Patrick Madrid’s show got a little extra dose of sweetness when 7-year-old Camilla called in from California to ask a deep question: “What is an angel and how are they made?”
Patrick jumped right in, explaining to Camilla (and all of us listening!) that angels are pure spirits: think super smart, super strong beings that don’t need to sleep, eat, or even take a break. They’re kind of like us in that they’re “persons,” but they don’t have bodies. So, while they sometimes appear as men when God sends them to help us, they’re actually neither male nor female. 👼
Patrick went on to describe how God gives each angel special missions, like watching over us as guardian angels. Camilla was reminded that her guardian angel has been assigned by God just to look after her! Patrick explained that her angel helps her avoid sin and draws her closer to Jesus if she asks for help: pretty awesome spiritual buddy to have, right? 😇
Camilla also wanted to know if saints have seen angels. Patrick told her that yes, some saints have been blessed to see angels when God allows it, though angels are usually invisible because they’re pure spirits. Sometimes, he added, angels even disguise themselves as regular people to help us out in surprising ways: a little “heavenly assist” here and there. 🕊️
Final Thought: We may not see our angels now, but when we get to heaven, we’ll be surrounded by saints and angels, all worshipping God together! 🥳
