In this episode, Ben Ferguson examines DHS claims involving the arrest of more than 2,200 known terrorists, the Trump administration’s border security approach and an Inspector General report detailing how visa overstay cases, including some deemed national security risks, were handled between 2021 and 2024.

A new claim from Homeland Security leadership is reigniting the national debate over border security, immigration enforcement, and national security. According to Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, the Trump administration has arrested more than 2,220 known terrorists inside the United States, many of whom he says entered or remained in the country during the Biden administration’s immigration surge.Ben Ferguson breaks down Mullin’s remarks and the broader implications of the figures cited by DHS. The discussion examines how suspected terrorists allegedly entered the country, the role of asylum claims and false identities, and why administration officials argue stronger immigration enforcement remains a critical national security priority. In the second half of the program, Ferguson reviews a Department of Homeland Security Inspector General report examining visa overstays between fiscal years 2021 and 2024. The report found that ICE took limited action on millions of overstay leads, including thousands categorized as potential national security or public safety concerns. Ferguson argues the findings reveal significant enforcement failures and raises questions about how immigration policies were implemented during the Biden administration.
