoffs January fifth. What's happening around then? They're like, won't be no repercussions. Fuck y'all, I wish you and carrying the best thank you for your artist coveragy of selection. I nowhere cooked and I know y'all are part of my community. We got a shin. While GANI says I can't find anything I disagree with as far as y'all's analysis and reflection, I just find it weird that white folks kept throwing good money at the bat on the whiteness bet just going to Antebellum. The rich whites were fucking over the poor whites, and the poor whites weren't loving in dentural servitude. But once there was full on American style slavery, they had a pariah class of people, and that playcadd them somehow. Yeah, I don't know what you say to a person that is motivated by someone else's suffering as a way to ignore their own that like you keep you keep telling me it's about some messaging, and I'm like, I don't think it is.
If you can present this.
Person with someone doing worse than them and say that person is gonna take your shit, they literally will be like, please, billionaire, take everybody shit, eat it up. And that's my question. How does being able to abuse other people make you abuse better? Even if make your abuse better? Even if you fantasize about power, why would you invest in toying with the mastery play set that a parade class provides and not invest in getting those resources that allow the masters to master y'all too. I don't know fail. I don't know they got it. God damn. Thirty three comments. Oh my god, y'all was on the youtubes for this one. Jesus, Oh man, I'm earning my fucking supper today. Yes you are, sir, Here we go, Here we go, uh say. He says. There's nothing more powerful than the truth you won't tell yourself preach. Thank you, Thank you. I wrote that a while ago, and I've been It's just been relevant to me in many different ways. Been very illuminating over the last few months. It's just something I remember tweeting or thinking, and it's like this is another example. Love the pod. Thank you. Tiki says, thank you for putting this on the regular feed, heart emoji you welcome. Z Mom says, Waiting for all those groups that thought they were immune to ask us black folks to come march with them. I will be weigh in the back like Bernie was when he marched with King jav City says, I actually forgot to check my feelings at the door. Had to ride with a coworker yesterday and he voted Orange. He said he had no choice. It didn't hurt my feelings because we talked about before the election day and I knew where he stood. But walking through the office yesterday, I was like, are these people that are not dragging ass happy orange smiling at my face? I decided I'm still taking up space and was ready for them. This is an indiocracy. Billionaires have this shit on lock. Racism is strong, and non white communities too. Shit fire. The economy fucked the free world. I guess the mental slavery is one hell of a drug. Karen be knowing one of my white friends is grieving heavily. Patrise says no new voters shifted to him. He got fewer votes than twenty twenty. Is a turnout election. Fifteen million people that voted Democrat and three million that voted Republican didn't vote this year. Patrise, that's been actually proven factually inaccurate. Not that none of what you said is true, but they've done analysis the first time, and new voters voted for him. I don't know if it's a first time ever that that's happened for a Republican. But the majority of people that voted that were first time voters were Republicans this time. That's insane to think about, considering that we were talking about the registration numbers when Kamalo was running, and how many people were saying, this is gonna be my first time voting and it's because of her, and it still ended up going to Trump. So I don't know, maybe you got your information from a different place. Tia says, please don't give up the fight. Our ancestors didn't. The real loss that we have just experience can't be. It have been worse than anything they experience. We have to lick our wounds and get back up. I'm here and free for now because my answers didn't give up. Don't we owe continuing to fight for our children. We are all rowing and pain right now, but we can't give up. Giving up our spirit to fight for freedom and democracy and fairness will be way worse than Trump winning. Let's not give that victory to them too. Someone said, I love your optimism is so sweet. After all this time, this fight should be over. It's no longer a fight. It's a way of life. We keep trying to prove that we are worthy of love when we really need to let them see that life what life is like without us. Our plans to see be the most mediocre, lazy, self served person I could possibly be. This world will no longer get my best. This world is unworthy, and I will be all the better. I would never campaign for another group, cause when they come for you, and they will, I will not help. That was Jed and someone else applied. I agree with the fight, but only for us. If other folks want to help our cause, then so be it. But we don't need to step up for anyone else anymore. Tilla, I don't know that we ever said anything about giving up the fight. I think you may be talking to yourself. Maybe you're feeling some way about wanting to give up, and you're trying to motivate yourself through motivating us. Our show's not changing. What we do is in changing. So whatever you've been getting from the blackout tips, if you feel like you've been getting the fight, then I guess you're gonna keep getting a fight. I'm still here, not turning, running, not ducking tail.
I'm allowing myself to feel whatever these emotions are.
But the most important thing about this podcast is that we don't get up here a lot, and we don't get up here play k We don't get up here and Panda. Everything you're hearing is how we feel. And the reason that it resonates is because it's how other people feel. People in the audience feeling this way too. And I won't sit up here and perform and lie and act like the shit is all good. Right, Oh, we lost, but guys, let's keep fighting. Man, fuck that shit. Take a breath, everybody calmed down. We don't even know what the fight looks like at this point. Let's just calm down. Things will come up in this next however long, that will give us the signs of what it's like to resist. But you're gonna have to see, you know, resistance might look a little different. Yeah, but what I tell you, what I do promise not to do. And this is just because of my personal dog man, I can't say this shit for nobody else. I am not gonna get on this podcast and party on the suffering of people who did who just in gener only did not do this right, Like I don't think it is funny or cool to be like, hey, you know you can get ten thousand dollars for turning somebody in for an abortion. I'm in Texas. I'm gonna call the number. Fuck these people. Hey, you know you could get some money from turning somebody into ice. I'm gonna call ice on people. I don't think that's funny and I'm not gonna participate in that. Agreed, So you know you don't have to worry about that shit happened on this show, but in general, like we're still gonna this. Shit ain't broke me because you can't break me with this. I believe it was possible to lose, So you just can't break me with some shit I could believe could happen, right. You know, it's like being an Eagles fan for so many years, It's like, I know we can lose a Super Bowl? How would be heartbroke? Like it sucks when Dono mic Now is out there fucking blowing chunks on the twenty yard line and it's two minutes left. It sucks. But did I think it was impossible? Hell no, I've been an Eagles fan all time. They don't win Super Bowls, but that was back when I used to be an Eagles fan. Now I'm a Panthers fan. Is even worse. My mom says, My mom says, great show. My heart is broken, tying to reset, restart and restore. It's a new day America. Yep, that is, says Kamala is and was pro Israel. She was keeping body. Okay, here we gotta go keeping Biden's policy on the Israel. I agree with over our point though lots of factors. Well, here's the thing, because this is important. This is important. I'm glad you said this because that talking point is interesting because what you're responding to is a point I made, which is that whether you can quibble over the language used, but there are actually politicians who are more pro Israel than Kamala Harris, that is the difference out the distinction. Now, if you are ignorant to that distinction, that's on you. But there are some politicians who are like, Israel did nothing wrong. They should continue to do what they're doing. And uh, and the Palestinians are wrong. And if anything, I equate people who live in guys are in Palestinians with her moster terrorists organization. They are one and the same to me, and anything that is done to them is justifiable. Yes, there were democratic politicians who had those viewpoints who won races in states where she lost the race. Right now, that is important context because there are people who will say, you know, the reasons she lost is because she didn't do enough for Palestine, And it's like, well, then why did they win. Why did the same voters go in that booth and say I'm okay with this guy but not her, and she was less so than they were. Then it wasn't that issue. We just got to accept with the facts. I agree with the overall point though, lots of factors, but being white is very powerful stat boos plus ten. But with electoral college is set up and racism is also impossible to get certain voters to vote for a non racist black or vibe comment candidate. Sure, I guess I think I understood that some one said, just another day. Black women has always been at the bottom of the total pole. We offer the most and get the least. You know, all those swifties and so called advocates lied in everybody's faces and voted for big Orange, and all the fake zoom called white women still voted to the right. Those they are the biggest lies on the planet. Stop giving advice, Rod, don't tell them what they should do. Let them bump their heads. I know you're very upset right now, but we're gonna just keep it real. Those women aren't the problem. I know you want to be mad at every white woman and just walk down the street and be like, it's every white person fault. The problem is it ain't enough of them.
