Since 1928 when Fritz Pfleumer developed paper tape coated with iron oxide powder and soon after BASF started manufacturing magnetic recording tape based on Pfleumer's design, along with the work of early Musique Concrète pioneers such as Pierre Schaeffer, the use of sampling in music was inevitable!
