Talking about the ponies. Well come in the beginning of another week of the Benmahlor Show. We are in the air everywhere, right at the doorstep as we deliver happiness to your audio device unless we know coast, the coast, border, the border, and beyond on the mast and classically powerful microphones of f M monating live from the deck of cards as we call a spade a spade. That's right. We're broadcasting live from the tyraq dot com studios tyrack dot com. We'll help you get there an unmatched selection, fast, free shipping, free road hazard protection, and over ten thousand recommended in stars tyrack dot com the way tire buying should be. We have a coaching change in the NFL. We'll get to that coming up in a couple of minutes. But our lead this hour is from Sunday Night Football. Why we are told that it just matters more that Sunday Night is the showcase. It's an island game, living the island life only game. Everything else is done. You got one game all by its lonesome there on Sunday Night Football. Mike Tariko, Chris Consworth, We're there for the Peacock folk as Joe Flacco. That was the big storyline, Joe Flacco taking over as the starter for the Colts against Sam Donald and the Vikings Minnesota on a two game losing stream where you watching what else was there to why there was nothing else to watch? There was nothing. I mean, if you're into sports, there's nothing else that was it? So you probably were, but maybe not. Sam Donald played like a guy that saw ghosts and it didn't even matter. Sam Donald overcame four sacks and three turnovers by throwing not one, not too but three second half touchdown passes in the Minnesota defense, running around and through Joe Flacco in his return to the starting job as the Vikings get a twenty one to thirteen win in the Sunday Night game, Justin Jefferson one hundred and thirty seven receiving yards, a lot of big plays for the Viking offense. There as Minnesota after the two games losing streak to the Lions and the Rams, they now are six and two. The better story is in the losing locker room. And so that is where we will focus in on. Where does Joe Flacco's performance leave the Colts. So I've got rocking chair, pizzeria, and scientific method, and we will combine all of these things together and we will say turn out the last the parties over. Wow. All right, So anyway you slice this anyway at all, it was a rough performance and unacceptable. Unacceptable that's the word I will use. That Indy cleared the runway for Joe Flacco to take off. I don't have a problem with that move. That's the better move because Anthony Richardson pretty much benched himself right unceremoniously taking himself out of that game last week. You can't do that. He did the thing you can't do it at the time, you can't do it. So he ends up benching himself. Joe Flacco had to play, and Flacco played like a rocking chair. Meaning he gave the impression Joe Flacco while he was out there of constant motion, but much like a rocking chair, he wasn't going anywhere. Neither was the Indianapolis offense going anywhere. The only touchdown that Indy scored was courtesy of a boomboo by Minnesota, a mistake. Joe Flacco finished the game with one hundred and seventy nine yards passing. That's it, no touchdowns, didn't score a touchdown on offense, one interception, and a passer rating of sixty three point seven, and he was also sacked three times, a couple of sacks late in that game. And Indies offense continues to be a ghost ship, just an empty vessel found out floating adrift on the sea of the NFL. Just bad. They had two hundred and twenty seven yards of offense as a team, only thirteen first downs but twelve really because one was gained via penalty from Minnesota, and only six points. That's it. That's all for Indye. With Joe Flacco at quarterback and the Vikings, I thought they had a good defense. We talked about him a lot on the TV show about how I liked Brian floor's defense, and they were exposed the last couple of weeks by the Lions and the Rams. But now they they're feeling good again, all right now, page two, the Vikings stopped the bleeding of the two game losing streak. The other side here they stopped the bleeding. But what is your position on Sam Donald's play for the Purple People eaters at six and two? So I was even in victory being fair. If you're a Viking fan, it's demoralizing. It is absolutely demoralizing, because if Sam Donald was a pizzeria, his performance would be Shaky's. And I'm not talking about the mojo potatoes. Oh, he was serving up turnovers like they serve up those mojo potatoes. Because man, you cannot take the Vikings seriously. They'll be a playoff team. In fact, they have three games coming up which they should win all three and get to nine and two if they just take care of business. That aside, though, I don't take them seriously. The Sam Donald reliability score is very low, and that is a deal breaker in big games. You can't rely on them. You can't you can win against those mid teams and the culture in that mid to bag tier the weaker opponent. You'll be okay there. But in keey Mole Mids, the Vikings at some point are going to play a team that's they play the Lions in the playoffs or who knows who. Someone will be able to force Sam Donald to make a play. And when Sam Donald has to make a play, he looks like a puppy doll, a lost puppy dog. He doesn't know where to go. He's completely flummixed. And everything is going to have to be absolutely picture perfect for this Minnesota team to go on a deep playoff run. If you need Sam Donald to make a play, if you need Sam Donald to step up, you will end up needing medication because you're going to be depressed. That's just the way it is. Now. Last word, we pivot now to Vegas and we have a coaching change in the National Football League. Now not Antonio Pierce, but after getting humiliated by the Cincinnati Bungals, the Raiders say, you know what we're gonna do. We're gonna fire one of our coaches. So they did. The wings of change are blowing in Lost Wagers, Nevada. The Raiders have said bye bye to Luke Getsey. He's out offensive coordinator fired late on Sunday night after nine games, Getsy out as Raiders offense of coordinator. They also whacked the offensive line coach, he's gone. They gave the guillotine to the quarterback coach, he's out as well. And they were also in their first seasons in lost wages Nevada. So how do you categorize the Raiders pulling the plug on offensive coordinator to Luke Getzy. So my theory is the Raiders used the scientific method here, and what is the scientific method? So the first step and these scientific method as I understand it as a sports talk radio scientist here and that's what I do here. People say, well, you're just a gas bag. Now, I say, no, I use this scientific method. I'm a sports talk scientist as what I am. So anyway, the scientific method is to make observations, but to identify a problem. And Luke Getsy was never the first choice. He's no one's first choice. He was playing b. The Raiders had a deal in place with Cliff Kingsbury, who went to Washington and then the finances didn't work out. Kingsbury the story that I heard was he at the last minute asked for more money, and the Raiders mark Davis, who's very cheap, the owner of the Raiders, I'm not gonna pay you more money. And so that he went to Washington and got more money and and so it didn't work out. The financials didn't work out, so Kingsbury left. So they had they had a finder, find somebody, and they hired this Luke Getzy, who was an abject failure in Chicago with Bears. He sucked and so the people said, well, you know it wasn't his fall. They Justin Fields is a bomb, and well, Justin Fields is a bum. But it turns out Luke Getzi's also a bum, and he's just a lousy coach. He's just bad at his job. And the Raiders find themselves two and seven, and with a little bit better offensive coaching, the Raiders should have four or five wins. Now, four or five wins ain't great, right, however, they'd still have a shot at something. They have no shot. The Raiders are done. And it's embarrassing they find me because the Raiders are they should be somewhere in that mix where they're you know, right around average with all these other teams in the NFL and they're not. And it's an another blow though for Antonio Pierce, the head coach, because clearly the owner of the Raiders, Mark Davis, is listening to the fans. I've heard stories from people around the NFL, and he's fully engaged on the social media. He reads everything, he takes every criticism literally. He's probably listening right now, Hi, Mark, although I don't think he's might not be listening because I think PF Chang's is closed at this hour on Sunday. I know he likes to go in there and eat the PF Chang So maybe he's not listening. But again, just because you identified the problem does not mean you're any closer to solving the problem. And so the Raiders find themselves in an interesting pickle. And we all know pickles are terrible, and that's where the Raiders find themselves. And I want to circle back to the Colts here. As I mentioned Joe Flacco and his issues and what's going on there with Joe Flacco, here is Flacco trying to explain what the hell happened for the Indianapolis Colts off no offensive touchdown none.

