Konstantin Stanislavski, often simply referred to as Stanislavski, was a Russian actor, director, and theatre practitioner. Stanislavski was one of the co-founders of the Moscow Art Theatre and directed many of its early productions. He is best known for his pioneering work in the field of acting and for developing the Stanislavski system, also known as the method of physical actions or method acting.
