The Chiefs have dropped to second on the Super Rugby table after an ugly 21-14 loss to the Waratahs in Sydney. 

The Crusaders are alone on top of the ladder after surviving a late fightback to beat the Hurricanes 31-24 in Wellington while down to 13 men.

After losing their second T20 clash to South Africa, they put on a strong performance last night at Eden Park to take a 2-1 lead in the series. 

They now have the chance to wrap the series up cleanly tomorrow in Wellington. 

Sophie Devine hit an unbeaten 55 off 38 balls in an unbeaten 84-run partnership with Maddy Green, and joined D’Arcy Waldegrave for a chat.

They claimed a 42-18 victory over the Roosters in Round 1 and defeated the Raiders 40-6 in Round 2 – both games won at home. 

Tonight is their first away game of the season, facing the Newcastle Knights across the ditch. 

Assistant Warriors Coach Richard Agar joined D’Arcy Waldegrave to preview the clash.
