It’s a battle of the North and South in today’s football quarter final. 

Auckland United is facing off against Christchurch United in the first of the Chatham Cup quarter finals, the Auckland team heading down south for the clash. 

Captain Ross Haviland has made over 250 appearances for the Auckland side, and joined D’Arcy Waldegrave ahead of the match.

The Warriors have won two on the trot to start off their NRL season for the first time since 2018. 

Last night’s 40-6 thrashing of the Raiders followed on from a decisive victory over the Roosters last week.  

Scores were locked at six-all due to the wet conditions, before the Warriors laid on a six-try blitz in the second spell. 

Former Warrior Motu Tony joined Piney to review the clash.

Jahrome Rapata-Taipari was the winner of the Whangarei qualifier, and joined Piney ahead of today’s Grand Final.
