Both Auckland FC and the Wellington Phoenix are in action today as part of a 10 round competition. 

Auckland FC are looking to bounce back from their crushing four nil loss last weekend as they play the Central Coast Mariners today, while the Wellington Phoenix are desperate to overcome their loosing streak.

The Wellington Phoenix will host Newcastle at Sky Stadium from 5pm this afternoon. 

Seasoned All White Tim Payne is among critical players injured. 

"He's somebody that Chiefy [Head Coach] would be desperate to call upon and unfortunately, it seems like for this particular fixture, he's someone that literally is going to be on ice," Sky Sport Commentator Jacob Spoonley said.