It ain't enough of them.
Those people they did show up and show out and support her, and shit, it's just it don't matter if their group as a whole is fell in the group project because they like, nah, I kind of like the white supremacy. So I don't want to get into this like thing. There's white people that just like everything. There's there's white people that are righteous, white people that are like, nah, I get it. This country's fucked up, and I want to help the unfuck it right. And I don't want to do this thing where we just lump everybody in and be like fuck fuck you for for going like, fuck you for being on the call to support Vice President Haarents, fuck you for donating, fuck you forgiving your time, fuck you for phone banking. That's a ridiculous fucking thing to take away from this election. Those are not the fucking people. There's plenty of white people that are voluntarily wanting to be like they want you to be upset at them.
Yeah, that's their help.
Don't give it to them.
The purpose want you.
I'm not spending any time inefficiently wasting my emotionality on some motherfuckers. That's trying to help. If you're trying to help.
You cool, You cool, if you're trying to help.
Yeah, it's the specific groups I'm talking about. They know who they are, they know what they voted for. I'm not giving them an excuse. Everybody else, I don't give a fuck if you all, as A said before on your left cap, we're the point. Just show up in the booth, vote the right way, and we good. You did that. You good with me in my book, Homie, I'm not about to spend any time fighting with you. I'm not riding on you just like cause I'm so mad at everybody.
I'm not.
No, I'm not a fucking idiot. I know the difference.
You know, and we all have it. We all have it.
It's the same in some weird way, it's kind of similar to what happened with the black man thing. We wasted all that fucking time talking about somewhere between ten to twenty percent of these niggas who never come along. We spent so much time giving them air and they don't deserve any Fuck them people, But what do we do. We let the chopper spray on all the black men, and it's just a waste of time. It is to waste the fucking time. I'm not wasting my time, so you can do that. That's fine. And I don't remember giving them any advice. So you got to calm down, Jane. You was just mad. When he says, thank you for putting this into free feed, I was looking for your thoughts and analysis. Democracy was fun while it lasted. Ms Rowl says two words explaining how the Orange Ninja got elected. Makham's raised the simples ex that she's usually the most probable and it's simply that the majority of Americans hate women that hate black POC women even more disgusting. Yeah. I think it was that simple too. Michael says, I felt from the first debate that Trump would win. Nobody taught policy. All they spoke about was Haitian's eating dogs period, and it got amplified to tell nobody remembers what VP Harris said that night.
Well, I don't think so.
I don't think so. I remember the analysis that debate and people were playing clips from her, They played how she baited him. They said, she clearly wanted debate. So I will lie listen, this is this is part of the reason y'all listen to this show. I will never sit up here and let y'all reframe the truth.
Right.
I saw what I saw, people said what they said. I'm sure there's somebody somewhere that was acting like she ain't win that debate, but the vast majority of people was even Republicans were like, she killed this nigga this debate. It was terrible for them. So, nah, we don't do the revision. Is history over here. If we can't make the truth work, then we can't we can't agree on those facts. We can't talk cause it's just like people gonna go back. I knew she did it, she was terrible or whatever they was. It's even worse to me that they know she wanted debate, says she wanted debate, covered it like she wanted debate, and many people went, I still can't vote for that black woman. That's worse than what you're painting. That's worse than what you're painting. We do remember what she said, I do you know you're running against me? Okay, this former president. We know what she said.
We remember it.
It went viral. They're playing a different game, relying on white women as a losing bad Ask any lynched black man. This is a great episode. Foolish's Friday has become a must listen moment in my life. Keep keeping on. When Tony Morrisone's asked she had any white friends, she answered, in our paraphrase, I think I have someone who might be that. When the trucks come, that note rung loudly today when they come, vroom vroom. Thanks again, this helped. I'm glad it helped you, Mike, But YO, don't give into letting it. Nobody cared. No, it's even worse, Mike. They said she was excellent, and then they went in that booth and said, but I don't want that excellence.
I don't want it from her.
So maybe that made you feel worse. I didn't mean to, but just letting you know, let's not let's not get let's not act like, oh yeah, man, they didn't fuck with that debate. They fucked with it. Miss miss sir cool says Bernie Sanders is already out there trying to remove racism for the reason why she lost. Yep. And that's why I'll never fuck with him. I know white people love him, but his racial proxies is terrible, and they don't listen to Black people and they don't respect what we have to say, so they don't understand why. That's why he keeps losing. They think they think we're lower information and a bunch of other racist shit. Rather than to just go, oh, so you're telling me, if he would just change his message a little bit, he'd be winning. And I'm like, yes, but y'all don't respect us, So y'all just gonna be like, I don't know why these black people won't vote for him. They must be the establishment.
That's the possibility. He could have been Henry if people that did that.
It's that one black dude in the South, that in South Carolina he made them vote that way. We're not stupid. We don't fuck with him. He knows why, right.
Brett says, thanks for this.
I feel like I'm going crazy the way people talking about this election blaming black and trans people for the loss. Yep. Donna TiO says, y'all, you said it all. Jesus Christ could have endorsed in campaign for Kamala and the result would have been the same. People are choosing ignorance. You can google every piece of legislation passed by each administration. Had a feeling the fix was in when bezos in the La Times got pulled the endorsements of Kamala. Trump has been telling us all along he was going to win by hooker, by crook. Yep. Timmany says, I hate that Kamala lost. Devastated, but I'm glad she ran the campaign the way she did. There's no logical reason why she should have lost this based off the enthusiasm we were seeing, the clever social media presence, and the popularity. It was a Democrat that didn't vote and the betrayal of white women once again. I appreciate all who came to our side, the white women who actually were working hard to get her elected, Republicans who chose country of a party. It feels like the math ain't mathing on this one. But I trust that Kamla's team has done is due diligence. Yeah, that's why I have to guilt too, because, like I said, if you told me like something, something the farious happened with the vote, I would not. I'm willing to believe it cause it feels like something must have happened. But I think too much of her campaign, her as a candidate to think that they would accept dubious results and just be like, it's all good. You know what I mean. It's looking like the voting machines might have been tampered with. The numbers aren't adding up, But you know what, kammona, let's go ahead and concede. I just don't think she would have. Maybe I'm wrong about that, but I just don't think. I don't think you I put it just like you couldn't get me to do it after all the work I've done, you could not tell me that, like, hey, man, we think some indiscretions happened with the vote, but let's just go ahead and concede from them, like I know I wouldn't. So I don't know, man, I guess that's what's stopping me from going full conspiracies. I don't want to believe that she's that soft. I'm also glad to be able to work from home, and I had to deal with the happier, indifferent Republicans at the office. I dealt with that in twenty sixteen. It was brutal, but after all, a sudden and done. Despite her loss, I think it was still the right thing for Joe to step down, let her rock. She did her thing, didn't she? She did do her thing, Tilly' said, I just realized that Kamla Harris will have to certify the reelection of this monster. Yep, yep, America did that. They love that. Choir Storm says also, Stacey Abrams shouldn't have made a book a few years ago that was passed around and an opposite interest group tell everyone our secrets, just saying no, what stop saying stick like that. I don't like saying she did that for us the people to use that blueprint of the states like and it also that blueprint. Not that I mean, I'm not disspecting the work, but it was about doing the elbow, putting the elbow grease in and doing the work, and getting on the ground.
