Tech Friday on Leave for 3 weeks

I’m on leave for the first several weeks of July, so Tech Friday will be back on 22/7/2022.

Of course as all ways, the show must go on (grin) with Talking Tech.

A Little Handy Tip I picked up for the Notes app

If you just select a Note you have already done without actually editing the note by double tapping on it if you are a VoiceOver user, you can simply read the note without the annoyance of the on screen keyboard coming up or you accidentally entering text in to the note.

A Small but Very General Helpful Purchase from Apple Last week

An Aspect of A11Y That No one Seems to talk About Any more - Background Music on Videos, Podcasts etc

Radio stations including the ABC do this all the time. If you listen to the updated of the news via your smart speaker, u’ll get music in the background, when they do a traffic report on live radio, you’ll get music in the background.

May sound nice, but for folks with hearing and processing issues, it is down wright inaccessible and annoying.

Yes, Captions will be a thing of the past: i.e. those annoying things where you have to count the number of traffic lights in a photo or listen to a poor quality accessible audio alternative.

Don’t Buy These Apple Products

Simply, because there not being upgraded or at end of life etc.

My main 3 are the Apple Watch S3, Apple TV HD, and the iPhone 12 mini.
