In this episode of The Bible Explained, Job's friend Eliphaz speaks up, and it's a masterclass in how NOT to comfort a friend:
Eliphaz calls Job a hypocrite for helping others through suffering but falling apart when it's his turn.
"Isn't your piety your confidence?" -  Why this is the prosperity gospel, and why the whole book of Job is a war against it.
Eliphaz says God is quick to anger and strikes people down, but Psalm 103 says Yahweh is merciful, gracious, and slow to anger.
A secret spirit visits Eliphaz in the night, and he can't discern what it is. How do we test the spirits?
Do we perish without God ever regarding it? Jenn exposes the lies wrapped in a little bit of truth.

Join Jenn as she reminds us that God isn't hidden or a secret. He's close, He's listening, and He cares deeply for you.