Doing the work, doing the work down the streets.
Like that's not something that Yeah, I disagree with that, Like, it's not let's keep this a secret. What the fuck we got a whisper campaign. No, it is our right to vote. It's a public fucking right. Yes, it's my right to vote. It's not a secret how to get out the vote. We just can't hack these white people from being racist and shit. Lucky Ego says, white people faked us out. They pretended they wouldn't vote for her, knowing they were never gonna do it. Her platform was excellent and would have changed my family's life. I hate half of America for this, and I wish someone would ask me to start marching when they start deporting people. Yeah, that's not gonna happen. Rebeccam says, you are absolutely correct. The only reason Colin didn't win is most of America did not want a black woman for president. I said the exact thing of my parents and dad the election. I'm ashamed of my race, heartbroken, and pissed. I was so sure that it would be a last slide for her. Sorry, Rod and Karen, I know my sadness and anger does not compare to yours. I don't know it could. I mean, because I'm probably not as sad as angry as you think I am. And you're probably a little bit more sad and angry than people would assume you are being a white woman. Yeah, and we probably meet in the middle. But it's not literly a fucking sadness anger off. So you ain't got a worry about that over here.
Feel those the feelings are real, y'all, and you o guys are allowed to feel however you feel and process those feelings because the problem is when you don't process those feelings and then you come around talk about you won't do the work, that shit turns into motherfucking anger. Because when it's time to do the work, anger needs to be put to the sad sadness depression.
No, when it's time to fucking put your boots to.
The ground and it's time to grind that emotional baggage need to be sorted through. So take your mother fucking time before you go back out on the streets trying to do work.
Also, low key, hot key, you might be feeling more angry and sad than me and Karen.
Yeah, I think a lot of people are.
Because I don't really be in community with these people.
You know what, I'm not gonna wallow in it.
And it's just not fuck the wallowing. I'm saying. I don't really have nobody that I gotta like, go face true, no one's gonna try to tell me and justify soul. You might actually like, I don't feel the betrayal. This ain't my community that betrayed, Like it's the call ain't coming from inside my house, agreed, Like, I think I would be sad and betrayed and angry if, like they said, we did the final tally and forty fifty seven percent of black men voted for Trump. I that y'all ain't even heard the anger I would have over that, because I don't even know what the fuck the show would sound like. We definitely wouldn't be able to put it out the way I would be. I would sound like a fucking Southern a AK, white supremacist and some shit like you know, yeah, y'all, I would sound like Uncle Ruckets on this motherfucker.
So, y'all, so like I can't hear running everything now, and y'all be thinking I'm mad.
Yeah, So I can't even really speak to that. I don't have that level of rate. I think a lot of black people don't really have that. What you're hearing is resignation. It's like people being like, oh, okay, so y'all really, y'all really won't this? That's what I don't think you really? Yeah, I ain't too mad about the ship.
Yes, so y'all would want that, And like I say, and a lot of people don't meet it this time. It's gonna be a lot of organizations that's gonna get shot. They were like, well, elections over, y'all ready to get back to work. Child, missing emails, no response, phone calls, like, it's gonna be a lot of no, no, no, no, I meant this.
I'm voting and that's it, bitch.
I'm doing the bare minimum of my duty as an American citizen and nothing more.
Yeah, you just get a lot of out of office emails from a lot of people for a while.
I'm out of office forever.
Yeah, but yeah, I just she says, I know I have white privilege. Just wanted to reach out to both of you and say I hear you, and I'm so very sorry sorry for for sorry for you, sorry for me, sorry for our country. Because now that she is gonna get real. The only silver I hope I have is I live in Baltimore, Maryland state that I understood and voted correctly for Commala.
Yeah.
I mean you gotta hold on what you can for positivity, Earl says, not surprised, it's America. I like Earl, shit in all caps. Not surprised, it's America, black over fit it from the South. Nothing of a Trump, racism and sexism, but it still.
Hurts, thanks, Earl, saying with the chance, Earl.
He did leave another comment an hour later, also all caps racism, undefeated, never lost.
That's good, never lost. I got a show title that is hilarious. I think that might be the show title.
Putting that down right now, Lucky Ego says, from now on, I'm putting all my work, heart and spirit in the Black America because I got nothing for anyone else. When you come crying to me, I will say, no brain, no baby, come on man, here you go.
But it's true, Hugh says, mask off.
Indeed, they don't care what he says, his policies, or his history of scams abusing women, as long as he's hurting the right people. Minority women, et cetera. Also, oh, and you know, let me be fair because I keep saying Latino men. But there's been analysis and breakdowns that separate the Latino vote out by origin, and a lot of that was the Cuban Latinos that did a lot of that work. They're still like Mexicans did not come in majority for Trump. Puerto Ricans did not come in majority for Trump. So like you know, I've been and I apologize for that because that I was painting with a wire brush and that's not fair. That's not fair because I wouldn't want anybody do that to me. It's a very specific type of person.
Specific group, specific group within the group.
Also, hard to win a game when it's so rided against. She funny how the base only matter when Democrats lose them, ain't it? A good economy is everything except for the current one and twenty sixteen, only Republicans are conservaive. This can be victims her lock her up for no crimes committed, but look the other way when an actual certified criminal is running. Congrats America on your first populist. You never forget your first Joe Smith says, I had a weird feeling last week. Very disappointed. Oh well, I wish Biden had stayed in, got elected, and then stepped down. The crazy thing is even in pair Biden might have won two old white men. Kamala was the best qualified. It was interesting to see her next move. It'll be interested her next move. She won't even be a senator anymore. Yeah, and like, where do you go from this? Because like everyone else I've seen run for president and not win. It's basically been like, I guess I'm a private citizen now, you know what I mean. I don't think I can't. John Kerry, al Gore, Hillary Clinton. I've never really seen them return to elected office again.
It's like, that's it for me, right, y'all told me, y'all didn't want me to fuck. I'm go running full I'm out.
Kind to go be a rich person that don't really need to deal with this bullshit. I tried to tell y'all the right thing to do. I know her and Hillary is somewhere drinking a good bottle of wine like these girl. Girl girl. Kamalo was axcellent that the voters are nuts, but I think some trickery has taking place. All the things Trump would have accused Harris of if she had one. Hey, man, I can't put it past it. It's just Joe, how do I so? Do I believe Harris was food? Was she taken in? Was she did? She just not care that she got cheated and she said, oh, well, is there a secret investigation that's happening and we don't know about it? I just I have so many questions if that, if there's some fuckery that happened and she's she's still conceded. I have a lot of questions. And now conceding is not legally binding for anything, but it's just I have a lot of questions. Biz Dron says, you know who don't give assistance to if they really you know who know who not to give a sistance to it they really need it? And support black women always searching their pockets for a for an I give a fuck from this point. Oh I support black women for oh for not care? Okay, I get it. Jason says, oh snap, YouTube must have waived their no justin policy for this one. How I just playing It was great to see him for me. The most irritating thing about the election is the second time Trump gets to ride the coattails of competence. If you told me in twenty ten this will happen, I would have let I would have said let him win twenty twenty instead, just like in twenty sixteen, everything is already trending in a great direction. At to Joey b and Kammas say the country, yes, And the coverage is going to be very interesting because you will see not just conservative outlets, but even liberal and in the middle. You will see a reframing of economic news. The second he takes office with the same exact numbers that are really Biden's numbers, the job reports, economy, the inflation, and they will say Donald Trump's economy is doing great. This first report of jobs numbers is great, this first report of inflation is great, and they'll make it seem like it's something he did.
