We were just wondering… about seagulls. We see them everywhere in Montreal all summer, but when the cold weather arrives, where do they actually go? Well, a UQAM researcher has spent years tracking thousands of our local ring-billed gulls — and it turns out some of them have very specific winter destinations, right down to the same beaches, parking lots and even fast-food restaurants. Jean-François Giroux is a retired UQAM biology professor, he spoke to Andrew Carter.
