You can tell AI to remember your preferences — no profanity, no morally objectionable content, avoid overused words like “guidance,” format answers a certain way — and it will try to stay within those guardrails.

That’s essentially what many Catholic‑branded apps are doing. A group or apostolate can set parameters: give pride of place to the Catholic Encyclopedia, certain Bible translations, or the Church Fathers; add Scripture verses or links to their website; present answers in a particular style. Patrick is quick to stress he’s not knocking this work. On the contrary, he’s glad to see Catholic groups harness powerful engines to bring people well‑curated information.