I think any time you have a day like we had to know, you're probably surprised a little bit that you weren't able to get it, because you know, they obviously did a really good job against us tonight, so you know, you know, coming in here against a team like this, it's going to be difficult. But I don't think you ever anticipates something like that.

Play at the beginning of that, he's a day, and then he said like a night and then a day. I'm trying to play it just the beginning.

Think any time you have a day like we had tonight.

Daylight we did?

What is he?

How can you have a day like we did it? Play it again?

Think any time you have a day like we had tonight.

For your probably a day like we How about if anytime we have a night like we did today during the day what play it again?

Think any time you have a day like we had tonight. We're probably surprised.

What does it even mean? I don't, I don't even Maybe that's why he sucked? Is he in the concussion protocol? Do we know? Maybe other concussion?

Think any time you have a day like we had tonight.

Set up for the collapse. Well come in the beginning of another hour of the Benmahlor Show. We are in the air eywhere, close together as we have takes made from scratch with all the finest ingredients coast to coast, border to border and beyond on the mass and harminously powerful microphones of FSR M moinating live from the burner as we burn the midnight oil. We're broadcasting live from the tyrack dot com studio. Tyrack dot com will help you get there in unmatched selection, fast, free shipping, free road hazard protection, and over ten thousand recommended and stars tyraq dot com. The way tirebind should be. JJ and Renton in Washington is me ten thousand times. He's one of the few Seahawks fans that gets it. A lot of them are delusional like Nostradinis and some mothers crying Craig. But JJ and Renton, he tells you listen that that Gino Smith guy's a bump. The guys a bum, But most Seahawks fans don't see that. Now, that is our lead from the Pacific Northwest. The game of the day, the game of the day in the NFL. The real ones know, the real ones know. Key NFC West matchup Geno Smith and the Seattle football team playing host of Matthew Stafford and the Rams. Would the Rams be able to ram it all day and a ram it all night? Were you watching to check this game out?

No?