And then they did it with Obama.
And the second his policies come into effect, it's gonna be like this is diverse ever.
Yep, stock They're gonna be talking about the stock market being great. A bunch of shit, let's see. Plus Bidy administration just got the ability to negotiate drug prices, just like many of the bad parts of Trump's first term didn't take hold until Biden's term. Many of the good parts of biden term won't take hold until Trump's. It almost feels like Comma didn't lose because things are bad, things are going well, and now people are comfortable enough to go back to the clown show. I agree with a lot of that, and I think also what will be interesting is that Trump's policies, If this twenty twenty five thing is real, which I think it is, Trump will be undoing those policies. So insolence going with the price of the insolent brick going back up. So y'all wanted this America?
Yeah, and my biggest thing is people the guide on them student loans forgiving.
Y'all better watch out because that's gonna be on the table soon. He goes. Nope, y'all owe all that motherfucking money plus interest.
The exupposed tell you everything you need to know, move the way you know you should, no more second guessing, it says biz drown. All right, all right, let's do a couple of voicemails. We got like three voicemails. Let me play a beat here in case we decided to put some music here later. All right, let's go we got three voicemails. Here's the first one. I must have played. Did I play this first? So maybe they left two voicemails. This one from Saturday at eight thirty at night, So yeah, I couldn't hurt this put Saturday after Now.
My name is the HB Queen t X queen.
I'm trying to reach out mister Rod Morrow of the black guy who tips.
Please call me back at seven.
I don't know that that's I don't know what that's about. It's not a fan calling the line. Email me if you have something like that. This is fan feedback, all right. Next one is from Margarete.
Hi Karen Hi Rod. I just wanted to thank you both for all your coverage of this election political news in general. But I really just want to thank you all for just doing a great job of being so thoughtful about the.
Type of.
Things that you discuss, the way you discuss them, the way you analyze things and are critical of not just the politicians but the media, the way as least social media is covering these things. You all have really done a herculean job. And this election has been very devastating for many of us, the results even more devastating, infuriating, frustrating, But I just want to give you guys kudos. Listening to you all has just brought me a lot of relief that it's not just me. I'm not the only one who thinks these things.
When I talk to our friends, A lot of times our conversations are fueled by anger and so they're not always very productive. So I really find a lot of foss in listening to this show. Even just listening to Ball Deep for me yesterday and or pregame excuse me and having this discussion, I just was reminded how much you all are such a great podcast, a great duo. And again, thank you all for your thoughtfulness and doing this work. Whether you want to or you feel it's the need, you all are appreciated.
So have a good one.
Thank you. That means a lot to me. Man, You know, I do a lot to try to like approach this show and regulate, you know, my emotional responses and speak from a place of thoughtfulness and not just snap judgments all the time, and give y'all informed opinions and information and step back and take you know, take myself out of it, take our you know, even if part of the reason I take myself out of it is so that Karen can insert herself and our guests can insert themselves and give you more of a personal emotional aspect of things sometimes. But yeah, I'm glad it's appreciate it because it is work and it takes a lot out of me. So thank you.
M hm.
We got another voicemail a second.
All right, here we goes, Hey Ron, Karen, good morning. Just m on. Hopefully this makes it time for the feedback show. I'm still well. I think there's only one more episode that I have to catch up on. But I just finished listening to your episode. I think that was on the day of the election Tuesday, and you know, I just want to say thank y'all for all your coverage this election season and keeping us steady head and you know, all the laughs and the optimism. But yeah, uh, it's it is what it is. And I hope y'all played the rod was right because I was talking to people and I was saying their relation have pushed Joe Biden out is just you know, I think he could have won, but it is what it is, and we got the person that we got, So just gonna hunker down, and I was really trying not to find out who won because I had so much anxiety. I was like I told everyone. I was like, don't tell me, don't call me, like, I'll just find out Friday. That quieted all my knees, apps and things.
Like that that I found out because my stomach studies, I get texts from them and they're like Trump wins.
I was like, it was like, how is this going?
It's like the spiritual, like how can we I'm like, what come on? And told this is most my husband my sister like saying it was just like that's ironic, was like right, so, but yeah, and I understand that people are going through the states of the grief, but this might cat me off. So I'm just gonna say bye and thank you guys again. Love y'all, thank you.
I appreciate it. Man. I think listening to these woicemails really made me realize how much this took out of me.
I'm very tired, baby, yes, I mean not trying to be funny, y'all. Y'all just do not know how exhausted I am.
Like I said, living in the swing state, knowing how important North Carolina was being bombarded with all the commercials, like I am really really exhausted, Like I'm so exhausted that I'm like, you know what, I know the holiday is coming up, but now I was like, I don't really feel like holidaying. I don't know if that makes sense, Like I just kind of want to rest and sleep and recover because the last like two two and a half years have been fucking exhausting. It has been exhausting from the beginning, and it's been a big ass roller coaster ride. And I don't think for me, I can't speak for nobody else, but for me, people don't realize how much of a roller coaster ride and how much I had to literally calm myself down from brunning this motherfucker down when buying a step down.
Y'all.
People do not understand how livid I was by the time I got on a MIC. I had really calmed myself down, and I was angry then. But if I would have spoken when Roger initially told me, I don't know how I would have been even angrier prollect that. And so for me, I had to sit and look at the collective and say, Okay, this is what y'all wanted. This is what y'all wanted. Okay, this is what y'all wanted to I had to really calm myself down. That took a lot of energy to calm myself down from saying this is what y'all wanted. Okay, y'all was scared. I understand, this is not what I wanted for Joe Biden. I wanted Joe Biden in there. I wanted the white man off. And if the white man would have lost, not trying me funny, I would have been satisfied with the results. I'm just gonna keep that real. I can't speak for anybody else, but I would have been satisfied with the result. If Joe would have went in and all these people that turned against Joe really went to the polls and said fuck it, I'd have been like, Okay, this is what America truly truly wanted. And then for me, I had to take the emotional shift from going okay, it ain't Joe. I'm still a little pissed, I'm still a little warm. I will never forget this to Okay, here's another candidate.
Okay.
The candidate is a black woman. Okay, she looks like me. Okay, she's actually and I've always thought this, she actually ran a better Joe a better campaign than Joe Biden. Y'all, let's just keep that real. And she didn't win because of the some of the same reasons that she lost in the general election. Okay, people don't want to admit that. And some people were happier for her to be a vice president than president. Okay, Okay, okay, I can Okay, let's go. So I'm like, okay, I won't her to win, Robert rod let's go behind. And then you turn around and in the country smacked me in the face. And now I'm furious because now I'm like, like I said, it's doubly insulting to me.
And now I'm exhausted. I'm fucking exhausted.
