Waiting for the gift that can save or change your life

View descriptionShare

Have you ever had to wait for something? Have you had to wait for months and months and in some cases years? For those who are on the transplant waiting list, this is their everyday. The question though is how do you wait for something that may not come?

In this episode we hear first hand from double liver transplant patient Peter Quinn on how he waited five months for his first liver after being given only between six weeks and six months to live.

Associate Professor James Olver, one of our Liver Transplant Psychiatrists also joins us to talk through how those on the waiting list can stay mentally well and where they can seek help if they are struggling.