Perhaps not. Came down to the very In fact, there was bonus time, bonus time over the time. DeMarcus Robinson, who has a wide receiver, he made a gymnastic like play a one hand catch thirty nine yard touchdown reception in over time and MS walk out of Seattle yet again in the win column twenty six to twenty. The final LA only needed a field goal to win the game, but they said, you know what we're gonna go for. That was after they stuffed Seattle on a fourth down on the first possession of overtime. Matthew Stafford went for the win. He threw the deep ball to Robinson and he got the w. So Stafford ends up with two hundred and ninety eight yards passing two touchdowns. He did have an interception. The Rams have now won three straight after losing four of their previous five games, and the La Rams are in second place in a very mediocre NFC West. And if you look at the Rams big picture here for the La Rams, pretty decent shot here. The forty Niners aren't that good. The Rams play the Dolphins next week, whose stink, then the Patriots, so they should get to six and four winning the next couple of games here, and then things get a little bit harder after that. But the Rams are set up pretty nicely, thank you very much, after an absolute terrible start at one and four on the season. The better story, though, you know where the better story is, That's right, the losing locker room. And so that is where we will focus here as a Geno Smith, what stakes, Gino Smith loss three interceptions for the Seahawks. Give me your reaction to the performance by the Seattle quarterback, Gino Smith. So I've got refresher course, Peter Parker and growth chart, and we will combine all of these things together and we are going to make a Rosetta stone, because Geno Smith, when you watch him play, it's like he's playing with a different language. You need a Rosetta stone to understand what exactly he's doing with these bonehead plays and quarterbacks. So na Gino Smith, what he did for those of you that are a little slow the twelfth Man. This was a refresher course for the good people of Seattle. It was right, you're not that guy, Pal, You're not that guy. And Gino Smith is not that guy. We've tried to tell you, said, well, you're just a RAM fan. What do you know. I am a RAM fan. I'm wearing a Rams hat right now. It doesn't matter, Okay, I'm trying to help you out. Really, what I should be doing is singing the praises of Gino Smith, because I hope he stays in Seattle for another five years. Can't play. He's not good. But yet for some there's this cloud. I don't understand. I don't get it. You're pig headed. You won't listen, and I'm glad you won't listen, because it's good. Keep sending them out there. Gino Smith gave you a refresher course. He spelled it all out for you, down to every period, explanation point, all that how to play bonehead football. Geno Smith. That was the worst meltdown we have seen by a quarterback in the NFL. They went all the way back to nineteen ninety one, never before a quarterback leading fourth quarter, not one but two interceptions inside what the ten yard line there, including one that was picked by Cam Kinchen's one hundred and three yard return pick six for the LRMS as a rookie, longest in franchise history. The two red zone interceptions in the fourth quarter that absolutely flipped the game. And he really is a RAMS MVP Gino Smith. What a performance. He makes so many mistakes? How many? Too many? He makes too many mistakes. He's a high end backup masquer rating as a starter. And it's a joke. The Seahawk franchise is in this holding pattern. They're going anywhere with this guy. They're not. They're mediocre, they're mid and yet they continue to send him out there. At bench him. He's a poverty starter. Gino Smith at bench him right now, and Seattle is entering the bye week. There's a storyline to follow here. They should bench Gino Smith. Mike McDonald, the head coach there. Defensive guru didn't look like much of a defensive guru here. But you've got Sam Howell. Not only Sam Howell's all that good either, but he deserves an opportunity. You clearly thought enough of him, you held him in high enough reguard that you traded for him in March from the Washington whatever they're called. So give him a shot, all right now? Page two to Lombo Field we go, key matchup a lot of how Tom Brady was there, big game, Tom Brady on Fox had the call there, Jared Goff and the Lions. Wasn't they statistically dominating performance in the rain? But the matter because the Lions end up pummeling the Packers. The final score not indicative. The game was not close. It was not. Twenty four to fourteen was the final which sounds like a close game. It sounds like a competitive game. It was not that. It was not a competitive game at all. So what happened to Jordan Love for the Packers in a key game at home? Small underdog or what happened? Two words? Shredded cheese? Those are the two words. Now, the Jordan Love apologist, the marching and shadow society that always