Yeah, you know, I said just I said it many times. I was like, y'all aren't prepared for what happens if we lose, because y'all just aren't ready for the amount of resentment and anger and just this is a time where you either know and ad meant what happened, or you literally just have to be expunged. I can only exist in reality. I can't listen to anybody that tell like I've been you know, I said a few times this week, I'm like, I understand people not gonna ever want to talk to me about politics again, because I'm never gonna let you sit in my face and tell me this was not about her being a black woman, and you are never gonna be able to accept it because you have to accept something deeply, deeply dark about this country. And this country exists on the myth that these people have better angels and they don't and and and and you know, there's people might be feeling offended. They might you're talking about I didn't say all white people, but there's a we know the exact number, we know whatever number didn't vote and whatever number voted for him, that that those people were swayed by bigotry. They didn't get another.
Thing because he didn't run on anything else.
So that's you know, that's why I'm at with it all right, emails, But yeah, I'm tired. It's my point, and I'm glad you reckon now.
I don't know.
Something about hearing somebody actually appreciate the work we did made me be like, oh shit, yeah, it's been a lot of work and we been going at it for a while. You know, we didn't take a lot of time off this year.
No, we did not.
You know, I thought it was important that we, you know, contextualize the stuff and spread the word. And it was a lot of mints information, a lot of bad faith actors, a lot of people being taken in by this shit. You know, we had people right up in here like, oh what does this really mean? And you know, we did our fucking best, man, and it just fucking sucks to know that they don't care that it was better. They cared it it was black. Yes, Linda says athletes and medical ads. You made this joke a while ago. But I remember when you said you could tell what kind of medical conditions you're gonna have based on the athletes. A certain ads today out saw ads for joint supplements featuring Tony Hawk as a nineties kid. I guess I better start repairing for joint information.
So but you better put them skateboards down.
Just kidding, pretty sure already have that anyway as an ad made me laugh because I remember that joke you made. Thanks a good laughs always, Yeah, that's the lash shit real as fuck, man, Because I'll be looking up there. Now I'll be like, what the fuck is Alan Irvison doing in this right?
Nah?
Not you?
Oh No, that means I'm own. That means I'm old.
When you start seeing yr superstars, you'll be like, Oh, that means I'm old.
What Keana says? And Pisa was playing in our faces? Hey, guys, get caught up on shows. Let me tell you something. It's a DC girl. There are three things we do not play about. We don't play about Mumbo sauce. We don't play about Go Go music, rest in peace, Chuck Brown, and we do not and they all cats. We do not play about marrying motherfucking berry. You will get ate up for trying to slander any of those three, but especially the third. In my lifetime, that man has been the only mayor willing to go down twelve or more rounds for the poor people in DC. His summer job program for kids kept many of us off the streets and out of trouble. His heavy investment in getting black people jobs in the government helped the boast of the black middle class in DC in the nineties. He had his vices, and he loved the ladies well. He loved our city more and he will suit up the ride at dawn for him. We will that man is dead and in the ground, and he is still the mayor and measuring stick. All others are rated against. Like Rod said, there's a reason our parents and grandparents lined up to vote for him at the situation at the Vista Hotel. Right, he was a great mayor, and much of his legacy, including the civil rights work he did with MLK and John Lewis, gets overlooked in the long run, and PISA will be okay. They've been known for snarky marketing, but this was too far and I can only hope they learned to respect the culture the people DC area next time. Writing in this before election day, I'm hopeful that by the time you read this, Kama Harrison be parents an elect as a black woman. This election season has been hard. Not much happened that I didn't expect could happen. But the over woman am out of BS is me feeling burnt out and exhausted emotionally. Finally finding out that the comedian was really prepared to stand in front of that audience and call VP Harrison cunt enraged me. The nerve Tucker costing to call her low IQ when she is the only person in the least modern history and the only black woman who has served in all three branches of government as appalling. Meanwhile, Donald Trump is lookally saying he is okay with sniper shooting members of the press and palding around with Elon Musk a man buying votes out of the open. All the quiet things have been said out loud this campaign season, and we didn't have that version to this BFF. To be fucking for real, he could actually use this as an opportunity to give live up to our greatest potential per uh, to per the usual y'all's coverture of selections like it has been on point. You served as a space of brevity and honesty, which we need. I hope when it's over, you guys take a few days yourself, because no matter who when is, we would need to be guarded up for the next chapter. I love you, Keana, thank you, And I haven't decided what, but yeah, I need a break. I don't know how I will figure it out. Yeah, it's just it's just a lot. It's just a lot, and try to see this thing through and obviously need you know, life's gonna go on either way. But god damn, this ship was just it was. It wasn't just draining, but it was draining and scene for no reason like to do all of this, to know what is right, to point out what is so wrong, and to have people playing in your face at the end of the day telling you it's about some shit that you know it's not about. I'm not going through this with y'all.
Do not lie to me.
Like I said, if you don't say racism, bigotry and autumnisms, we can't talk.
If you're not willing to start there.
Everything else is an excuse because, like Roger said, all you gotta do is ask one more question, and if you asked an extra question, there's nothing else there but that.
Yeah, there's one more question. Every article I seeing covered they still won't go to that one more question. And why those white people that way? No, Oh, they must have been turned off by the misinformation. They get a lot of misinformation where they get a misinformation from oh with Fox and one American News. Now, why are they susceptible to misinformation from those sources?
Right?
What are those sources promote that they like that makes them overlook the fact that they're being lied to.
It's a hell of a drug, super racist.
Halloween is playing Pittsburgh. Oh, this person sent me the uh okay, oh this is just about that float. We saw that already. Oh don't remember what this is about? The beat? Oh, our girl said the Karen be fucking.
Knowing what I be knowing, not fucking knowing what I be knowing.
That's my girl said, say, y'all both be knowing, but you get it. Karen been saying this would be the outcome, And something about that made me comfortable accepting the doom that I felt the day Joe dropped out. I gave VP Hairs one hundred percent, but I knew, we knew it had to be a white man. Yep, those are the rules. Those are the rules.
I didn't make them rules up, but like this, y'all told me dealing with the rules. If y'all I'm gonna keep reading. If y'all don't want no white woman, I know y'all don't want no nigga, and I will fucking.
Stand behind that. I will go fucking ten toe down. I was like, I hope y'all proved me wrong, But I said, if y'all didn't want that. Wait, bitch, y'all'm not gonna take nobody else.
Yep, thank you for allowing us your immediate reaction because I felt it too. I don't know what to do with this rage. Rest and refusal is all I got, as much as the show is a part of what keeps me saying, make sure y'all do what y'all need to do to be well with love so much respect Shi. Yeah, man, I'm glad that next day we had a Hornets game to go to, and I'm not gonna lie, man. That morning, I woke up and I felt cold. I felt like that since Chad with Boseman died and I I really thought, like, man, I'm gonna just stay in all day, like I don't want to see about being around nobody. I don want to talk to anybody about this ship. I don't. I don't even know if I was capable of talking about it with anybody that uh wasn't one hundred percent within my circle of trust because I didn't trust myself to say shit that that that that I wouldn't regret later. And we went on to the Hornets game, man, and I'm glad we did because I had a great fucking time.
It wouldn't it.
