In this episode of the 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson, Ben examines claims from federal prosecutors that hundreds of non-citizens voted in Washington state elections and discuss what officials describe as only a fraction of a larger problem. They break down the Justice Department's investigation, the debate over access to voter registration data, and the broader political fight surrounding election security. The conversation also explores the Trump administration's move to suspend a visa-related travel authorization program for Chinese nationals, concerns about birth tourism, and allegations that foreign actors may be exploiting pathways to U.S. citizenship.

Federal investigators say they have identified more than 400 non-citizens who allegedly cast over 1,500 ballots in Washington state elections, raising new questions about election integrity, voter eligibility verification, and the scope of unlawful voting. At the same time, the Department of Homeland Security is moving to suspend a travel program that allowed certain Chinese nationals to visit the Northern Mariana Islands without a visa, citing concerns about birth tourism, national security, and potential abuse of U.S. immigration policies.

Topics Covered:
Federal investigation into alleged non-citizen voting in Washington state
Claims involving more than 1,500 ballots cast by over 400 identified individuals
Debate over voter registration databases and election integrity enforcement
The SAVE Act and the national discussion surrounding voter eligibility verification