apologizes for the performance of every quarterback. They will say, well, he was playing through a growin injury, okay, and there was some debate whether he's gonna play. But he played, and he said it wasn't a problem. They could have gone with Malik will this, they went with him and Jordan Love simply was not good. And if you're going to play quarterback in Green Bay, I would think you have to handle the weather. And it appeared that was a bit of a problem. But when you look down from thirty thousand feet in the sky, it's much like the advice given to the young Peter Parker in Spider Man. With great power comes great responsibility. And Jordan Love without earning the massive contract, he didn't earn it. He only played a handful of games. He didn't play the whole year last year. But yet Jordan Love was given Baker's money, second highest paid quarterback in the National Football League. He's not He's not that good. He's gotten the money, and he has verified those of us that question the packers giving him that money. He is failing and really failing and falling short of expectations. You win the turnover battle, people have said for you. You win the turnover battle, and that is an essential, fundamental old block in winning. And Jordan Love makes he makes far too many mistakes. Now He's not as bad as Gino Smith. We talked about him earlier, but if you look at what happened last year as a first year starter and what has happened this year, I'll give you some numbers to back up my point here. As a first year starter last year in Green Bay, Love was picked off eleven times in five hundred and seventy nine pass attempts. This season, in two hundred and forty pass attempts, he's got ten interceptions. Who goofed? I've got to know. Uh yeah, not good? All right? Now, final point. We heading now to the Valley of the Sun, and that is where James Connor, on a rainy day in Arizona, even in a dome, ran for one hundred and seven yards. Arizona physically manhandled what we thought was a pretty good Chicago defense. Didn't look like that at all. Twenty nine to nine, the mid Cardinal get the win in this game and the Chicago Bears only nine points. That's it. Nine points. So how do you explain Caleb Williams, who was the number one pick overall pick number one? How do you explain Kayler Williams and the Bears getting smoked by the Cardins. So this is on my report card I wrote down e emasculating. It is an emasculating loss. If you look at the growth chart, the growth chart for the Chicago Bears quarterback Kayler Williams, right now, it says stunted growth is what it says. His progress has been halted and all those good vibrations. A couple weeks back, Williams tweaked his ankle. However, his overall body of work is the problem. Caleb Williams attempted forty one passes, completed twenty two of them for two hundred and sixteen yards and a passer rating of below seventy, which is what you expect from a Bear's quarterback pretty much every year. But this guy was supposed to be different. You didn't go against a good defensive team. Arizona is not. They are not that not a good defensive team. And that is the third game now that Caleb Williams has played, completing fewer than fifty five percent of his passes, and his fourth with a passer rating under seventy. Now, I didn't play in the NFL. All I do is host an overnight show. But I think that sucks. On this side of the microphone, he blows and the offense if you look at it, all encompassing, all encompassing. Here they were held to their lowest point total of the season, the nine points. They didn't score a touchdown in the game, and they had one drive, only one drive that went past thirty five yards. And on third down they went three of fourteen against the Cardinals defense, which coming into the game was the NFL's third NFL's worst third down defense, third worst worst third down defense in the NFL Arizona and for the season, Kayleb Williams, if you look at it, he's completing less than sixty two percent of his passes and he's averaging two hundred eight yards per game. His passer rating is below eighty five. And Matt eber Fluse, the head coach of the Chicago football team, he's got some explaining to do. Yeah, there's another guy. Would anybody be shocked if the Bears fired him and just say, well, he ain't it, We're gonna get rid of him. I don't know how he kept the job. I'm why did you do that? Did anyone think he was doing a great job? I mean, won some games last year, fine, they were mediocre, But does anything. Matt eber Flues is a good coach and knows what he's doing. If you are a call up, I'd love to talk to you, because I've never talked to anyone. I've never met anyone. Maybe his family, but I don't know them. So anyone I've talked to who I think knows ball, knows football, nobody said this guy's a good coach, and yet he kept the job. And now the Bears are well, there's kind of thought they would be just not very good. And Caleb Williams doesn't appear to know what he's doing. And here we are again.