They didn't, not just because they won, which was awesome. On the last second shot, that was awesome. But you know, like being around people, basketball fans, a lot of black people. You know, basketball is kind of a good catch all type of environment because most of the time NBA fans are the cool people, even the white people that are NBA fans. If you're going to do a percentage of like is this white person cool or not? NBA fan, white person high higher percentage of being cool compared to any other sport, like for NFL white person. That don't mean anything. That could be anybody. They could be Nick Bosa, but you know, you don't have a Nick Bosa of NBA. Like there's no white guy wearing MAGA shit in the NBA. Like it's you know, there's black lives matter on the court. You know. Only higher percentage I think is probably w NBA fans where it's like, I know, I'm amongst the people up in this bitch. So man, it was good to be around some people that was kind of all going through it but all having a good time. I was out there fucking high five and strangers and shit that I don't know.
It was fun all out of character.
Yeah. I needed that shit, so yeah, anyway, it made me just think, like I'm glad I got that lesson that night. My joy does not stop.
Nude, life does not stop.
My resilience does not stop. No, my life does not stop. My fund doesn't stop.
Nope. And and for me, y'all, twenty sixteen taught me that.
And like I said, it was one of them things where, like I said, the feeling that some people are feeling now, I felt that in twenty sixteen.
Helena's right saying thank you for giving us free loaders the pre game, Dear Karen and Rod, I haven't listen, yeah, but thank you for making it available to gin Pop Jin pop. Y'all ain't prison. I did want. I did want to hear what you hear hear from you post election cordially, Helena, thank you, Elena, thank you. Let's see I think this is your niece. I hope I'm saying that right. Uh, thank you, Ryding, Karen and Justin for the post election podcast. I can't comprehend while so many people set this election out, a lot of less people came out to vote the last time we are are still Italian votes. We'll get the final results.
What I heard was that.
The election numbers are about in line with twenty twenty, so we'll see. I don't know if that like, I don't know. That's the thing about, you know, and we knew it would take days. It's just they called it. They apparently they knew enough to call it almost immediately, but they don't know the final tally. And there's still races that are actually contested and being called now. I think there was like a race in Nevada or something that got called this morning. I was like, damn, y'all still going. But y'all knew Kamla Lass right away. Damn them people racist, right, Kamla was an excellent candidate, and there's American people's fault that she's not our president. Although I didn't expect the MAGA movement at the end, I didn't expect Dump as number forty seven. Even Dump didn't expect this win.
So he was getting stopped.
Still narrative part two and lawyers to get the work. Yeah, it was so funny that morning he was saying the numbers were wrong and he was going to contest it. That's crazy. This is a crazy thing we're experiencing. That day of the election that he won, he was like, they about to steal my election, and we need to be ready to fight. I don't like the way to turn out numbers is looking.
It's looking like they like he thought she was gonna challenge it, not because he thought you were gonna challenge.
I think he really thought he was gonna lose. I think I just I don't know what the fuck happened other than white people. You explain this to me in a way that don't implicate white people wouldn't vote for a black woman. I'm sorry when dumbminus Corney started acting the polities people start feeling temporary hardships that must promise. I don't want to hear have no words. Take care of yourselves, at each other best and thank you, Detroit retire sim says Hey, Rod and Karen. I want to say I really appreciate you making a pregame episode available for everyone. I was one of the people that understood the majority of population leaning towards racism, misogynyt's beliefs, but I did not think they would allow someone so flawed in many ways to be elected president again. I really believe that most of the people out there thought the Vice President Harris was going to win regardless. However, like me, they didn't understand how deep the racism misogy goes in America. So the only thing I'm going to do is back, sit back, and watch everyone who voted for him and did not vote for her. They own this. We will just start our checklist or all the things he's going to do to roll back or eliminade, just to name a few, Department of Education, Department of Hell, FEMA, Ukraine, Affordable Care Act and Medicaid Union, social security negation, negotiating drug prices. This includes rolling back to costs of insulent for seniors, mass deportation, terriffs. Yeah, and you could keep going that's what's crazy. You could keep going that New Green Deal shit is over for real. You could keep going, dog, it's not. Department of Justice is done, like they gonna be fighting on the other side that when he was in office, they was fighting against trans people. There are many more, but you and I do not have the time to go through the long list. Exactly like you, I don't have to go into a job so I can avoid direct confrontation with people in discussions about this topic.
However, I do expect the people are going to.
Be wearing their make America Great Again paraphernalia, and they have right to they want. If the election had gone the other way, I'll be out here wearing my Kamala four to seven shirts and hats too, Bitch, I'm still wearing them. I'm gonna be out here. Fuck though I like so what I wasn't wrong, I wasn't wrong. I'm be wearing my comality. So I'm not going to be get upset and I'm not going to let it bother me when I see that. Finally, I saw a headline on my Alexis show that I keep right in front of me on my kitchen table. That said, Charlemagne stated that all we can do is hope for the best. That sounds so idiotic to me. What we can expect is for him to do exactly what he said he is going to do, given that he has the Supreme Court, both the House and the Senate. They are correct and saying that he has a mandate. Yeah, and people like Charlemagne will aid Trump because he will want he will blame Democrats for this, and then he'll spend every day of Trump being fucked up, saying that it's something about how Democrats allowed this to happen. It will never be you know, I ate it and a bedded this motherfucker and or just putting it straight at his feet, like no, Trump is responsible for this, and so it's the GOP because we would think the same thing of Kamla Harrison had controlled the House. Sitting in the Supreme Court. Once again, thanks for the episode. You're welcome, Phil so Less says hi Rod and Karen. First, I want to send my love to Karen. I know last time that demon was elected, how she how she said, how angry and upset she was, and black woman, a black woman. I don't know how you are taking it this time, but wanted to just acknowledge that particular place black women find themselves. Thank you, Rod for doing all you doing. Certainly I'm sending you good thoughts as well. Thank you. I mean, you know it is what it is. I know by the time, it's just funny because you're talking about Karen, and Karen's very much like I've been through this. I'm good and I'm the one.
That's like I was crying in bed.
