Round The Bend Now & Then: Rum Village & Storyland Zoo

This week was stupendous! We kicked it off with a recap of the incredible South Bend Police Department's Annual Summer Cookout where we wanted to know, "What does summer smell and taste like? If summer had one rule, what would it be?" The answers were incredible, and one even inspired a game to give Riley Green tickets away! 

We announced that Dustin Lynch is coming to the Blue Gate, and gave away the very first pair of tickets to Taylor! 

There is a new feature with local Michiana historian Matt Emery, called Round The Bend Now and Then and we learned that a crowd funded zoo once stood in the grounds of Rum Village Park! 

Dan Masters will portray Maxie Dean in Beetlejuice, and we LOVED his pre-radio stories and energy! We love when Broadway comes to South Bend! 

Reed and his wife Steffi celebrated their 4th anniversary, and while she knew she was coming in for a fun game, what she didn't know is that there was a surprise Anniversary scavenger hunt to celebrate!

On Friday we were so blessed to welcome Redd Faye from Oklahoma for an incredible in studio performance ahead of her show in Elkhart! 

Every day is so much fun, and we love that you are a part of it!

The Best of the B100 Morning Show: 6/19/26

He earned his stripes on Broadway… now the ghost-with-the-most is coming to South Bend. 

It’s showtime! Based on Tim Burton’s dearly beloved film, this hilarious musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes. With an irreverent book, an astonishing set, and a score that’s out of this Netherworld, BEETLEJUICE is “SCREAMINGLY GOOD FUN!” (Variety). And under its uproarious surface (six feet under, to be exact), it’s a remarkably touching show about family, love, and making the most of every Day-O!

 

Brittney had the chance to speak with one of the stars, Dan Mason who portrays Maxie Dean!