Be sure to catch live editions of The Ben Maller Show weekdays at two am Eastern eleven pm Pacific.

How about that to the third degree?

This is one big Ben, It's great.

The Coop dal Loop justin Cooper Grillam, Coop Grillam. Oh yeah, Ben.

It was reported over the weekend that if the Yankees are not able to bring back one Soto, that their plan.

B Oh, I got to hear this. Who's the plan? Pete Alonso? Oh yeah, the Polar Bear? Yeah, sure, Ben?

Do you could you see uh Peter Alonzo going to the crosstown rival.

Uh yeah, Peter Alonzo, much like Juan Soto, whoever gets the most the most bang free. But I can see one's I can see Juan Soto and Peter Alonzo playing for any team, whether it's the White Sox or the Royal whoever, whoever offers him the most money. But I would stay away from Peter Alonzo at his age. If you look at the comps on players like Peter Alonzo, it is not well. But they need stars, and so that would be if the Mets get Soto and Alonso goes to the Yankes, that would be a great story for New York Baseball, a great local story. But we're a national operation next, all right.

So also over the weekend, it was reported that the Carolina Panthers were getting calls about teams interested in Bryce Young.

Yeah, but they were rebuking offers.

And then, of course Bryce Young led the Panthers to a comeback win against the Saints.

Ben.

Do you think Bryce Young stays in the QB one spot for the rest of the season.

Well, I don't know if he's going to stay on the QB one stot. I would doubt that anyone trades anything of value for Bryce Young, and I would also be I watched this game. I had an interest in this game coop as I have an interest with all these games. I don't know that Bryce Young. I would say he played well. He had one touchdown in one inn of the game and had less than two hundred yards passing. The bar is so low for Bryce Young that you know it's if you're Carolina, you're better off playing him in spots if you plan on trading him rather than playing him all year, because you could get hurt next.

All right, So last week when the Lakers were in Cleveland, they had chance of Bronnie Bronnie. Yeah, and you know that makes sense because lebron is from the Cleveland area.

Bronnie grew up there. Sure.

But then in Toronto we also had chance of Bronnie Brownie, Ben, How do you explain this?

Social media? It is a disease. It is a mind virus. Coop social media, social media, social media, it blows. How do we know you pass Manesday? When I WoT the game at your face, Eddie, you said I was gonna lose Garcia. I want the game.