She's like can you too right? You know, good Thomps. I know by the time you get the emails you have discussed a lot. I've been going back and listening to help. This quote is from Giovanni Racism one on one, in which what an essays talk about America. Should this experiment go forth and prosper, we will have offered humans a new way to look at life. Should it fail, we will simply go the way of all feel civilizations. The spirituals teach us that the problem of the twentieth century is not the problem of the color line. The problem of the twentieth century is the problem of civilizing white people. I can't say I'm not a conspiracy theorist, because I actually am. But and that's why I love certain types of movies and TV shows. And that's what's wrong with opening your third and what's wrong with opening your third out? She said Q Cairn's music. Anyway, There's a reason Donor class billionaires certain celebrities. White Democratic politicians went out to Joe Biden back in June twenty twenty four and wanted to go around VP Harris why they didn't want to close ranks to push through one bad debate and even concerns to just support the ticket and have beat that demon before. There was a reason that the only constituency they stood by Joe Biden's side and after that was black people in VP Harris that are now shifting the VP Harris and the campaign like they did something wrong while not saying shit about what they did. F you Pelosi, now, don't get me wrong. I was an OGVP Harris supporter, and after they pushed him out to be VP Harris and the black women and black men who rallied behind her and did the right things, she did run a great campaign and did more than one hundred days, more than one hundred days than any of her detractors. There also were reasons that Apartheid, Clyde Bezos, and the other foreign adversaries all conspired together with the mainstream media to really prop up forty five to even get him close. I'm not convinced that all the tech bros couldn't manipulate voting machines with the technology they have at their disposal and conclude that with foreign actors that are even more sophisticated in their methods distill it. They stole it once and tried a second time they why wouldn't the third time be the charm? Now, white people in Latinos and some other POC contingent will support white supremacy always, so not surprised. But I was on the ground out here in PA Canvas, and I'm telling you Shapiro is a punk. He knows something is not right, but he is too chicken shit to do anything about it. I'm not a huge fan of Philly Da cast Nerve for some other reasons, but let me tell you I appreciate he's not a punk and try to do something about a part time Clyde even though the judge struck it down. I'm mad at Joe in the DNC. They should be failing filing lawsuits to ask for recounts everywhere like the Republicans did in twenty twenty. I don't know if I'm reading it to it, but I think VP Harris is willing to try to challenge the people are talking out of it, which is disappointing anyway. All we gud is us. Y'all take care of each other. Shout out to the chat room and the blackout Tis listeners. Thank you. Polani says from Pilani, Lady of DEI. I tried to lead this as a voicemail I couldn't do with our crime. My day job is a VP of DEI for Global Live Events and Sports company. This work is lonely but so necessary. We have made changes since I joined five years ago that I'm proud of, but some days it's work questions on spirit. I've been in this space for over twenty five years. Yeah, I look young because our agent don't raising and my jokes about House of the Dead Lord then y'all always made me laugh. Oh, your jokes about it make me laugh today. I want to thank you for leveraging your platform for encouraging people to vote. You should you share facts and data and cut through messy marketing campaigns and try to enlighten people. The results of the presidential election made me cry. This country showed that racist, misogynist ass to the world. I appreciate you and Karing you provide this VP of d I, who is a child of immigrants, inspiration and much needed laughter. It's time to mer and the rest and I won't stop working to create access to underrepresented, underresourced communities. Sending aloha. Oh it's plani. Oh I've been saying it wrong. But then she wrote a bunch of Hawaiian stuff at the end that I know, I'm a fuck up and I'm sorry. But then she had a quote that said, it is through the way that you serve others that your greatness will we felt. So I'm assumed that's what that meant. And thank you, thank you for listening, thank you for writing then, and yeah, thank you for your work. Man. I don't, like I said, I'm not looking at it like this work is over, it's done. I mean, we resistance just gonna look different. We don't even know what it's gonna look like yet. Nope, Like people already talking about don't give up. I'm like, I don't even know why y'all think if I gave up, I'll.
Be dead, Ain't That's the truth. That's that's something that I just I just can't do. And once you've been through enough elections and you've seen that the person that you voted for loss, is that the first time the person I've voted for loss in my lifetime. It's been several of them during my lifetime. Once you've kind of been through the cycle and you kind of understand white people and how they function and all that shit. You go, Okay, we lost one. Now it's time to buckle up and fight more like. The giving up part is what people do when they don't really know how to respond to losses and losing.
Yeah, I wake up with I wake up with love and hope in my heart. Yeah.
I can't do it any other way because because.
That's what gives me up in the morning. So I can't. I y'all will see, y'all, I will see. It's just the show's gonna be the show. I think you know. It's not the end of the world. Steph says, hey, y'all, I know y'all will be getting a shit ton of message, so I'll keep it short. But yeah, everyone has stink pieces about her losing the on Lite people who are calling her killer, telling us it's not the vote, never talked about policies and now writing poems about black women. She didn't have a primary, a dumb excuse. Trump didn't primary either, He just put his name on the battle and refused the debate. Right, These people are fucking idiots. They keep making excuses and they don't even understand how willfully played. They are just say that it's okay to these white people are racist and we need to embrace it, because that's what you're saying. What's her policies? People ask, People didn't care, didn't watch a video? She went, Everyone explained, right, I would have I would have loved twenty five K credit for a credit for us first time home. She offered child tax credit or income tax taxing and rich and not the poor, new tax playing for the middle class, not the one Trump put in that benefited billionaires that won't expire her to twenty twenty five. He offered concepts of a plan and new scapeghos to hate. Oh, she's not well spoken word salad, a lawyer, prosecutor, not well spoken, right, And he was. And she just didn't lie enough, didn't do enough blood libel, not enough scapegoes, not enough pussy grabbing for them. You watch a YouTube video and a commercial is how brown person gonna come kill your white wife? How do you fight a dirty ass man like this who has no shame, who nobody holds it any regard. He bathes and hate and decidesty and like a pig in the mud, every fobal given. I listened to Alive, where a white woman said she didn't vote, and now she's worried about Department of EDYU being shut down because she's a teacher. This was this is one because of ignorance, every kind of ignorance. People listening to Joe Rogan and right wingbs. I thought the other minorities, not the white Cubans and some agents would have held her down. She offered everything they said, and she said they said, no, it's hard not to take this person as a black woman. Why we hated so much? I'm sorry, this is long. It's all good stuff. C Ford says, Hey, and Karen, well, I guess we know for sure this country stands on glass. Rod said something about not being ashamed of having helped, and the immediate after math I felt so stupid. I kept telling myself I knew better, I know this country and how the worst default of white and this works here. But then I remember when she was first announced that afternoon before the zoom call, I was honestly worried. I've been with Commas since twenty nineteen election, but I saw even some of the most staunched Khi people were expressing concern about her being put in the almost impossible run in this election. Then there were folks who of the push Biden out talking heads who, after the shock wore off of Biden's endorsement and the ruined plans for their open convention, told us, oh, I can't believe y'all are too cynical to believe this country elected would elect a black woman. We elected a black man twice. It was never that we tricked ourselves. Many of us were told and assured that our concerns were just in our head. So it's especially funny seeing those same people now finding every way to blame her, the Democrats in this campaign for this loss, that she was pushed off the glass cliff, just as we initially thought, like salt in a wound, because it feels like a prolonged gaslight. I saw Torey explaining to us apparently clueless Americans that fifteen million Americans stay home because of genocide, and I'm wondering why they are getting this cover with absolutely no data points or reason they set out. I guess that assignment of a solid support works when you want to use this time of grieving the lecture people. Yeah, that's the thing. None of them can present any factual evidence that that's what's happening, and all of them have different reasons. So some people will say it's the economy, Others will say it's because of Palestine. Someone else will say it's because of immigration. They all got some different fucking reason, and none of them starts with it's those voters don't have a problem with Trump right. Meanwhile, I've seen people say they didn't show up because they thought she had it in the bag, others quite literally saying a woman shouldn't be in charge. All of it anecdotal and projection. We truly know what they want because they did not show up up. We know that millions of people who have slowed themselves off from politics so much that they have to google who was running for president's dead election. We know that there were millions of Google hits on what is a tariff? After that man won, I think people forgot. The last few elections have had record breaking numbers. The numbers aren't only showing to realignment to the right, but a return to apathy. Yet, somehow, the campaign and influencers who did challenge Men's information, the celebrities spoke out, and the voters saw the danger tried to stop it. The ones who did the work are to blame. Yeah, I think that's the most insulting part. And that's why a lot of us are like, Oh, Okay, I'm the problem.
Fix it, yep, you fix it. Don't call me, you fix it.
I don't know what I'm doing.
Apparently, if I'm the problem, don't ask me to do another motherfucking thing.
Y'all got this. I was in the way. I get it.
Now.
I'm part of the problem, guys. I'm part of the establishment. I'm a low information black voter. What I think is stupid. It don't matter. I don't know what I'm talking about. What then, you fucking get it, egghead, You got it right.
You don't need me.
