🙏 The Roots: Where Did the Stations Come From?

 

Fr. Kris Stubna takes us way back to the early Church: 

 

Pilgrims in the 4th century were already retracing Jesus’ steps in Jerusalem after Constantine legalized Christianity.

 

Mary herself is believed to have revisited the places of Jesus’ Passion. Imagine that. Our Blessed Mother quietly, faithfully walking those paths of suffering again.

 

This was a pilgrimage... a way to embody what Jesus went through, to let His Passion move from head knowledge into heart transformation.

 

The Franciscans brought it to life in Europe when travel to the Holy Land wasn’t an option anymore. They made it real, everywhere, so the Church could keep walking with Jesus.

 

 

It's Not Just a Devotion... It’s an Encounter

 

Like Jesus said: “Follow me.”

 

We follow with our feet, with our hearts, and with our tears.
