  • ID Exchange’s Founder, Joanne Cooper is the entrepreneurial daughter of Australian IT pioneer Tom Cooper who introduced the luggable mobile computer, the Osborne 1, in the 1980s.
  • At age of 18, she founded her first company, Fox Computers & has worked with big players in the telecommunications space, including international players from Taiwan. In 2015, she founded ID Exchange, an early stage startup that strives towards social privacy innovation and digital ethics. Blazing a trail for women in tech I reckon.
  • Currently she is forging Privacy Enhancing Technologies for individuals by developing advanced digital consent controls to regain Personally Identifiable Information (PII) usage trust.
  • Joanne’s experience includes Head of European Distribution for Taiwanese PC manufacturer IMC and APAC Development for leading Boston consulting firm The Yankee Group. In 2002, she joined Optus Australia as a Cloud Specialist then in 2007 moved into Financial Services with Allianz Australia. Joanne has received innovation accolades for crafting leading edge commercial solutions and was listed on the prestigious One World Identity Top 100 Global Influencers list for 2018.
  • During 2017 as a delegate on the Australian British Chamber of Commerce’s London FinTech mission, Joanne secured an exclusive partnership with UK firm digi.me to expedite their leading personal data sharing platform for Australian and New Zealand Consumers and the wider FinTech ecosystem to facilitate direct and permissioned consumer data access via a decentralised, secure and GDPR compliant technology solution.