I've just been fucking you up right, So run the Pro Palestine Party, run the fucking whatever your cause was, Run the Pro Economy Party. I swear to God, I'll never get in your way again.
You got this, You got this. But you calling me foe? Yeah, got you?
That was the problem with Then If I'm the problem, why would you want me part of the be part of the solution.
Since you know every damn thing.
You don't need my work, you don't do the work.
Right, you gonna go out into these neighborhoods, right, everybody that was using their voice to spread the work, y'all got y'all gonna do that.
Y'all gonna step up, right, you're gonna be knocking on doors, right, We're not needed here when y'all not. So you got it, baby, Hey, and good luck with that.
I know what's gonna work out for all of us. Hey, I'm I'm glad we had just came to Jesus moment. Ray, go get them to right. You got a big man, you know better, right, and then you just gonna pop up four years later like that's the other reason we lost, Okay, And I don't want to see you crying every day that this fucking thing. You remember, you got the plan, you gonna fix it. So just get out there and be hopeful, optimistic and show us that you got all the fucking answer.
I don't want to see you crying every day.
Yeah, I don't want hear you complain abott them.
Nah, you got it.
It's democrats fault.
Right, Next time, Supreme Court do something. Next time they passing all these wildlass. Next time, you ain't got now where to live because you don't have no rent control you got it so on us.
But yeah, uh did the work. Uh Now now the know it all Pride bros who helped USh your body out, not talking heads who now say there needs to be an apparatus like Fox for the left. But the ones that were there to spend the time both side and everything, not the pures who immediately criticize the use of payment of social media influencer certainly got the people who couldn't even be bothered to show up and put in on this. If I could say, find a bright note, it would be seeing more black men and and say a loud in these internet spaces where it praas needed the most that we aren't falling for this gender division anymore. I've seen black people organize and hold the line in a way to feel my heart. Yeah, man, honestly man, black men for Harrison, black women for Harris that win with black men, win with black women. I appreciate that work. I really do. On another show at some point, I will probably do a very deep dive, long discussion of how this election reframed and put Obama in even higher respect for me than ever before, and put his detractors in even lower respect than I've ever had for them before, like I have contempt for them now because he actually played the game and played chess, and y'all still think it's checkers. Yes, y'all don't even understand. Y'all literally do not understand this country. If you think there was some other pro blacker way he could have ran this in one, then you are feeling yourself. You believe in these white people too much. Yes, it breaks my heart to say that, but that's what it is. Y'all believe in these motherfuckers too much. If you think he was supposed to get up there and be the black right, the black militant guy that you think he was supposed to be out of nowhere. If you thought he was gonna be that guy and still get to be the president, then you the fool, and you are. I can't. I can't convince a fool of their fool. I just gotta shake my head like, okay, cool, that's what you think. I've seen black people organize. Hold the line a way to feel my heart. Also been enjoying the light ribbing humor coming from D nine to aka HBCUs with Howard. I love the light from our community. So I'm hold under that. Thank y'all for having a show to keep the main focus the spells of bs and shines a lot of human and truth with human truth. Thanks for the chat room as well. Y'all are best having good weekend cast always. Thank you, and I think she even donated to the show this week. Thank you for the donation. All Right, I think this is the last one John right saying good morning, rideing Caracaud those is on this rushing election. I'm guessing by the time you read this, you'll be roughly seventeen hours in this particular feedback show. You ain't never lie, so I'll save all my thoughts for the election America. I dumbass electorate for a later day, but I do want to send a virtual do y'all everyone listen. Is extremely difficult, scary time on a lighting note.
Ride.
Your logic on the avoiding potlugs makes all the sense in the world. I've never even really thought about the whole getting sick ang before, because well, you know how we white man de splunking, camping and bears with bears, et cetera.
Ah, that's hilarious. Yeah, y'all, y'all ain't been thinking about shit like that.
Y'all be eating bears and shit. You know one of the I think y'all Robert F. Kennedy Junior is supposed to be in charge of the health in America after this, so we're gonna all find out.
Chat I thought about it. I said, well, I guess I'd be.
Getting out here and getting fit and getting my six pack getting strong because Chat, I don't never know I'm having to wrestle the bear down for dinner.
We love to overlook the obvious daily risk lol. But one reason I'm glad I was more adventurous with respect the obst potless that I hadn't. If I hadn't been, I would have never gotten to taste Gallia's homemade pancheat and Lupia Filipino glass noodles and egg rolls. I never would have gotten to try my Mexican coworker's homemade to Molly's cooked with what I believe I believe to the recipe straight from the Mexican homeland. I had several food items that I never would have tried and certainly wouldn't have made home made versions of them had I not taken a risk, not to mention, imagine how racist I would have looked turning them down. Oh John, Oh that yeah, Oh, I'll see what the confusing is. It's funny. I didn't even think to clarify the whole time we were talking about black people were at no point that I think white people shouldn't go to the pot lugger eat the black people and brown people food. Y'all are obviously winning in this exchange. The whole time I was talking, I was like, Oh, it's crazy, that's wild. I had never even considered that needed clarification.
But yeah, no, it don't work for us, It don't work for us.
Yeah. Like I said, I find the black lady that I work with that's been there for a while, and if there is food that I should try, she normally give me the like so and so collar greens. It is good. This motherfucker right here. Don't try that macaren cheese. She on the dog, She let the dog be on the counter. All that stuff to me is just white white people shit like the Yeah. No, I've even plenty of black people's food that get together. Yeah, I mean, you know, we wash our chicken, don't you know? Anyway, ps Rod, did you watch the Meninda's Brother series on Netflix, Yet I watched like one episode. I haven't gotten that far in it. As a fan of Diamond Forsachi murdercies, I think you would enjoy it as another example Ryan Murphy true crime series at its best. Y'all love Ryan Murphy true crime stuff. I've heard mixed reviews on them me Ninda's Brothers Joint, but I think one of the reviews is from Jail Covan, so I'm not I can't trust reviews because he wouldn't even like south Side, which is one of the most unforgivable.
South Side is the fucking best.
Like that was like, you know, he's a you know how they say like Blade is a day walker, you know, all of our strengths, none of our weaknesses. I like to call Jail Coven a night sleeper. You know, all of our weaknesses, none of our powers. Sometimes he'll say a review and I'm like, maybe he's right. Then it's just like so I will check it out for myself, because Ryan Murphy normally does at least a good job, Like not every series gotta be like award winning the best, but he's very rare. I watch a Ryan Murphy true crime series and goal, oh shit, he shipped the bed on this one. Let's see. In addition to being fascinating, dark twisted, extremely well acted, great costume soundtrack, it is also surprisingly funny. Yeah, I mean, look, Ryan Murphy, shit is gonna be dark humor and it's gonna be gay them, two things that man don't never let leave on the table. He said, I'm shooting these bullets hanging. Everyone, be good to yourselves. Love y'all. Thanks, Ram and so on left another comment on YouTube. You're exactly right. I am done. I said as much in a work meeting yesterday when I came to our sad di efforts and white women were like, that's not fair, exactly goodbye? All right, what are ending?
All right, y'all?
Thanks for listening.
We'll be y'all.
We may take some time off so at least I can't imagine. I mean, I'm sure I'll feel better tomorrow and less drained, but we may need to take at least a few days. I'm your boy, tired, fam, Yes, sir, and yeah, we'll be back until next time. I love you. Bye, everybody, have a good one. Talk to you later.
