He co-founded The Felix Organization, which supports children in foster care, launched Darryl Makes Comics, and has used his platform to advocate for adoption awareness, mental health, and purpose-driven living. He is the co-author of the memoir Ten Ways Not to Commit Suicide and the autobiography King of Rock.
